Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Misconception and Playing Along

’So this is a Giant Dragon?’

’And it’s still considered a juvenile? This thing is over ten ters long and almost two stories tall when it rears up, and you’re telling

it’s just a whelp?’

Well, it had to be said, the Tier Four advancent had truly given Lince a massive surprise.

The Rock Dragon Giant Lizard evolving into the Rock Steel Giant was a classic case of a successful Bloodline reversion.

It gained two new Skills, and even its other Low Tier Gale Cheetah Bloodline was promoted to a Middle Tier Bloodline.

Moreover, looking at the current 85% Growth Level, Lince now had a clear understanding of things.

It seed that in this ga, the experience reward was awarded in full, even when the Rock Steel Giant advanced from Low Tier to Middle Tier.

It didn’t have the annoying chanic of high levels nerfing low-level experience gains, a common feature in the trashy gas back on Blue Star.

Before evolving, the Rock Dragon Giant Lizard’s Growth Level was at 25%.

Lince, on the other hand, had collected 160% worth of Growth Level rewards.

So, the Rock Dragon Giant Lizard evolved into the Rock Steel Giant, and its Growth Level jumped directly to 85%.

’This True Ga is seriously generous!’

Of course, besides the generous ga chanics, what surprised Lince the most was that the Rock Steel Giant now had a new feature, or rather, an Ability.

It was sothing like a Transformation Technique, allowing it to take on the original form of other Demon Beast Bloodlines it possessed.

And right now, the form the Rock Steel Giant could change into was the so-called Gale Flying Leopard.

’A Flying Leopard?’

’A leopard that can fly?’

’I guess that’s a fantasy world for you—even leopards can fly.’

Lince was extrely curious, not even paying much mind to York and Lucia, who were waiting quietly a hundred ters away.

’Alright! Let’s try transforming and see what happens!’

Having entered the ga with his consciousness three tis, Lince was already very familiar with the Rock Dragon Giant Lizard’s—no, the Rock Steel Giant’s body.

The Power from its Bloodline, the inherited abilities from the Rock Steel Giant’s Bloodline—Lince could command all of it with a single thought.

There was no awkwardness at all; it was as if this had always been his own body, a perfect fit.

In reality, he was a Player, a mber of the Human Race, but here, he was a Demon Beast—the Rock Steel Giant.

And so, in the next mont.

The Rock Steel Giant’s newly ford Tier Four body seed to collapse inward, flesh and blood receding as its entire torso began to change.

Then, in the blink of an eye, the Rock Steel Giant in York and Lucia’s sight completely vanished.

In its place stood a magnificent cheetah, nearly four ters long.

The cheetah had smooth, white fur with blue markings, and a pair of wings sprouted from its back.

But unlike the Rock Steel Giant’s wings, this pair looked more like the feathered wings of an Eagle.

The wings spanned over six ters, graceful and lustrous.

Clearly, these wings were capable of carrying the cheetah into the sky.

The Rock Steel Giant’s previous wings clearly weren’t enough for that.

As Lince felt the information about the inherited Bloodline ability stream into his mind, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitent.

And so, under the dumbfounded gazes of York and Lucia, the Gale Flying Leopard shot into the sky in the next mont!

Flying. This was an experience Lince had never had before.

Listening to the roar of the wind, feeling as if he had broken free from the bonds of the earth—this sense of freedom was simply too exhilarating.

However, Lince didn’t get carried away.

He rely had the Flying Leopard’s body circle twice a thousand ters above the center of the swamp before descending back to the ground.

He landed about fifty ters away from York and Lucia.

Folding the Gale Flying Leopard’s wings, its whole body seed to surge outward with flesh and blood in the next instant, transforming back into the much larger form of the Rock Steel Giant.

[Player has switched back to the main form. The current form-shifting feature is on cooldown. Cooldown ti: 6 hours.]

A stream of information appeared in Lince’s mind.

Lince paid it no mind.

Because at this mont, York and Lucia had clearly recovered from their astonishnt at Lince’s two forms and were hurrying forward with their child to pay their respects.

York raised his head and called out, half-kneeling with his sword in hand. He looked full of Spirit and confidence.

"Praise to the great and noble Your Majesty!"

"Your faithful servant, York Smith, has co for an audience in accordance with the Oracle!"

Lucia echoed his cry and knelt on the ground with York.

Looking down at the two of them.

’How should I put this? From my current Giant Dragon perspective, the couple looks truly minuscule.’

Still, Lince maintained an approachable deanor.

The Giant Dragon slowly lowered its body, bringing its massive head down in front of them.

At the sa ti, Lince spoke in a gentle, calm tone:

"Good. You may both rise."

Upon hearing this, York and Lucia imdiately gave their thanks. "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

With that, they both scrambled to their feet, only to hear the Deity before them speak again.

"My servant, you look much more spirited than before."

Lince’s sudden comnt caught York by surprise, but he quickly recovered and replied with a serious expression:

"Your Majesty overpraises !"

"This is all thanks to Your Majesty’s repeated Divine Favor. Without it, the York you see today would not exist!"

"Therefore, in York’s eyes, all glory belongs to the great Your Majesty!!!"

York’s face didn’t show an expression of pure sycophancy. Instead, it held the gravity of a true Knight responding to his Lord.

’Besides, so what if York was kissing the "dragon’s" ass?’

’Lince quite enjoyed hearing it.’

’See? This is what a smart person looks like! His words are so satisfying to hear.’

Lince chuckled to himself, then after considering his words, he said:

"My servant, you need not belittle yourself, nor should you attribute every positive change to the favor of Deities."

"My servant, you must understand that even if Divine Favor is a trivial matter to Deities, it is not bestowed upon just any mortal."

"At least, that is the case for the favor I grant."

"For I only grant my Divine Favor to those who are prepared and hardworking. And you, my servant, happen to be just such a mortal, one worthy of my attention, and even my favor."

"You see, didn’t you do very well that ti, sixty days ago? That is one of the reasons I favor you."

Lince’s tone was extrely gentle, even carrying a high degree of praise.

To have his efforts acknowledged by his ’Lord’ and ’Deity’ was undoubtedly the highest reward for a noble Knight.

York instantly understood. The rciful Your Majesty truly knew everything that had happened this past year.

Therefore, he imdiately stood up straight, excited but not without decorum, and declared loudly to Lince:

"Thank you for your acknowledgnt, Your Majesty!"

"Everything is for Your Majesty’s glory! Everything is to practice the way of the Knight!"

"Knight York, of the Smith family Bloodline in the Swamp Territory, will forever serve by Your Majesty’s side and clear all obstacles for Your Majesty’s Divine Descent upon this world!"

York was certain his words ca from the heart, and he even felt they were perfectly reasonable and appropriate.

However, Lince was suddenly taken aback.

’The first two sentences sounded great, but what the hell was that last one?’

’Clear the obstacles for my Divine Descent upon this world?’

’This guy, York... have he and his wife completely misunderstood sothing?!’

’Should I deny their vague assumptions? Or just roll with the misunderstanding?’

Well, after a mont’s thought, Lince ultimately chose to let it be.

Because Lince realized that their assumptions, and his playing along with them, might not be a bad thing for him after all.
