"Our cultivation levels aren’t high. We wouldn't be able to protect your safety. You’d best find another group to accompany you."
When the group of won heard Ling Xi say this, they assud she was just jealous.
Ling Xi took a completely different route from them—soft and cute—whereas their group was full of bold, and commanding queen-like won.
The woman at the front curled her red lips into a smile and looked at Ling Xi with amusent. "Little sister, don’t be so hot-tempered. Girls should be gentle, you know, n tend to like sweet-tempered won."
Ling Xi glanced uncertainly at Zhang Nu and the others. She had asked them to let her join, and if they abandoned her now, she wouldn’t know what to do.
Zhang Nu, seeing Ling Xi like this, imdiately pulled her behind him. "I don’t think that’s a fair generalization. Not all n like gentle won. Even if they did, what does that have to do with you?"
The lead woman’s expression twisted with anger.
They had always relied on their beauty to seduce countless n, many of whom had ended up as nothing more than corpses under their feet. But now, in front of Zhang Nu and his group, that very beauty seed to have lost its power.
"You, man—can’t you see what we’re good for? We’re so beautiful, and you’re completely indifferent?"
Zhang Nu let out a snort of laughter.
Beautiful? These won were just dressed provocatively. True beauty was either soone like Ling Xi or a dignified noblewoman. These won looked more like brothel girls. How could they call themselves beautiful?
"People ought to have a bit of self-awareness. With how you look, who would like you?"
"And those outfits… anyone who didn’t know better would think you were working in a brothel."
The mont Lin Xiao said this, Zhang Nu couldn’t help laughing. He hadn’t expected Lin Xiao to be so sharp-tongued. He’d always thought Lin Xiao was the quiet, reserved type.
The group of won, upon hearing Lin Xiao’s words, looked like they wanted to rip him to pieces.
"Didn’t expect you to be so foul-mouthed," one of them snapped. "I’d suggest you apologize quickly or there will be consequences."
Lin Xiao rely glanced at them silently, making it clear he had no intention of apologizing.
The won looked like they were about to explode, fists clenched, and teeth grinding.
Even Zhang Nu and the others thought Lin Xiao had gone a little too far. Sure, everything he said was true, but it wasn’t sothing he should’ve said aloud in front of a group of won—they had their pride, after all.
"Lin Xiao, co on. They’re still girls. You should give them a little leeway."
The group of won nodded approvingly at Zhang Nu’s words.
"But even if they’re like that, you didn’t need to say it outright. Let them save so face," he added.
Originally, the won had thought Zhang Nu was a decent guy who’d stood up for them, but hearing his last remark made the corners of their mouths twitch.
It was now painfully obvious that none of these people were easy to deal with. Since that was the case, there was no point pretending anymore. They’d just kill this group and be done with it.
"You really want to keep arguing with us?"
“I’m telling you—the last guy who talked like that to us is already six feet under. If you know what’s good for you, apologize. Now."
Zhang Nu and the others completely ignored them, clearly preparing to walk away.
But how could those won possibly let them leave so easily?
"Are you really ignoring our words?"
The lead woman reached out to block them, but Zhang Nu slapped her hand away without hesitation.
"You’re the ones throwing yourselves at the muzzle of the gun. Why are you acting like we’re the ones insulting you?"
"Don’t forget, you’re the ones who started this. What does that have to do with us? Just a bunch of self-entitled clowns, dancing up and down for attention."
Hearing such outrageous words, the won couldn’t hold back any longer. They were ready to teach Zhang Nu a harsh lesson.
