After calculating the difficulty, Ye Feng took a deep breath and then asked Lord Gu Ao Duo in a serious tone, "I have a question. During the fight, am I allowed to use items to replenish my spiritual energy?"
This question was crucial. It was one thing to fight against a thousand enemies on his own, and Ye Feng felt he could handle an average of one enemy every 3.6 seconds, but this would only be possible if he could fight at full strength.
If, on top of that, he wasn’t allowed to consu any items to restore what was lost, Ye Feng truly felt that no one could pass such an assessnt.
After all, those were 1,000 enemies of the sa realm! Not to ntion anything else, the sheer attrition could wear you down to death.
"That is certainly allowed, but you can only use the items we specify," Gu Ao Duo answered directly without any ambiguity.
At the sa ti, its little wings fluttered, a formation on them flickered, and the ground began to shake again.
This ti, what erged wasn’t Rock Puppets, but rows upon rows of weapon racks—with all kinds of weapons ranging from swords and spears to sabers and halberds, even including various Saber Tools, and all types of armor were present.
On the top shelf of the weapon racks, there were also various strange flowers and rare fruits.
These strange flowers and rare fruits could restore spiritual energy, spiritual power, and were even used for healing injuries.
"You may freely select any of these pieces of equipnt and Spirit Fruits without limitation, but you are only permitted to use these items here," Gu Ao Duo said.
"If you use any weapons you brought yourself or any other items, it will lead to imdiate disqualification from the assessnt," Gu Ao Duo inford him.
After all, the core mbers’ assessnt was designed to test their maximum combat power during real combat situations.
And since it involved real combat, having various weapons, armor, and restoration items was only logical to better emulate an actual battle situation.
Ye Feng glanced over the items and breathed a sigh of relief. Nodding, he said, "Alright, I have no more questions."
"I’ll ask you one last ti, do you want to start the assessnt now? You should be aware that the mbers who typically take part in these assessnts should at least have reached the First Order Peak."
"Otherwise, every enemy you face will be of higher realm than you, which would be too great a disadvantage," Gu Ao Duo reminded him.
"No need for that, being invincible within my realm is not my pursuit—overcoming higher realms is. If I can’t beco the strongest in this era, how could I possibly travel the Ancient Cosmic Path and reach the Big Universe?" Ye Feng said calmly.
Lord Gu Ao Duo seed to agree with this statent, nodding and saying, "Alright, go prepare then!"
After speaking to Ye Feng, it flew up into the sky and activated the valley’s Formation.
Suddenly, the entire valley was enveloped by an invisible barrier, and at the sa ti, a creature made of light appeared in the sky.
However, unlike Gu Ao Duo, this one looked more humanoid, though it had a pointed horn on its head.
"Churchill, this is the prodigy I have found. Begin the core mber assessnt now," Gu Ao Duo said loudly.
"Yes, Lord Gu Ao Duo," a sowhat chanical voice responded.
Then the Formation Spirit nad Churchill turned its gaze towards Ye Feng, and a pale blue light swept back and forth over him.
At that mont, Ye Feng’s gaze was fixed on it. The Formation Spirit’s expression seed rather stiff, or perhaps it was simply a chanical program. The Formation Spirit that Gu Ao Duo ntioned needed to be deceived was likely this one.
Therefore, Ye Feng was feeling slightly nervous; he wasn’t entirely sure if it could detect his World Tree Avatar.
But evidently, Gu Ao Duo’s guess was correct. Within monts, the probing light vanished, and the chanical voice announced,
"Verification passed. Assessee Ye Feng, realm Early Stage First Order, ets the assessnt criteria."
"The assessnt will begin in three minutes. Please prepare for the assessnt," the voice concluded.
Upon hearing this, Ye Feng quickly made his way to the weapon racks.
Looking at the array of weapons, he was sowhat at a loss.
Honestly speaking, Ye Feng was not skilled with any weapons. When the World Tree Body battled before, its roots served as his weapon, and his fighting style was straightforward and brutal—simply lashing out with the roots.
But what now? Should he pick a whip?
While this would resemble his attack thod, how could a whip compare to tree roots?
His roots were an extension of his body, like limbs, allowing him to attack however he pleased.
But a whip was different; mastering it would require practice.
So, after only a second’s hesitation, he dismissed this idea and moved his gaze from one weapon to the next.
Not knowing how to properly use weapons ant that the choice of weapon didn’t make much difference to him.
Therefore, without considering those factors, he had only two requirents when selecting a weapon.
First, it had to be easy to handle—preferably such that he could unleash its power without needing much practice, otherwise he might as well use his fists.
Second, it had to cause sufficient damage to the Rock Puppets.
Keep in mind, Rock Puppets had no vital points; even if you shattered their heads, they wouldn’t be killed.
They had to be smashed into pieces before one could consider them defeated.
In such circumstances, weapons that relied on piercing power, like spears, were clearly impractical.
