Chapter 296: Chapter 292: Fighting for One’s Life

The tentacle clashed against the steel sword with a dull sound, sticking to it like chewing gum, possessing extre resilience.

This flesh could transform between different states, making Zhu Wenwu feel troubled.

Zhu Wenwu did not let go but instead dragged the hilt of the steel sword downward at an angle, causing the flesh tentacle to stretch without breaking.

However, the steel sword seed to possess an extrely high temperature, continuously burning the decaying flesh.

As several people were drained, the flesh monster seed infused with nutrients, expanding and extending madly, soon covering half the outer wall, fully obscuring several windows, looking extrely terrifying.

Huang Biao shouted upon seeing this, "Everyone, move away from here, head out first."

This monster had clearly surpassed the level they could contend with, making retreat the best choice, even if there was a chance of winning.

Zhu Wenwu noticed that due to the flesh monster’s enlarged body, its weakness was now at a distance from him, leaving practically no chance of hitting it.

He finally pulled out the blade, retreating with the others, rolling sideways to avoid the impact of a tentacle.

Debris flew everywhere, and the tiled floor was easily smashed into a big pit.

The main body of the flesh monster had already entered the room through a large hole, with its tentacles extending forward, faster than their retreat.

Zhu Xin Xue stood at the door, shouting, "Zhu Wenwu, run!"

At this mont, Zhu Wenwu was at the back, with several tentacles completely blocking his retreat, surrounding him.

Xu Chu’s Sweat perceived Zhu Wenwu as the greatest threat among them and his primary target, thinking that once Zhu Wenwu was dealt with, the others wouldn’t pose much of a threat.

Zhu Wenwu stopped, looking back at the ground littered with corpses, feeling his heart tremble, like a branch shivering in the winter wind, hesitant yet resolute.

Xu Chu’s Sweat was startled, seeing Zhu Wenwu not retreating but coming straight at him with eerie speed, slipping through a montary gap.

The blood-red dagger seed more solid, with more vivid patterns, shining with an unusual glow.

Zhu Wenwu looked serious, completely abandoning unnecessary emotions, staring intently at the constantly moving weak point, the "heart" within the flesh monster.

He didn’t consciously think about what moves to use to get closer, everything was an instinctive reaction, muscle mory.

With a series of fluid and agile movents, Zhu Wenwu perfectly avoided the interception of four or five tentacles, reaching the flesh monster’s main body.

With one swift stab, he struck down.

Cleanly and efficiently, without any unnecessary movent, hitting the target directly, just like the most seasoned assassin.

The blade sliced into the decaying flesh, releasing a mist of blood surrounding the area, with a strong stench of blood.

"Pfff~"

Xu Chu’s Sweat grinned, revealing an exaggerated and bizarre smile, "Tch tch, is it really worth going to such lengths?"

A blood-red long spike pierced Zhu Wenwu’s body from below, leaving him standing rigidly in place, trembling slightly from unbearable pain, and from deep-seated fear.

Nobody can truly not fear death. The fearless are those who shove it to the back of their minds, refusing to think about it or think deeply about it; they are rough people, impulse-driven people.

The bright moonlight shone into the room through the hole in the wall, and a man wearing a coat appeared at the entrance, raising a gun aiming forward, casting a shadow diagonally fluttering with the wind.

"Boom~"

The roar of gunfire erupted, bullets flying through and hitting Xu Chu’s Sweat from behind, as the airflow expanded violently at high temperatures, creating a strong gust.

Most of the flesh exploded, splattering everywhere, even the steel sword was blown away, falling to the ground.

The power of that shot was quite exaggerated, thanks to "Wolf Fang" being able to unleash even greater might against large creatures.

Su Changxing surveyed the surroundings, frowning slightly, realizing he was still a step late.

He noticed halfway that the "flesh monster" was also heading in this direction, encountering many zombie corpses with shriveled bodies along the way.

"Xu Chu’s Sweat?"

Su Changxing voiced his suspicion, realizing that the monster in front of him was indeed Xu Chu’s Sweat, the aura was similar, as was the indistinct face.

All the flesh tentacles fell to the ground, leaving only half of Xu Chu’s Sweat’s body, looking at Su Changxing behind him:

"Su Changxing?"

He still seed in a daze, yet to recover from the booming noise earlier.

Su Changxing’s face turned cold, saying blandly, "I did not expect you to still beco a monster, should have killed you back then... I hesitated."

Xu Chu’s Sweat showed a surprised expression, then said with hatred:

"You knew? I knew it... No wonder Qin Decang reacted so quickly, all your fault, all your fault."

A heart-wrenching sound echoed in the room, both like crying and like roaring.

"But it was I who saved you."

Su Changxing raised the revolver, aiming at the remaining half of Xu Chu’s Sweat’s body, pulling the trigger again.

"Boom~"

Another booming sound occurred.

The remaining half of Xu Chu’s Sweat’s body was shattered too, leaving a large pit on the floor, with many debris sliding down to the next layer.

Zhu Wenwu sat weakly on the ground, gasping, turned his head to look outside the window, and said, "He didn’t die; he escaped, through those linked flesh."

On the ground, a piece of flesh linked to the outside of the window.

Su Changxing walked up to Zhu Wenwu, checking his injuries, took out a totem from his backpack, and planted it into the cracked floor:

"Your injuries are severe, you almost died."

Zhu Wenwu’s abdominal skin had already shriveled, part of the life force was extracted, a little slower, and death would await him.

Zhu Wenwu’s expression appeared sowhat dazed, "Is it? Feel a little... can’t feel it."

"Brother!"

Zhu Xin Xue rushed over from behind, squatting down to check Zhu Wenwu’s injuries, asked worriedly, "Master, my brother shouldn’t die, right?"

Su Changxing seed relaxed, "He’s fine now, anyway, he won’t die."

Zhu Wenwu’s wounds were recovering at a visible pace under the green light, although the shriveled abdominal skin was recovering slowly.

Zhu Xin Xue looked up at Su Changxing, pointing at Zhu Wenwu’s abdon, saying, "There is a flesh spike here, what to do?"

Su Changxing thought for a mont, then grabbed the end of the flesh spike and forcefully pulled it out, with black blood dripping from the tail of the spike onto the floor, soaking into the dust.

"Hiss~"

Zhu Wenwu drew a sharp breath, not calling out, only his arm kept trembling.

Huang Biao ca over, looking at the bodies on the ground, said in a deep voice, "That monster ran?"

Su Changxing nodded, "Mm, he seems to have a special escape ability, I didn’t find his trail."

Tao Yi intercepted below but didn’t encounter the fleeing Xu Chu’s Sweat.
