Everyone was amazed at how the Barefoot Immortal used his fighting spirit to dissolve the gas, a power shocking enough in itself. But what truly impressed Rosen was the Immortal’s formidable aura. Once that aura was unleashed, it would cover an area of tens of thousands of miles, rendering even a Daluo Golden Immortal helpless, as they would perish in its presence.
"The aura of the Barefoot Immortal was already incredibly strong, and now with Gengar’s gas added, no one would be able to resist his aura anymore. This greatly enhances our combat strength."
Just as Rosen was reviewing the situation, ng Die found a way to successfully leave the storybook world.
ng Die said, "We’ve always been searching for a storybook to leave this world, not realizing that this world is the storybook itself. We don’t need to search; we’ve already found it."
Hearing this, Rosen and the Barefoot Immortal were simultaneously so shocked that their jaws dropped to the floor.
"You don’t need to be so surprised. After all, it’s the truth. We’re inside the storybook, so we don’t need to look any further to find the exit."
After saying this, ng Die grabbed Rosen and the Barefoot Immortal by the arms and said, "I’m taking you out of here now."
With that, she opened a teleportation channel and led Rosen and the Immortal away.
When they reached the outside, Rosen and the Barefoot Immortal still couldn’t understand what had just happened, and they probably would never comprehend it.
ng Die’s logic was too bizarre; she simply said she found an exit and indeed found a way out, then actually led them out. Rosen felt this must be so kind of idealist power.
After the three left the storybook world, two choices lay before them.
One was to return to the Celestial Court and continue being immortals, and the other was to leave the Immortal Class, take the chosen ones, and create a new life.
Of course, they chose the latter.
At that ti, the chosen one was reverted to his original form by Rosen, using Pangu Realm’s cycle of rebirth to return him to the ti when his identity was Xuantian.
Seeing their master erge from the Pangu World and regain his mories, Rosen and ng Die were both very excited.
"Master, we’ve finally revived you!" ng Die hugged Xuantian’s leg and said.
Xuantian’s mouth twitched as he said, "Sorry, my leg is not for hugging, but for kicking."
Upon hearing this, ng Die’s mouth twitched too, then she kicked Xuantian’s leg.
"Owww!" Xuantian scread in pain.
Xuantian imdiately explained, "That’s not what I ant. I ant my leg is for kicking others, not for you to kick ."
"Oh, I thought you ant your leg was for being kicked." ng Die said with a defiant look.
Faced with such a mischievous disciple, Xuantian shook his head and sighed, then looked towards his second disciple, whom he had taken after his death.
"I finally have a relatively normal disciple. All the experts under before were sowhat abnormal. ng Die was the most abnormal, followed by the Barefoot Immortal," Xuantian said to Rosen.
Reflecting on Xuantian’s words, Rosen thought Xuantian himself seed a bit abnormal. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gotten the non-normal human rankings wrong.
Arguing, he said, "No, the Barefoot Immortal is obviously more abnormal than Xuantian. How can you say ng Die is more abnormal?"
"I understand your point," Xuantian said. "The Barefoot Immortal often wears a hundred pairs of socks and releases a massive aura. Although such behavior isn’t quite normal, it’s within reason since aura is his attack style."
While Xuantian was speaking, the Barefoot Immortal attempted to bribe him with his foot gri.
Xuantian continued, "By comparison, ng Die is extrely abnormal. Why would a perfectly good person always think of themselves as a butterfly and cosplay every day? Such a child cannot be saved, you know."
"Ah!" Hearing this, Rosen finally realized Xuantian’s way of judging.
Just when Rosen thought Xuantian had finished speaking, Xuantian added, "Moreover, ng Die has actually lived for thousands of years but has always maintained the appearance of a five-year-old, implying a significant issue—her brain probably suffered trauma, ceasing developnt."
Listening to Xuantian’s explanation, Rosen looked at ng Die’s petite figure and indeed saw signs of arrested growth.
"So what should we do? We should help ng Die," Rosen said sympathetically.
"Helping her is simple. We must enter ng Die’s Chapters and review her childhood to find the cause and save her," Xuantian concluded, as Rosen seed to recall sothing.
Rosen said, "I rember ng Die once ntioned that during her childhood, she was with her sister when a sudden Little Ice Age froze her sister to death, while she managed to escape danger by ti-traveling. Her arrested developnt likely started then."
Hearing Rosen’s account, Xuantian’s expression beca serious, and he sighed, "I didn’t expect you to care for her more than I, as her master, do. Since you understand her so well, let’s go together—I’ll take you back to that ti and attempt to erase ng Die’s childhood psychological shadow so she can grow normally."
