"Lok Vah Koor!"

Laine, holding the Holy Dragon’s Jaw, shouted this in Dragon Language.

This was a piece of Dragon Language Magic he had just learned from the Great Elder Khabazan—Purifying Heaven.

Laine’s roar was like thunder, piercing through the thick fog and snowstorm ahead.

The millennia-old blizzard surrounding Skalaste Peak subsided in an instant.

"It’s done! Although our species’ Dragon Priest also understands Dragon Language Magic, their ’Purifying Heaven’ effect is too weak, only lasting about ten seconds, unlike you who can directly calm the blizzard. As expected, only those recognized by the Holy Dragon King can unleash the full power of Purifying Heaven in Dragon Language."

The Great Elder Khabazan’s eyes held a barely noticeable fervor. He spoke these words fluently in Common Language.

Laine scratched his head: "Shall we move on? Actually, I think I can do it alone..."

"No, we must visit the ruins of our ancestors, and also protect you, the Child of Prophecy."

Khabazan said in a deep voice, "Not only do we Dragon People reside here, but also the detestable Crow People marauders from Cold Swan Peak. The blizzard has cald, and the Crow People from Cold Swan Peak will surely notice the anomaly."

Laine responded with a sound of acknowledgnt.

The group continued forward, the mountain path long gone, nothing but ice and snow-covered cliffs.

Fortunately, Laine and his companions were strong, and the Holy Dragon’s Jaw, activated through Ancient Dragon Language, temporarily nullified the obscure gravity enveloping Skalaste Peak, allowing them to climb smoothly.

After an indeterminable ti, the group reached the summit of Skalaste, the true pinnacle of the world.

In front of them was a circular cliff, completely covered in snow and solid ice.

The Great Elder Khabazan imdiately ordered the Dragon People Warriors, each holding weapons, to shovel away the ice and snow.

However, as their blades and weapons struck the ice and snow, a tallic vibration echoed back as if repelled! A barrier of power enveloped this circular cliff.

At this mont, the Holy Dragon’s Jaw in Laine’s hand emitted a dazzling radiance,

Laine tried lifting the Holy Dragon’s Jaw, walking to the side of the Dragon Ring Cliff. The light shone on the cliff, causing the ice and snow to crackle with fine fissures.

So Dragon People Warriors, witnessing this scene, beca excited, kneeling in reverence, their eyes filled with admiration and respect for Laine.

"Get up! Stay alert!"

Khabazan shouted, "This is the relic of our ancestors! We must protect it, be wary of those greedy Crow People!"

Soon, the ice and snow lted away, revealing the true face of the Dragon Ring Cliff.

It was a massive dragon-shaped relief, lifelike, as if a real Giant Dragon’s skeleton was coiled here.

The place illuminated was directly below the dragon’s head, a distinct indentation at the Giant Dragon’s jaw.

"This indentation looks familiar." Laine compared it with the Holy Dragon’s Jaw in his hand and found they matched in size and shape.

The Great Elder Khabazan walked to Laine’s side.

"Alright, now embed the Holy Dragon’s Jaw in the indentation, and it’ll be done. Hurry, what are you waiting for?"

Laine scratched his head: "I think accepting the legacy is kind of personal. How about you all step aside?"

Khabazan’s lizard-like mouth curved into a wicked Dragon King smile.

"Alright, now you’ve outlived your usefulness. Human, thank you for bringing the Holy Dragon’s Jaw back to the world’s pinnacle. Ha!"

Khabazan raised his finger sharply, chanting a spell aloud.

Laine clutched his stomach, falling to the ground suddenly.

"What... what did you do?"

"Do you rember the bowl of Holy Water you drank?"

Khabazan sneered, "That bowl of Holy Water did indeed have the power to awaken your potential, helping you quickly master Dragon Language Magic. However, the gift of fate cos with a price marked in secret. The cost you pay is the temporary loss of power under my Curse Magic!"

"Soldiers! Bind this human!"

A group of Dragon People Warriors ford a circle around him.

However, the Dragon People Warriors weren’t of one mind. A Dragon People General hesitated and said, "Great Elder, is it really appropriate to treat the Child of Prophecy like this?"

"You’re confused, Ikhvanis. The Child of Prophecy, the ancient tales, they’re all just fairy tales woven by the ancestors. As long as I hold the Holy Dragon’s Jaw, I am the Child of Prophecy! Am I not more qualified than a human?"

Khabazan leaned down, attempting to take the Holy Dragon’s Jaw from Laine’s grasp.

Suddenly, Laine’s half-squinted eyes shot wide open, releasing an imnse tidal wave of Blood Sea Fighting Qi!

The war axe in Laine’s hand slashed through the air with a sharp arc, aiming directly at Khabazan’s withered neck.

Faced with this sudden turn of events, soone with less strength would certainly be dood, given the complete lack of defense.

However, Khabazan’s strength was not weak; he was a Level 10 Enhanced Warrior, with the racial talent boost of half-Dragon blood, his power rivaling that of an Advanced Lord.

The instant Laine’s axe struck, the scales on Khabazan’s neck seed to co alive, suddenly swelling and thickening, resembling bloated maggots.

With a squelch, the sharp axe embedded into the flesh, and the inflated scales burst.

Each explosive scale produced a strong shockwave, weakening the Fighting Qi imbued in Laine’s war axe, while simultaneously pushing Khabazan to the side.

Khabazan’s body shot out like a cannonball, sent flying by Laine, crashing against the Giant Dragon relief on the Dragon Ring Cliff, and fell down in a sorry state.

Yet Laine felt a sinking feeling in his heart.

This strike felt like it had hit a bouncy ball, failing to cause effective damage before it bounced away.

Originally intending to heavily injure or even kill Khabazan with one strike, thereby possibly commanding the group of half-Dragons with the Holy Dragon’s Jaw.

Unexpectedly, Khabazan’s self-defense was so robust! Now it was troubleso, with things already falling apart, Laine doubted he could handle the combined assault of three teams of half-Dragon soldiers, three Dragon People Generals, and the Great Elder Khabazan all at once.

"You’re unhard? Impossible, I clearly added Aconite Poison to the Holy Water!" Khabazan exclaid in surprise.

"If you want to know, I can explain." Laine secretly crushed a Magic Conch.

Now he could only hope that his comrades from the Lorich Orthodox Camp would co rescue him, hoping they hadn’t gone too far.

"No need to stall, the priority is to kill you!" Khabazan shouted frantically, "Ikhvanis, attack!"

Suddenly, a conical ripple swept swiftly from the mountain pass.

This blue ripple enveloped Khabazan and the Dragon People Soldiers, pressing down heavily on everyone, drastically reducing their speed.
