Aldany had completed all the preparations for his rebellion through lies and deceit. However, he didn't take imdiate action. He was waiting for his allies to finish their preparations.
For this operation, he had not only allied with the Desert Goblins but had also forged a relationship with the Beast Master from the Ancient Academy, who had only just arrived at the Atacama Desert.
It was only after reaching an agreent with Aldany that Andrew had headed to the Desert Goblin's lair.
At that mont, Andrew and his companions were hurrying toward Serpent's Eye Lake Oasis at their fastest pace. Along the way, Andrew continuously boasted about his sches.
"Although my strength isn't as powerful as those geniuses, I'm smarter than they are. Relying solely on individual strength won't improve one's power quickly. Only through cooperation with others can one's strength grow rapidly."
He was already imagining the imnse spoils he would gain once their mission succeeded.
"The Serpent Empire's treasury must contain many treasures. If we can obtain just one or two items, our strength will increase significantly."
Andrew's companion listened carefully to his words. Although he didn't believe Andrew's plan would succeed easily, he didn't voice any objections. He simply followed Andrew's lead silently.
Soon enough, the two reached the vicinity of Serpent's Eye Lake Oasis.
"In less than half an hour, we'll be able to enter Serpent's Eye Lake Oasis! After that, our plan can begin imdiately." Andrew said with a smile.
His companion, however, was slightly puzzled.
"But didn't the Desert Goblin Queen say to give her three days? Wouldn't it be better to wait for those three days before acting?"
"There's no need at all! The cooperation with the Desert Goblins is just an insurance for our plan. We can take control of the Serpent Empire by working with the traitors inside!"
Just as Andrew finished speaking, a voice from nearby rang out, dripping with sarcasm.
"With such low intelligence, playing at sches is utterly laughable!"
Upon hearing those words, Andrew's face twisted with extre anger. He turned toward the source of the voice and yelled, "Who said that?! Are you too cowardly to own up to your words?! What right does a coward hiding in the shadows have to criticize ?!"
Although he appeared furious on the surface, in reality, he was carefully observing his surroundings.
"Who said I was deliberately avoiding you? I've been right in front of you all along; it's just that you can't see ." The mocking voice ca again.
At the sa ti, Andrew sensed the presence of a shadow not far in front of him.
His expression quickly shifted from anger to joy.
"You dare to show yourself? Good! Now, let show you the power of a Level 4 Beast Master!"
Andrew imdiately decided to attack the direction where he felt the shadow. He commanded his three mystical beasts to unleash their most powerful attacks.
However, when the three mystical beasts reached their designated spot in the air, they didn't attack. Instead, they kept hovering around, seemingly confused.
They hadn't detected any enemies.
The behavior of the mystical beasts made Andrew furious.
"What are you doing?! Attack now!"
His companion, witnessing this, started to feel a bit concerned. He pulled away from Andrew and secretly commanded his own mystical beast to scout the surroundings.
"Your own companion has already realized you're in danger. Your intelligence is even lower than his." The mocking voice ca again.
Andrew instinctively glanced toward his companion. Sure enough, his companion had distanced himself from him.
"Why are you so far from ?" Andrew angrily asked.
"I'm not deliberately distancing myself from you. I'm just trying to scout a wider area," his companion quickly responded.
Such an answer seed to satisfy Andrew.
Moreover, Andrew knew he couldn't afford to clash with his companion. The person who had been mocking him hadn't shown themselves yet, which ant that their strength might not be inferior to his.
So, he needed his companion's help in the upcoming battle.
Having thought this through, Andrew looked around.
"Who exactly are you? Let tell you, my real identity is that of a Level 4 Beast Master from the Ancient Academy. You've probably heard of the Ancient Academy's great na, right? Soone like you is absolutely unqualified to provoke the Ancient Academy. And I am a Level 4 Beast Master! The power I possess, and the strength of my mystical beasts, are beyond your imagination!"
Andrew shouted loudly, seemingly trying to bolster his own courage.
"Is that so? Then let test your strength," the mocking voice ca again.
At the sa ti, a cold storm suddenly descended from the sky.
Andrew and his companion failed to dodge in ti. The mystical beasts they controlled were both severely injured in this attack.
Seeing this, Andrew's companion quickly made a decision. He realized they could no longer stay here. So, he commanded his mystical beast and began fleeing.
Andrew was furious when he saw this.
"You coward! I should never have tead up with you!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than his fleeing companion suddenly stopped.
Andrew thought that his companion had had a change of heart. He quickly shouted, "Co back! Together, we can face any danger!"
However, his companion still didn't move.
Sothing didn't feel right. Andrew watched as his companion slowly collapsed.
His companion had been killed.
The sudden death of his ally plunged Andrew into deep fear.
He gathered all his mystical beasts around him.
"Who are you? I have no enmity with you! Why are you targeting ?"
"Weren't you all tough earlier? Why are you begging now?" The mocking voice ca again.
When Andrew looked in the direction of the voice, he saw a very familiar figure. It was Charles.
Charles had finally revealed himself.
He walked up to Andrew, smiling, and said, "I've certainly heard of the great na of the Ancient Academy, but I'm not sure how strong a Level 4 Beast Master really is. You should have attacked directly; then I'd have the chance to see for myself just how strong a Level 4 Beast Master really is."
Charles' words completely shattered Andrew's ntal state.
Andrew realized there was absolutely no way he could threaten Charles.
If he dared to attack Charles, his fate would be just like that of his companion.
Fear spread across Andrew's face. He imdiately dropped to his knees before Charles.
"Please spare ! I never ant to target you! If I had known it was you mocking all this ti, I would never have responded."
Andrew begged with trembling voice.
At this mont, Charles smiled down at him, looking at him like a clown.
Andrew's performance truly resembled that of a clown.
"You don't intend to target ? Then what is your purpose for being here? Didn't you already form an alliance with the Desert Goblins? If I'm not mistaken, you seem to be planning to attack Serpent's Eye Lake Oasis soon, right?"
Charles's words shocked Andrew greatly. No matter how much he thought about it, he couldn't understand how Charles knew such precise information.
However, in this situation, he couldn't afford to think about it too much. To ensure he wouldn't be killed by Charles on the spot, he could only quickly reveal all his plans.
Although Andrew didn't ntion Aldany during his explanation, Charles could deduce that Aldany was Andrew's ally within the Serpent Empire.
"I really didn't intend to target you. I only wanted to take this opportunity to acquire treasures from the Serpent Empire's vault."
Andrew said this while crying and sniffling.
Charles's expression remained calm.
He genuinely believed what Andrew was saying. The other person couldn't possibly know he had co to the Atacama Desert, so it was clear that their plan wasn't aid at him right away. However, that didn't an Charles couldn't make use of their plan.
After thinking for a mont, Charles smiled and asked, "Do you really think your plan can succeed?"
Andrew was taken aback for a mont, but then quickly responded with a flattering grin.
"Don't worry! My plan will definitely succeed. And with your involvent, it will be foolproof. After the plan succeeds, the treasures in the Serpent Empire's vault will all be yours—I won't take a single one."
Charles nodded with a smile.
"Good! Continue with your plan as you've been doing. I'll provide support in the shadows and will only show myself when necessary."
With that, Charles vanished.
Andrew let out a long sigh of relief.
"Good thing I reacted quickly! Charles isn't as cold and ruthless as they say. He's not even coveting the treasures of the Serpent Empire!"
After muttering to himself, Andrew hurriedly looked around. He was very worried Charles might have overheard his words.
Once he confird that Charles was not nearby, he finally relaxed.
