Having successfully deciphered the Five Elents attributes of the three trigrams based on the knowledge acquired in today’s class, Chen Mo imdiately took a step onto the ’Qian’ trigram.

Upon hearing The Heavenly Path’s Hint, Chen Mo smiled. It seems my guess was correct! This level is much simpler than I anticipated, hardly a challenge at all.
Receiving the hint, Chen Mo carefully examined the stone slabs surrounding the ’Qian’ trigram.
The ’Qian’ trigram pertains to tal in the cycle of Five Elents, where tal generates Water, and Earth generates tal.
Any slab marked with Water or Earth should be safe to tread upon.
Chen Mo had just walked from the ’Kun’ trigram. The ’Qian’ trigram he now stood on was still at the edge of the map, adjacent to only three other slabs. After discounting the ’Kun’ trigram he had just connected from, he naturally only had two options left.
He scrutinized the two possible choices. Directly in front of the ’Qian’ trigram was a stone slab with the Kan trigram; he knew that tal generates Water, so it was obvious he should move forward.
As Chen Mo confidently took a step forward, The Heavenly Path’s Hint echoed again.

"It seems I’m right! It is indeed the generation sequence of the Five Elents."
Thoroughly confident that the pattern was correct, Chen Mo started to move more efficiently. As he continued to step on the slabs following the generation sequence, his effective step count rose steadily.
In just a little while, Chen Mo successfully completed the 50 steps.
The mont he completed the 50th step, Cha Latu suddenly raised his hand, and the entire floor of the room began to tremble. In the blink of an eye, Chen Mo, Cha Latu, and the entire floor ascended to the nineteenth level.
Cha Latu turned to Chen Mo with a smile and said, "The rules for this level are different." The mont he finished speaking, the stone tiles in the room, except for the one under Chen Mo’s feet, bizarrely floated into the air, rotated chaotically for a mont, then clattered back to the ground.

As The Heavenly Path’s Hint rang in Chen Mo’s ears, he imdiately examined the surrounding stone slabs.
The patterns on the slabs had not changed; they still bore the familiar eight trigram patterns.
However, Chen Mo soon realized that according to the generating concept of the Five Elents, none of the four surrounding slabs matched the one he currently stood on. Clearly, the rule of generation is no longer applicable. This saves the trouble of trial and error.
The rule has changed. If it’s not the Five Elents, what else could it be? Chen Mo began to recall the in-depth knowledge of trigrams that his teacher had imparted to him during class.
After so reflection, it occurred to Chen Mo that apart from each trigram corresponding to one of the Five Elents, they also corresponded to cardinal directions.
"Perhaps the rule has changed to depend on the directions?" Mumbling to himself, Chen Mo quickly surveyed the surrounding slabs.
He was currently standing on the ’Li’ trigram, which represented South.
Looking at the four slabs surrounding the ’Li’ trigram, there were the Zhen trigram of the East, the Kan trigram of the North, the ’Qian’ trigram of the Northwest, and the Xun trigram of the Southeast!
Among these four trigrams, only the Xun trigram, representing Southeast, is close to South; it could be considered imdiately adjacent. The other trigrams are two, or even three or four, directions away—clearly not close enough.
Based on this guess, Chen Mo moved towards the Xun trigram with a touch of apprehension.
As he settled on the slab, everything remained calm.

He sighed in relief, a joyful smile spreading across his face. My guess was correct after all!
He had made two mistakes at the beginning and was left with only 60% of his life value. Now, he could only afford two more mistakes. Being able to figure out the rule right away seed to be a stroke of luck.
After all, the connections between the eight trigrams involved more than just the Five Elents and directions. Chen Mo had to figure this out from pure guessing.
Once the rule for this level was clear, Chen Mo’s task beca straightforward again.
As long as the knowledge he gained in class was correct, he would not go astray.
As Chen Mo advanced at a brisk pace, The Heavenly Path’s Hints continued to prompt him.
Soon, Chen Mo completed another 50 steps.
Cha Latu raised his hand again, and this ti Chen Mo, along with the slab beneath his feet, ascended directly and rapidly into the twentieth level.
Cha Latu smiled at Chen Mo and said, "Well done, kid. This is the final level. I believe you can pass it, especially since you still have one chance to retry."
The mont he finished speaking, another round of clattering resonated through the room. All the slabs in the area, except the one under Chen Mo’s feet, once again WHOOSHED into the air and then clattered back onto the ground.

They actually gave a hint this ti, so I don’t have to figure out the rule myself? Adding up to seven... that must be related to numbers!
In addition to the Five Elents and cardinal directions, each trigram also corresponds to a number.
