The Barefoot Immortal suddenly rembered the rules myth that Director Rosen set and said, "Although this haunted house is a filming location, it’s said to be very ominous. Especially the mirror in the bathroom, covered with a black cloth, shouldn’t be uncovered easily, or the consequences would be unimaginable!"
"What consequences? Another rules myth?" ng Die was a hundred percent skeptical, thinking it was just a gimmick the director used to enhance the atmosphere.
"Earlier when we went back to the room, didn’t Ms. ng Die notice anything unusual about our boss’s behavior?" The Barefoot Immortal asked.
"Are you talking about how he was wandering in the hallway dazedly, shouting ’seeds, drinks, mineral water’?" ng Die recalled that when she ran into Rosen in the hallway earlier, indeed, Rosen’s behavior was quite strange.
But she still chuckled and said, "This might be his most normal state. I’ve seen him truly abnormal before, like breaking the void with one punch, if you know what I an."
"Like this?" The Barefoot Immortal lifted his leg and kicked forward, smashing the void to form a void vortex.
ng Die saw this, shook her head, and said, "That doesn’t count. After all, the leg’s strength is far beyond the fist. Try seeing if you can break the void with a punch?"
Curious, the Barefoot Immortal wondered if he could indeed break the void with a punch?
So, he swung out what he thought was his best punch forward.
At that mont, his punch was easily caught by ng Die.
ng Die teased him, "With such a soft punch like this, let alone break the void, I can catch it easily too."
"So, Director Rosen is actually not normal, being able to shatter the void with a punch?" The Barefoot Immortal realized then that ng Die’s words made sense.
"So, does that an the black cloth over the mirror in the bathroom can be taken off?" Through analogous reasoning, the Barefoot Immortal ca to this conclusion.
"Of course, it can be. What rules myth? I don’t believe any of it. If a normal person said it, I might believe a little, but from an abnormal person, I don’t believe even a punctuation mark!" ng Die said emphatically.
"Alright then, I’ll go and take the black cloth off the bathroom mirror right now and prove this urban legend false!"
The Barefoot Immortal rushed with small quick steps, swiftly heading towards the bathroom.
As soon as he entered the bathroom, he saw the mirror hanging on the wall, and suddenly, a sharp scream burst out, "Ah!~"
"What happened to scare you like this?!" ng Die was also frightened by the Barefoot Immortal’s scream and hurriedly rushed to the bathroom.
She found the Barefoot Immortal sitting on the ground with wide eyes, pointing his right hand towards the mirror.
Following the direction he pointed, ng Die saw the reflection of the Barefoot Immortal’s panicked face and her own inexplicable confused expression in the mirror.
"What’s wrong? The scene in the mirror is normal. Why are you so scared?" ng Die said, speechless.
"It’s not that. I an, when I just ca to the bathroom, I found the black cloth on the mirror had already been taken off by soone, so I got scared."
The Barefoot Immortal gulped nervously and said, "Could there really be sothing unclean? Shouldn’t we pack up and move out?"
Seeing the Barefoot Immortal in such disarray, ng Die couldn’t help but feel frustrated, sneering, "What, just this can scare you? To be honest, I took down the black cloth on the mirror beforehand. Since the day I moved in, I never believed those urban legends or rules myths."
Upon hearing this, the Barefoot Immortal finally relaxed.
ng Die pulled the Barefoot Immortal up from the ground, patted the dust off his backside, and comforted him, "Since you think the mirror is eerie, why don’t we get a new one? This way, you shouldn’t be scared anymore, right?"
"Of course, if we get a new one, what is there to fear?" Saying so, the Barefoot Immortal lifted his big foot and smashed the mirror on the wall, leaving ng Die no choice but to replace the mirror.
Quickly, ng Die made a call, asking soone to bring over a mirror from her ho.
It was a mirror made of diamond, and ng Die found she was more accustod to using this one, as it made her reflection appear more radiant.
Just as they hung the mirror on the wall, a scene appeared in the mirror.
It showed Rosen’s image in the mirror.
"Ah!~" The Barefoot Immortal scread in panic again.
Actually, you can’t bla him. After all, Rosen wasn’t in the room; how could his image appear in the mirror?
ng Die giggled a bit, feeling disappointed, and said, "Look at you as a manager; with such little courage, why not just stick with from now on."
The Barefoot Immortal said shyly, "I am with you now, sister, but I’ve never had the chance to build courage."
"Don’t worry. The mirror I brought from ho is a smart one. It not only reflects my image but also has a desktop wallpaper."
After ng Die explained, the Barefoot Immortal realized that what he saw was just a wallpaper.
However, he suddenly felt a twinge of jealousy and said, "Why is your wallpaper a photo of Director Rosen?"
