As Chen Mo took out the task compass, with a slight movent of his thought, the needle on the task compass started to rotate, leading him toward the center of the Second Region.

The Second Region comprised a total of ten areas, each with a different difficulty level.

Excluding the centermost area, for the other nine, the deeper he ventured into each subsequent area, the stronger the enemies beca.

Chen Mo was currently in the outermost area block, where the monsters were not particularly strong.

The compass needle seed to be directing Chen Mo towards the second tier of the Second Region.

Since he could only use the task compass once a day, Chen Mo naturally did not want to waste the opportunity. Even though the Second Region was more dangerous, he still headed in that direction.

anwhile, he summoned nurous Ghosts to scout the nearby area, thus increasing his safety.

With his subordinate Ghosts scouting ahead, Chen Mo spotted quite a few monsters along the way.

These monsters were indeed quite formidable.

Even the weakest among them had a Divine Power of 100 points and possessed comndable divine elent intensity.

If any weak individuals from the First Region unknowingly entered the Second Region and encountered these monsters, they would most likely die at the hands of these creatures unless they quickly fled.

However, the First Region did provide people with opportunities for training. If one were to rush into the Second Region without adequate strength, seeking death, then Heavenly Dao could hardly be blad for not offering a path to survival.

With the help of his Ghost scouts, Chen Mo managed to avoid all the monsters en route, soon arriving at the location indicated by the task compass.

This place was not yet the second sub-region of the Second Region; it was still on the edge of the first, outermost sub-region.

Chen Mo saw a village here.

The village did not look very large, consisting of only about ten households. There were not even any fences or walls surrounding it, leaving it completely exposed, as if entirely unafraid of potential monster attacks.

If each area block in the First Region was a special world, then the Second Region was a single, complete world inhabited by native residents and various monsters.

As Chen Mo approached, he saw two blue-skinned n, who looked vastly different from people from Earth, seated opposite each other in a pavilion at the village entrance, engrossed in a ga.

As Chen Mo neared, the two n looked over at him.

"Greetings to you both. My na is Chen Mo, a traveler from a distant land. Might I ask what place this is?" Chen Mo greeted them first.

Although Chen Mo spoke in his own language, based on past experiences, Heavenly Dao should provide a translation.

Sure enough, the other party directly understood Chen Mo’s words.

"Welco, Destined Person."

Chen Mo had introduced himself as a traveler, but to his surprise, they responded with the term "Destined Person."

"Destined Person?" Chen Mo asked curiously. "What kind of status is that?"

"A Destined Person who doesn’t know his own status?" Chen Mo’s counter-question seed to pique the two blue-skinned n’s curiosity.

Chen Mo smiled and shook his head. "I have not heard of it. Would you be kind enough to enlighten ?"

"Co, let’s sit down in the pavilion first and chat at leisure."

Seeing Chen Mo standing outside the pavilion, the two blue-skinned n cordially invited him inside to sit with them.

After Chen Mo took his seat, he glanced at the ga on their table. To his surprise, they were using familiar black and white pieces. He wondered if they were playing Go, Five-in-a-Row, Reversi, or perhaps so other ga entirely unknown to him.

Once Chen Mo was seated, one of the n poured him a cup of tea and said, "Since you, honored Destined Person, do not understand the term, we shall explain it to you."

Chen Mo nodded. "I’m all ears."

"Destined People," one of them began, "are a special group whom Heavenly Dao inford us would descend upon this world to help us resist the beastly calamity. They have varied appearances and hail from nurous unknown worlds. The one constant, however, is that all of you display a corresponding Destined Person number."

"A Destined Person number?" Chen Mo asked, astonished. "Where is it displayed?"

The two blue-skinned n imdiately pointed above Chen Mo’s head. "It is manifested by Heavenly Dao there. You cannot see it; only we, the native inhabitants of the World of Heavenly Elent, can."

"I see. No wonder you recognized my status as a Destined Person right away. However, this ’beastly calamity’ you ntioned—I suppose they are also a group of Beastly Intelligent Life, bearing numbers on their heads similar to ours?"

"Correct. They also bear specific numbers. However, your numbers begin with a 1, while theirs begin with a 0. The difference is clear at a glance."

"Do these Beastly Intelligent Life creatures slaughter you?"

"Yes. The mont they see us, they slaughter us without rcy. That is why we desperately need the help of Destined People like you to repel this terrible beastly calamity!"

Hearing this, Chen Mo couldn’t help but ask, "So, according to what you’re saying, do these Beastly Intelligent Life creatures also have their own territories?"

"Yes. In this World of Heavenly Elent, the north and south are the domains of humanoid intelligent life like us, while the east and west are the territories of the Beastly Intelligent Life. We are in a state of constant war. I have heard that the Beastly Intelligent Life will also have their own Destined People arrive among them. This battle seems truly endless."
