Chapter 1460: Chapter 1029, The Elf Spy
The bright moonlight scattered shards of silver on the ground.
The Dragon Queen was dressed in a purple, gold-patterned nightdress, her long brown hair cascading down to her waist.
Even with so ornants removed, seated in front of the dressing table, she exuded a dignified and noble beauty.
A pair of arms encircled her waist, hot breaths ward her ear, and she felt as though her entire being was enveloped in the man’s presence.
Her heartbeat grew stronger, and her body began to heat up.
“Speak. What do you want to discuss?” The Dragon Queen tilted her head, leaning close to his cheek, and softly asked.
“I want to whisper it to you, mouth to mouth, so no outsiders can hear.”
His audacious words made the Dragon Queen’s heart skip a beat.
She felt those large hands already roaming her body, bolder than ever before.
The Dragon Queen’s body softened, and she promptly said sternly, “What are you doing? Don’t overstep!”
Fang Hao held her slender waist and whispered, “We’ve been together for so long. Isn’t it ti we took the next step?”
The Dragon Queen’s face turned red, her skin flush with heat—even though she had purposefully left the door open for him.
But hearing these words still left her feeling both embarrassed and annoyed.
She was the Dragon Queen—when did anyone dare to speak to her like this?
“Let go of , or I’ll make you feel pain if I strike.”
Fang Hao leaned closer to her ear and murmured, “Sweetheart, I’m begging you.”
Warm breaths blew into her ear, causing the Dragon Queen’s body to tremble.
Back in the overlapping space, when Fang Hao nearly died within it, the Dragon Queen had already made a decision in her heart. If he returned safely, she’d put down her pride and be with him wholeheartedly.
Though she wasn’t certain if it was the right choice.
Tonight, she hadn’t left the room, leaving the door open for him.
Yet wanting and doing are two vastly different matters.
She found it hard to bear such bold advances.
Her eyes glared at him, “Let go of first.”
Fang Hao released her and sat down on the bed.
The Dragon Queen glared at him once again, adjusted her dress, and shut the door tightly.
Then she also sat on the bed, and spoke quietly, “What’s your plan for Beata?”
Fang Hao was startled but cautiously asked, “What about Beata?”
“Beata likely has feelings for you. The Dragon Clan is straightforward—they love fiercely and hate fervently. Haven’t you noticed anything?”
The Dragon Queen understood her daughter’s temperant well.
She might have caught so minor signs or actions that revealed Beata’s feelings.
“Are you joking?”
“Don’t be fooled by her avoiding this place—I know her well enough. If she truly likes you, what’s your plan?”
So, it’s just intuition? He thought there was actual evidence. How terrifying.
“What do you think I should do?”
The Dragon Queen, knowing her daughter’s personality, thought for a mont and said, “When the ti cos, I’ll talk to her. She’s still young and might forget about it later. If not, there’s nothing we can do. Thankfully, we’re not truly mother and daughter—as long as outsiders don’t find out, it’s not a big deal.”
Fang Hao’s eyes widened, shocked at the Dragon Queen’s words.
Did she just agree for him to romantically reciprocate both herself and her daughter?
Thinking carefully, it was possible the Dragon Queen had already noticed sothing and thus maintained a certain distance for so long.
But with their growing emotions and Fang Hao’s near-death experience outside…
After witnessing life and death, so emotions beca hard to suppress any longer.
In other words, she decided not to dwell on it.
What could matter more than life and death? Moreover, this wasn’t a situation of violating one’s heart.
In the upper ranks of various clans, such things weren’t uncommon—in fact, they were sotis flaunted.
Besides, they weren’t truly mother and daughter. As long as no one gossiped, it was fine.
Fang Hao grasped the aning behind her words, and a surge of joy filled his heart as he flipped her onto the bed.
The Dragon Queen lay there, her gaze slightly evasive, “What are you doing?”
Fang Hao leaned over her, brushing her hair away from her face, and gently whispered, “Fulfilling my duty as your husband.”
“Duty? You say that as though you’re being so responsible about it.”
The Dragon Queen turned her head away, muttering under her breath.
Fang Hao pinched her chin, turning her face back to him, and before she could say anything, he sealed her lips.
“Mmh~!”
The Dragon Queen was caught off guard, letting out muffled protests.
Fang Hao had spent over two months recovering in the cocoon, accumulating plenty of energy.
Now that things had progressed this far, he wasn’t inclined to stop.
Seeing her resistance…
He gave her waist a light slap and said, “Don’t make a fuss. You don’t want the entire Lord’s Mansion to hear, do you? And have this spread tomorrow?”
The Dragon Queen looked at him incredulously, then bit her lip and turned away.
Fang Hao kissed her again.
This ti, she only struggled briefly before giving in. Her eyes closed, her delicate face flushed, her arms draped softly over his shoulders, and one hand hooked around his neck.
Her nightdress was pulled up to her waist, her embroidered shoes dangling in the air off the bed’s edge.
…
The next day.
At dawn, Anjia’s voice rang out through the territory.
She called for Eira and the servants to rise and train early.
It seed the divinity had indeed sparked significant motivation, making Anjia more energetic than ever.
In the hall, all the heroes had gathered.
Among them, Beata and Demitrija had successfully ascended to demigods after absorbing divinity last night.
The current strength of the territory was such that it could not only single-handedly confront any race…
But also wage war against the entire world and still manage.
Only the Dragon Queen hadn’t absorbed the “Lord of Fla’s” divinity last night, as the two had spent the entire night talking.
If she had absorbed it, her divinity level would likely have reached the peak—or she might have directly ascended to beco a chief god.
Sitting on the throne, Fang Hao subconsciously rubbed his lower back.
Rolana, who was seated nearby, noticed his actions and asked, “What’s wrong?”
He had already beco a god and shouldn’t exhibit the fatigue-like movents of re mortals.
Last night, Fang Hao and the Dragon Queen had finally broken past the last barrier in their relationship. Although they had prepared themselves, so first-ti pain had caused the Dragon Queen to react instinctively.
She had almost crushed his waist.
A high-ranking god, paired with a Dragon Clan mber renowned for their physical prowess—a scissor kick was no trivial matter.
It was akin to being split in half.
Fortunately, the Dragon Queen felt so guilt and gave him sufficient compensation.
When Rolana asked, Fang Hao casually stretched his shoulders and said, “Nothing, just stretching a little.”
The Dragon Queen, sitting on the other side, cast him a warning glare.
Rolana didn’t inquire further and directly brought up official matters, “The Silvermoon Emissary captives are all locked in the Blood Prison—we need to deal with them as soon as possible.”
Yesterday, Rolana had presented two issues.
One was the war in the Undead Desert; the other concerned the spies from the Elf Clan.
Fang Hao had prioritized handling the undead first and placed the spies second.
“Head to the dungeon and bring a few captives here.”
“Yes, Sir.”
The guard at the door, Nisbit, responded and swiftly left.
When he returned, he brought three humans inside.
Among them, two were dressed like ordinary residents, and one appeared to be a traveling rchant.
All three had sowhat haggard expressions—it was evident that life in the dungeon hadn’t been kind to them.
As soon as they entered the hall, the three imdiately began to cry and plead.
“My Lord, I’m just passing through! I’m not so spy or traitor. I don’t even know how to read—how could I be anything like that?”
“I’m a woodcutter. My mother is sick at ho, and if I stay locked up any longer, she might not survive.”
“I’m a traveling rchant from Pruell City, just passing through, my Lord!”
The three cried out simultaneously, creating a chaotic scene.
Fang Hao’s gaze first landed on the one claiming to be a traveling rchant.
He asked, “You’re a rchant from Pruell City? What kind of business do you run? Who’s the City Lord?”
“The City Lord is Lord Tavek. At the start of the year, he held a banquet inviting us rchants, encouraging trade with the Orcs and Trolls. I’m just passing through, Sir!” the man exclaid loudly.
Fang Hao studied him closely and discovered that his statents were entirely true.
So, he was genuinely just a rchant from Pruell City.
“So, you’re not gathering intelligence?”
“I’m a rchant who lost his way while traveling through your territory, Sir. My backpack even contains a trading permit issued by Lord Tavek.”
Fang Hao glanced at Rolana.
She winked at him, then picked up her teacup and took a sip.
Clearly, she had no interest in the matter.
It seed that his return had led her to lose any inclination to intervene.
Fang Hao didn’t bother wasting words with the rchant and gestured with a flick of his hand.
A circular curtain imdiately appeared around the hall, projecting scenes from the rchant’s mories.
Images of his childhood, inheriting the shop, marrying, having children, eting Blood Clan mbers, scheming at Crescent Heights, and relocating people played out.
When the most recent events unfolded, Fang Hao clenched his fist lightly.
The scene froze on a mont where he t a man.
The display resud at a normal pace, and the dialogue of the two was audible to all.
They discussed one thing.
Bringing back any intelligence related to the main city here would earn a reward and so sort of rit.
“rit,” likely referred to accomplishnts necessary for promotion.
Once all the scenes concluded, the rchant sat limp on the floor, his face pale, staring at Fang Hao in terror.
What kind of power was this?
It wasn’t ntal intrusion or hypnosis but the ability to display the scenes from one’s mory openly to everyone.
Before such power, what secrets could one possibly keep?
“Anything else you’d like to explain?”
The rchant, recovering from his shock, prostrated himself and said, “Ask anything—I’ll tell you everything, just please spare my life.”
At this point, what was the purpose of speaking?
The questions had already been answered through the projections.
Fang Hao remained silent and turned to the other two dressed as ordinary residents. “You claim you wandered here by mistake?”
Having observed his abilities, the two had no intention of lying.
They could only respond honestly, “I was paid to co near the area, but before I found anything, I got caught.”
The other added, “Soone asked to find a route close to this city, so I ca here.”
Impressive. Three people.
Not one of them was innocent.
Fang Hao nodded and directly ordered, “Send these individuals to Lyss City. Have Rebecca investigate thoroughly and root out everyone involved behind the scenes.”
“Understood.” Demitrija nodded, making arrangents for the prisoners to be transported.
Quickly killing them would indeed be convenient.
But keeping them alive for an investigation might yield additional gains.
After the three were led away…
Rolana continued to raise the issue, “The Elf Clan’s Silvermoon Emissaries infiltrate various races. Even if we apprehend these individuals, new ones will arrive in a few days to continue gathering intelligence.”
Fang Hao considered and nodded.
“Rolana, stay here and oversee the main city. Dragon Queen, prepare yourself—we’ll head directly to the Elf Clan.”
“Now?” asked the Dragon Queen.
“Now.”
“Alright!” The Dragon Queen went upstairs briefly, and when she returned, she was dressed in her battle gear.
Fang Hao also stood up and called out, “Chari!”
In the next instant, an ethereal beauty wearing a delicate sheer dress appeared, floating mid-air.
Chari’s sudden appearance drew everyone’s attention.
All gazes locked onto her.
“This is Chari, a mber of the territory. Everyone, make her acquaintance,” Fang Hao introduced.
The group nodded slightly in acknowledgnt.
Chari then turned to Fang Hao and asked, “You summoned ?”
Fang Hao nodded, “Send us to the Elf Clan’s main city.”
“Understood.”
Chari transford into a beam of light, wrapping them both.
The next mont, they vanished into thin air, leaving no trace.
