A few days later.

The night was calm.

In the airport, twins, one boy and one girl, set foot inside.

Leo walked ahead, passing by a large group of crowds. Lia was right behind him, and his hand was slightly extended, as if protecting her.

Before they continued, he looked at Lia, his voice solemn.

"Rember, Lia. Don’t do anything unless I tell you."

Lia nodded solemnly. "Mhm."

Leo stared at her for a mont, then chuckled. He put his hand over her hair, ruffling it.

"We’ll find teacher and we’ll ask him why he left..."

"..."

Lia nodded mutely, her gaze resolute.

Seeing her determination, Leo didn’t hesitate anymore.

He held her wrist softly, leading her away.

They walked for a while, then suddenly stopped.

Leo glanced in a direction, seeing a security guard.

He used his skill and received an answer imdiately.

’In 7 seconds, the security guard will look away.’

Leo counted in his mind silently.

Seven seconds passed, and the security guard did look elsewhere, distracted by the TV screen hanging on the walls.

Leo quickly grabbed Lia’s wrist, making a mad dash. Lia winced in pain but didn’t say anything. For this escape to succeed, Lia used her ability to remove the sound of their footsteps.

Leo had initially wanted Lia to remove their presence instead, but the spiritual consumption was too high, and the ti limit was too short. He settled for just decreasing their presence by removing their footsteps.

Leading his sister away, Leo scanned in front of him, looking for a certain entrance.

There were two kinds of entrances in the airport, one for passengers and the other for cargo. But the entrance to where the cargo was located was usually hidden, only known by the staff.

However, in terms of knowing about the unknown, Leo was the best.

He quietly asked in his mind.

’Where’s the cargo entrance in the airport?’

Instantly, his spiritual energy was depleted, and he received an answer.

"Left, up, right, left... keep walking."

Leo muttered, then took a deep breath right after. Lia stood behind him nervously, clutching his uniform.

After a brief pause, the two of them followed the exact directions.

And soon, they saw the cargo entrance.

The problem was that there were so many staff mbers in the area, making it almost impossible to go through stealthily without getting caught.

Leo bit his lip, grabbing Lia as the two of them quickly hid in a blind spot.

"... Ah, I want a smoke..."

"... Focus, dude... you know..."

"... Yeah, yeah, but why did the higher..."

Countless airport staff passed by them, talking to each other.

But since the two of them were hidden in a blind spot, they weren’t spotted by any of the staff.

Leo lowered his gaze and began asking his mind.

He would take this one at a ti.

Then, almost imdiately, he got an answer.

’10 seconds.’

Leo lowered his gaze and began counting in his mind.

’... 1, 2, 3, 4...’

When he counted to ten, he imdiately stood up, dragging Lia with him.

’Now!’

But at that mont, a staff mber suddenly shifted their gaze.

Woosh!

"Huh?"

They looked at a certain area... and saw nothing.

For a mont, they thought they saw two children...

The staff mber sighed, amused by their own imagination.

But perhaps it was just their fatigue getting to them.

Behind the wall, Leo and Lia’s hearts raced nervously, holding each other’s hands to calm down.

That was only the first hurdle.

To cross this entire area swarming with the airport’s staff, Leo would have to expend his skill more than he ever had.

’I can do it.’

He bit his lip and let go of any doubts, trusting his talent completely.

He scanned the entire area and ford a question.

Just like the first one, he received an answer imdiately.

’13 seconds.’

Then, once the marked ti arrived, he rolled over with Lia, arriving at another blind spot.

The two of them continued this until they reached the entrance.

Their figures disappeared into the blind spots, avoiding the staff’s notice.

’19 tis.’

Leo counted in his mind the number of tis he used his talent.

By now, his spiritual energy was mostly depleted, and he only had a few more uses left.

Thankfully, they crossed the hardest part.

Once a pair of staff entered through the door, Leo and Lia stood up and walked ahead, hiding behind the two staff mbers.

Then, Leo dragged Lia away, causing her to wince in pain.

But Leo couldn’t afford to slow down right now.

The cargo area was an open space, and there were barely any places to hide.

The two staff mbers didn’t seem to notice anything.

Leo sighed in relief, then began scanning the area.

’We need to go to a cargo that’s going to Nihono. The cargo also needs to be safe and able to fit both of us...’

Making a list of requirents, he asked in his mind.

An answer quickly flashed in his mind, but his spiritual energy was instantly depleted.

His estimated few uses were actually used up by that one question.

His brain burned, and blood trickled down his nose. His gaze turned blurry, as if he was going to collapse. But Leo snapped his eyes wide open, biting his lips to keep himself awake.

’No! I can’t stop here!’

Forcing through his spiritual drain, Leo gritted his teeth and grabbed Lia, going to the left where a large cargo container was located.

As soon as they arrived, Leo climbed onto the cargo and reached out for Lia. Perhaps it was because the spiritual drain was affecting his mind, but he didn’t notice that there was staff near them.

At this crucial mont, Leo’s vision slipped, and his body stumbled forward...

Woosh!

The staff mber seed to have noticed sothing strange and turned around.

"Is that..."

He squinted in shock.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief. But when he opened his eyes again, nothing was there.

For a split second, he thought he saw two kids climbing on the cargo.

’Must be the full shift getting to ...’

’Kids hiding in a cargo? What is this, a movie? Haa...’

Brushing it aside, the staff mber shook his head and walked away.

But inside the cargo, Leo and Lia sighed in relief, securing their escape.

"Finally..."

As soon as he confird they were safe, Leo slumped against Lia’s shoulder, his consciousness slipping away. His repeated use of his talent had strained his brain, causing him to make a mistake at the last mont.

Leo looked at Lia with a grateful expression, hugging her tightly.

"Thank you..."

At the last mont, his dizziness made him fall from the cargo, almost ruining their hard work.

However, Lia had caught him and realized their situation. She overca her fear and nervousness, climbing onto the cargo and dragging their bodies with her superior strength. She quickly closed it before the staff could notice anything.

Lia fell silent, nodding quietly. Ever since their teacher had disappeared, it was as if she were back to her weak and useless self. If she weren’t so useless, then maybe Leo wouldn’t have to be so exhausted every ti.

Maybe that’s why he left them, because of her.

’I’m sorry... teacher... please co back...’

She lowered her gaze.

Overwheld by fear and nervousness, Lia slumped against Leo’s head. She held his hand, then closed her eyes, feeling emotionally exhausted.

The two fell asleep in the corner, hidden by a large piece of equipnt.

Ti passed, and a few hours later, Leo suddenly woke up when he heard noises in the cargo. He could hear two different voices echoing near them, conversing casually.

’... People... talking?’

His eyes widened, startled.

"Do you think it’s real?" a raspy voice echoed in the cargo.

Then, a deep voice asked back, "The Demon God Sword?"

Leo’s eyes widened in disbelief. His heart raced, confirming that there were indeed two people who had entered the cargo while they were asleep.

’Who... when... and how?!’

But he knew that panicking would only expose their position.

Considering their situation, they absolutely could not be exposed. Moreover, the fact that they were also sneaking inside the cargo ant they definitely weren’t up to any good.

Leo gritted his teeth and leaned forward, seeing the appearances of the other two people in the cargo.

One was a blonde-haired middle-aged man with pale white skin, speaking in a raspy voice.

"Yeah..."

The other was a white-haired man with scruffy white facial hair. His eyes were sharp, yet also possessed wisdom that only people who had lived through hell had. He spoke in a deep voice.

"There was proof, wasn’t there? But even if it’s not real, there’s one thing that’s absolutely true... Nihono has the most demonic armants at present."

A few days ago, soone posted on the dark web information about a demonic armant.

After more than a week had passed, most people knew about the existence of demonic armants, yet they were still incredibly rare, and only top forces were able to get ahold of them.

But on the dark web, a user who went by Murakashi suddenly posted about a demonic armant in Nihono.

He called it the Demon God Sword, a red sword capable of pulverizing entire landscapes with just a strike.

But nobody would believe it without proof.

Knowing this, Murakashi added proof.

In a video, a long white-haired man with crimson red eyes wielded a red blade. With one strike, he annihilated an entire horde of monsters with ease and even destroyed a small part of the forest.

Besides that, the mysterious Murakashi also added so information:

’Nihono has a history of owning many legendary swords and weapons of war. Right now, they have the most demonic armants in the world. So of them are extrely powerful as well.’

Murakashi seed afraid that no one would be tempted.

It almost felt like a trap, and yet...

"It’s a bait we have to bite," the blonde-haired man muttered. "Not just us—probably all of the rogue awakeners in the world are also coming..."

"Nihono is going to be ssy." The white-haired man smiled slightly. "Demonic spirits, demonic armants, rogue awakeners... It’s like the apocalypse is targeting Nihono or sothing."

"Unlucky for them," the blonde-haired man mused. "But don’t they have demon hunters there? Aren’t they powerful?"

"Who knows?" The white-haired man shook his head. "But even if they are, can they withstand the strongest rogue awakeners throughout the world? Heh..."
