Persimmons should be squeezed when they’re the softest.
Seeing White Eagle’s team layer upon layer of defense made all the Undead Bosses shake their heads; none of them wanted to rush up and get into a head-on fight with this bunch.
This made things difficult for the rest of the foreign teams as they found the Undead army becoming fiercer than ever, as if completely unaware of what death was, fearlessly brave.
In fact, most of the Undead, not particularly intelligent, had no concept of death. They only beca fearlessly aggressive because their king had issued a death order.
Of course, those fearlessly fighting Undead were mostly just standard templates, but at the least they were all elite level.
As for the real Bosses, the elite Bosses were equally fearless in the charge, but the rare and hero Bosses hung back, directing their forces from behind while sneakily shooting arrows in the dark.
Undead Bosses that had lived for who knows how many years had all beco cunning, even if they started out stupid, especially since their king was an old scher; the subordinates had certainly taken after him.
Yamamoto Ichio had luckily escaped disaster, but had also suffered a heavy blow.
Edward had his underlings monitor the whole process and naturally identified who the leaders were within this team of foreigners. So when delivering Dark Knights with the ghost wolves, he had these Dark Knights specifically target these leaders.
It could be said that this sudden attack caught them off guard, not only halving the foreign team’s numbers but also dealing them a heavy blow, especially to the nations whose leaders were killed.
The ensuing chaos was only mitigated by a few nations’ teams which still had organized resistance. This was because most teams had lost their leaders and vice-leaders, causing their mbers to fail to coordinate properly, resulting in every man for himself, with strength not utilized as a union.
The relentless siege and assault of the Undead shattered the foreign teams into pieces, unable to form a cohesive whole and fully unleash their Fourth Order battle power.
Yamamoto Ichio now felt like vomiting blood. He never anticipated that after scheming against White Eagle, they would end up being outwitted by a mob of monsters.
Since when did the dim-witted Undead Bosses have such high intelligence, knowing collective combat, sneak attacks, and focus-firing the enemy?
The thought of his team, nearly two hundred strong, having lost more than a hundred mbers in an instant, made him contemplate death.
He knew very well that the people he had brought with him were highly significant, for they were needed to set up a large formation to trap the experts from White Crane Academy!
Now, with this heavy loss, the difficulty of trapping the experts from White Crane Academy had exponentially increased!
"Damn it! These damned Undead should all drop dead!"
Spitting out a mouthful of blood and chugging a potion to recover, Yamamoto Ichio commanded his rattled subordinates.
"Don’t hold back anymore, release your Shikigami and wipe out these Undead!"
The coalition teams had suffered severe damage; only three teams could still organize their ranks.
White Eagle, the Big Bear, and the Plaster Nation were the three, among which, White Eagle had the least casualties, losing only a few mbers at the periphery.
The people from Big Bear were inherently strong and, by relying on their staunch warrior’s bloodline, withstood the Dark Knights’ surprise attacks, losing only a dozen or so mbers.
The Plaster Nation was targeted particularly severely, losing hundreds of mbers. But as they had an abundance of people, nearly two hundred in their team, even after losing half, still had over a hundred standing strong, especially since Yamamoto Ichio was alive.
With the backbone intact, commanding the team wasn’t difficult, so the Plaster Nation quickly established a defensive line.
Fifty Shikigami, all Fourth Order Level 100 beings and all modeled after Lord Bosses, with formidable strength, managed to hold off the Dark Knights, Bone Dragon Legion, and the Undead army with relative ease.
Fight!
There were no battle cries; both sides went straight into a bayonet fight.
"Fuck! Lucky we had a trick up our sleeve; otherwise, we would have suffered significant losses this ti."
Gill felt relieved that the White Eagle team hadn’t suffered much damage but also felt a malicious pleasure seeing the severe casualties of the Plaster Nation.
However, upon seeing the little folks from the Plaster Nation summon Shikigami and only build a defensive line for themselves, his teeth itched with hatred.
"Gill, if our team is nearly wiped out, capturing the Epic Boss later will beco extrely difficult. We..."
"I know. You lead the group to form the spearhead, break through this group of Undead blocking us, first rescue the teams of nations that lost their leaders, then regroup with us."
For now, he didn’t care about Big Bear and the Plaster Nation, but those nations whose leaders and vice-leaders had died were perfect for courting, to make them the White Eagle’s fighters and cannon fodder!
Cunning, despite their teams suffering heavy losses, these Coalition of Nations teams were still scheming against others.
A spearhead was ford from the White Eagle team mbers, and with them ca the surrounding Holy Light, various Light Magic, and the Power of Holy Light attacks, quickly gathering the remaining smaller teams and pulling them into their fold.
And once these small teams were under unified command, they naturally broke free from fighting on their own and began to cooperate with the team, displaying even greater strength.
For a mont, the besieging Undead started to be pushed back, defeated at every turn.
