The spectacle was heart-wrenching. Helplessness and desperation intertwined as ordinary people beca innocent victims before the wicked Array, their cries and screams only highlighting the tragedy’s cruelty.
The red light at the Array’s center intensified, unleashing potent malevolent energies, like a demonic eye gazing over the entire city.
The sinister Array was ticulously designed to target the powerful Chen Mo. Using the life force of all the city’s inhabitants, the people of the Yongming Star System intended to kill Chen Mo in one fell swoop.
The Imperial City was shrouded by a blood-red light screen. People’s breathing grew labored, fear and despair spreading through their hearts.
They witnessed their compatriots falling one by one, their life force cruelly extracted, powerless to resist.
Within the Pri Minister’s Mansion, the Imperial Palace, and the Grand Marshal’s Mansion, everyone stared in aghast at the eerie blood-red glow before them.
Pri Minister Larseis roared in fury, "What is going on? Why is even my blood draining? Damn that Ruthless Legion! To think they’d plot against too!"
His brow was tightly furrowed, his heart filled with rage and resentnt.
He was the only one who knew that Randy’s enemy had set up an Array within the empire beforehand. This was why, when Randy had returned earlier, Larseis’s anger towards him had turned to delight. Randy had claid this Array was potent enough to annihilate the United Forces in a single blow. They had deliberately retreated to showcase the Array’s existence.
Now, however, the Array he had believed was ant for the United Forces was instead turned against him.
「In the Imperial Palace」
Emperor Cy and Queen Mother Nylia were also stunned. Their blood began to drain, as if drawn away by so invisible force.
Emperor Cy’s expression was grim, a resolute glint in his eyes. "Who dares to employ such wicked dark magic in my Imperial City?!"
Queen Mother Nylia, in contrast, was unfazed. A practitioner of Demon Art herself, she used the resentnt stirred by the Array to further her cultivation rather than being affected by this unexpected turn of events.
「Inside the Grand Marshal’s Mansion」
Grand Marshal Erice flew out in a rage, her eyes blazing. "Dammit! Who dares to use such vile, dark magic in the Imperial City!"
It wasn’t long before she located the core of the Array activated within the Imperial City and imdiately rushed over.
Just as she arrived, Chen Mo also reached the location.
After exchanging a glance, both their gazes shifted towards the Ruthless Legion’s Mansion.
By then, Randy’s enemy had already fully activated the Array.
The Array, having absorbed the life force of everyone in the city, now possessed terrifying power.
But that was not its limit. Randy’s enemy then produced several cursed tools and placed them into the Array.
Instantly, boundless darkness enveloped the entire Imperial City.
Both Grand Marshal Erice and Chen Mo were plunged into absolute darkness, unable to see a thing.
This ti, Chen Mo’s blindness was absolute; he could see nothing, not even by sensing his surroundings or using his Unity ability with his Skeleton Monster.
Realizing this, Chen Mo imdiately attempted to shift into the Void Realm.
However, he then received a Heavenly Path Hint:
[The Heavenly Path’s Hint: Warning! You have entered the Eternal Night Evil-Gathering Array. While within its influence, you will lose all ability to obtain information about your surroundings.]
The mont Chen Mo was engulfed by darkness, WHOOSH! Ten figures leaped from the ground, brandishing daggers as they lunged toward him.
They were the ten assassins Larseis had dispatched, all possessing Instant Kill Attack capabilities.
Their attack speed was extre. In less than a second, their attacks struck Chen Mo.
Each attack was aid to trigger an Instant Kill.
Randy’s enemy had originally assud this wave of attacks would succeed in one fell swoop.
However, to his astonishnt, the ten Instant Kill Attacks had no effect on Chen Mo whatsoever.
"Immune to Instant Kill Attacks?! Spread the word, quickly!"
Even with assassins right before him, Randy’s enemy didn’t forget to transmit this information.
The instant the ten assassins struck Chen Mo, the surrounding space froze—the effect of the Space-Ti Pearl.
However, the people of the Yongming Star System were unaffected, evidently prepared in advance.
As the Space-Ti Pearl activated, Chen Mo imdiately triggered the Invincible Lotus.
No matter how overpowered the enemy’s interference abilities were, they couldn’t overco the supre priority of the Invincible Lotus’s effect.
With the Invincible Lotus activated, Chen Mo felt a shocking surge of Rule Power course through his body.
In that mont, he felt truly indomitable, immune to all techniques.
The surrounding darkness vanished, and he could clearly see Randy’s enemy again.
Just as Chen Mo entered the Invincible State, Randy’s enemy was enveloped in red light and teleported away.
A Teleportation Array?!
Randy’s enemy knew Chen Mo had obtained the Invincible Lotus from Rangu before entering this instance. How could he have been unprepared for its power?
After entering the instance and disabling all professionals’ Teleport ability, they had planned to use a Teleportation Array to wait out the duration of Chen Mo’s Invincible State.
