"Ah, this?!" Rosen was suddenly startled. This thod of evolution was so familiar.

"Miao Renfeng, are you sure your Gu King isn’t a Digimon?"

"What else? Do you think it’s a Pokémon? If it’s not a Pokémon, then it’s a Digimon. Guess for yourself." Miao Renfeng said speechlessly.

Rosen thought he made a lot of sense, just like how a person can either be a man or a woman, a monster that’s not a Pokémon can only be a Digimon, deductive reasoning.

But it looked like a Digimon he’d never seen before.

This ti, Miao Renfeng explained, "My Gu King is amazing. Even after it dies, it can beco a Digimon egg and return to the novice village, which is the Miaojiang Gu King location. So following out is like a vacation for it, and it won’t die, because it can hatch from an egg again if it does."

"That’s so aweso! After evolving into the Great Gu King Beast, does it have any advantages?"

"The advantages are huge. For example, after its size increases, its appetite will beco a hundred tis bigger than it was, making it a proper glutton."

Hearing this, Rosen and ng Die’s faces simultaneously darkened.

Rosen checked his wallet, it only had enough money to buy a ton of breakfast.

And ng Die patted her stomach, feeling it was almost empty.

Just as everyone was tidying up the battlefield.

ng Die suddenly said, "Did you notice that despite our fierce battle earlier, it didn’t attract the attention of other Demon Race creatures in the abyss?"

"Hmm, that’s indeed strange, so I suspect there are Demon Race ambushes around!" Rosen stated his hypothesis.

"How can you be sure there are Demon Race ambushes?" ng Die beca alert, but was still uncertain. He feared Rosen was just being paranoid.

After all, it was so quiet around, there was no sign of Demon Race hiding, right?

If a Demon Race were hiding nearby, they would surely make a growling noise from hunger.

But just then, a growl made ng Die alert.

His expression changed imdiately!

"Who, who made that noise?!" ng Die looked around in horror.

Power King stood out awkwardly and said, "It was , I was so hungry after using up so much energy in the fight."

Upon hearing this, the tension on ng Die’s face vanished. He looked at Rosen and said, "Did you possibly get it wrong? It’s very quiet around here, there’s no Demon Race hiding."

"No, it’s precisely because it’s quiet that it’s eerie. This abyss is the Demon Race’s headquarters, the quieter it is, the more abnormal it is." Rosen explained his judgnt.

"Then where do you think the abnormality is?"

As ng Die asked, Rosen walked up to a wall and pointed at it, "Have you noticed that this wall, despite being uneven, has a kind of flat feeling?"

It’s notable that the walls here are all stone and uneven, where does the flat feeling co from?

But in reality, just as Rosen pointed out the problem, Power King eagerly charged, punching forcefully!

"Co out, Demon Race hiding behind the wall!"

Power King smashed the wall with a punch, then said, "See, there’s nothing, so you were overthinking."

Rosen saw the smashed wall, his expression changed.

"It seems I was overthinking." Saying so, Rosen broke out in a cold sweat.

Just as everyone turned to leave.

One of the shattered stones on the ground suddenly transford into a Demon Race.

The Demon Race wiped the cold sweat from its forehead and said, "Looks like I fooled them."

Imdiately, the Demon Race connected with the main base deep within the abyss through a walkie-talkie.

"Reporting to the main base, I followed the humans who invaded our main base and didn’t find anything unusual."

A voice ca from the other side: "Were you discovered? I suspect there’s a possibility, that you were discovered, and they used that to pretend they didn’t notice you."

The Demon Race smiled at the words and said, "If that’s the case, how would I know if they found or not? And your question is redundant, isn’t it?"

"It’s different; you can find clues from their micro-expressions to confirm whether they discovered you."

"That’s why we told you to read more psychology books, but you didn’t listen. Now you regret it, right?"

The call imdiately ended, as the Demon Race watched the humans walk away and quickly followed them.

Rosen and his group occasionally looked back as they progressed.

"What are you looking at?" ng Die suddenly asked Rosen.

"Nothing."

"Really nothing, then why are you looking back?"

"Because I saw you keep looking back, so I looked back too." Rosen said.

"That sounds strange, because I was looking back because I saw you often looking back." ng Die said, puzzled.

"So, who looked back first?" Barefoot Immortal also asked suspiciously.

"This question has no answer," Miao Renfeng said. "Like the chicken or the egg dilemma, what they said is full of contradictions."

Power King then said, "Based on my research on Tai Chi, yin and yang coexist, so there’s no sequence problem."

After hearing Power King’s words, Rosen imdiately understood and said, "Is there a possibility that everyone’s looking back due to a subconscious feeling that, regardless of the opposition, cos from a shared cause, like feeling we’re being followed?"

When Rosen said this, everyone turned around and looked behind them.

They saw that the corridor behind them was empty, not a single person in sight.

"Who, who’s hiding there? I saw your tail!" Barefoot Immortal suddenly bluffed.

This startled everyone, and they shouted simultaneously, "What kind of Demon Race is hiding there? Co out, or we’ll attack!"

As they kept roaring into the darkness, in the dark corner, the Demon Race shook with fear.

It took out the walkie-talkie and said, "Reporting to the main base, I think I’ve been discovered. What should I do? They said they saw my tail!"

"The answer is simple: ask yourself if you have a tail," the walkie-talkie replied.

Upon hearing this, the Demon Race suddenly cald down.

"Right, I am a tail-less Demon Race. How could humans have seen my tail?"

It quickly figured out it was fooled by these humans.

Just as the Demon Race relaxed and prepared to continue following.

Power King suddenly charged fiercely again, shouting, "I told you to co out, you don’t believe , so I’ll force you out!"

Saying so, Power King’s fist turned into a blur, striking towards the darkness behind them.

The Demon Race saw this scene and was terrified.

It imdiately shapeshifted into gravel form to avoid disaster.

Power King then looked at the gravel on the ground, his expression dimd: "Looks like I was overthinking it."

Rosen patted Power King on the shoulder and said, "Power King, you’re too sensitive to suspect there’s a Demon Race following us?"

Power King felt quite embarrassed and said, "It’s better to be safe than sorry. We’re secretly infiltrating the abyss. If the Demon Race finds out, it would ruin all our efforts."

"Don’t worry, Power King, it seems the Demon Race is all at work and has no ti to notice our infiltration into the abyss," ng Die reassured.

Power King nodded and put away his doubts.

But just then, Rosen looked at the gravel on the ground, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, and then turned to catch up with the group.

"Wait, did he discover just now?" The Demon Race disguised as gravel imdiately beca nervous.

It quickly reported this suspicion to the headquarters.

The headquarters’ response was to let it continue following at a distance and not to expose itself.

Just after finishing the notice, the Demon Race headquarters started a eting to discuss the human invasion of the abyss.

"This is the first ti we’ve seen humans invade the abyss. We don’t yet have a definite assessnt of human combat strength."

"But from the mouth of the predecessors who left the abyss, we learned that less than one-tenth of those who left ca back."

"What, the death rate of our Demon Race predecessors who left the abyss is close to ninety percent?!"

This news shocked the Demon Race greatly.
