Chapter 55: Chapter 55 This is the Skull Soldier We Sold Chapter 55: Chapter 55 This is the Skull Soldier We Sold Undead creatures, as it turned out, weren’t particularly sensitive to minerals.

Hero Units were only good for fighting, that being the capability directly bestowed upon them by the Territory.

But as for prospecting, neither Fang Jie nor the other had learned how, nor had they any experience.

The only one in the territory with such capability were the magicians at the Sun Tower.

However, Fang Jie discovered that these alchemists lacked not only combat capabilities but also the ability to leave the Sun Tower.

These magicians were strictly confined to the Sun Tower and its vicinity, so Fang Jie could only have so Elite Undead learn a little on the fly and try to find so way to search, but it proved useless for several days.

“Master, news has co from over there; the Fortress has been successfully constructed.”

A female Ghost Servant flew over and respectfully inford Fang Jie.

Fang Jie nodded, waved his hand, and dismissed her.

Although these Ghost Servants could speak and had a certain level of cognitive ability, they still felt like robots, never quite like a normal person.

After shutting down the chat section, Fang Jie stepped out.

“After such a long ti, it’s finally been built; I should go check it out.”

Fang Jie left his Lord Mansion and rode a Skeleton War Elephant, leading a team towards the outskirts of his territory.

Cosette had taken only half of the Skeleton War Elephants, leaving the other half under Fang Jie’s control, forming part of the Guard Team.

As a Lord, without protective strength nearby, both would feel unsafe.

Along the way, Fang Jie could see massive swathes of farmland, densely planted with crops that grew tall.

“These crops, how long until they’re ready to harvest?

They seem to be growing quite fast.”

Accompanied by a rather pleasing female Ghost Servant—since she was a bit smarter and more appealing than other Undead—Fang Jie kept her around to explain things.

“Replying to my master, these crops can be harvested once a month.”

Well, the unscientific things in this world were already nurous, and this was no exception.

How long it took to harvest crops in a normal field was unknown to Fang Jie, but harvesting monthly was certainly extraordinary.

It was just unclear whether the yield was equally remarkable; he had never heard those large cities lacking food.

Of course, it could also be they had a vast demand, hence he wasn’t aware yet.

Jia Siwei had just penetrated local noble circles using the advanced herbal dicines and agarwood provided by Fang Jie, fervently developing his business channels.

But these endeavors were still superficial, and so details remained unknown.

Perhaps there were also so things being concealed from him, but Fang Jie had no way to check.

By the ti he reached the Fortress, Fang Jie saw a trendously impressive wall.

Constructed from stone and wood, it connected two hill slopes together, a truly magnificent scene.

“Excellent, excellent, have you planned the troop deploynt locations yet?”

“Forget it, asking is pointless.” Fang Jie realized he was severely lacking in Hero Units, not even having enough for city defense.

He could only make do with Elite Units, as commanding so many Undead in battle was unfeasible.

Fang Jie spotted an empty space and imdiately constructed ten Apprentice Level Skeleton Conversion Fields.

Should a battle arise here, corpses could imdiately be processed to reinforce the Fortress’s troops.

Just as Fang Jie was inspecting his Fortress, a team hurriedly approached from the south.

“My Lord, a special target has been spotted in the south,” said a sowhat dazed skeleton to Fang Jie.

It was an Elite Unit, which was already capable of speech and might soon challenge to be a Hero.

“Excellent, excellent, what did you say just now?

What special target?”

It seed that since this unit could talk and express itself, Fang Hao had sent it over.

Ji Guang was currently in the south, and Cosette had taken teams to explore the north.

“We found a special team, composed entirely of Skull Soldiers.”

“Skull Soldiers?

Seems there are other folks around who have converted to the Undead Camp.”

Fang Jie was sowhat conflicted, but he knew that although they were fellow Earth people, those he could control needed to be kept in check; he couldn’t just leave them be.

He could choose not to interfere with them, but that didn’t an they wouldn’t cause him trouble.

Fang Jie had so understanding of how much trouble his own people from Earth could potentially cause.

“Those are the Skull Soldiers we sold.”

We sold them?

Fang Jie widened his eyes—indeed, he had sold quite a few recently.

But encountering such a large troop was rare; not many would buy so many at once.

Was he deceived by that guy Ji Guang, not engaging with the Beastman in battle?

“How many Skull Soldiers are there?” Fang Jie asked, but the dazed skeleton didn’t respond.

As expected, there were still issues with its sagacity.

“Forget it, I’ll go there myself.” After thinking it through, Fang Jie imdiately led a group of soldiers southward.

There was nothing needing his instructions left behind; this area was secure.

The forces led by Fang Hao in the south were substantial, so Fang Jie didn’t need to bring many.

The distance was not far, taking less than an hour to cover.

“This road is too difficult, I need to repair it.” Although Fang Jie didn’t have a road-building blueprint, a simple fix was still possible.

With so many Skeleton Labor under his command, it would be a waste not to use them.

If more were needed, he could manufacture them.

After all, what he had in abundance now was various Corpse Bones.

More than an hour later, Fang Jie arrived where Fang Hao was stationed.

Fang Hao was already there waiting, not idly, but having surrounded a valley up ahead.

“My Lord, over there should be where a Lord’s Territory is situated; the Skull Army we discovered is in this area,” directed Fang Hao.

Following the direction pointed out by Fang Hao, Fang Jie saw so Skull Soldiers moving around clogging the valley, which wasn’t very large.

Fang Jie raised his hand, releasing a Death Crow flying into the sky.

“It is indeed a Territory, and it seems to be part of the Forest Camp,” observed Fang Jie, looking down at the hidden domain, surrounded by large trees and dominated by green hues.

Who exactly was so fond of using a forgiving green to decorate?

This style certainly suggested so Forest Units; the only question was which type.

Goblins also belonged to a Forest Camp type, though they were sowhat ferocious.

“Since we’ve encountered it, we can’t let it go.

Charge in and wipe out any resistance; I want to et their Lord.”
