In the forest near the small town, the sounds of battle echoed continuously.

Charles watched with satisfaction as Max, Mia, and Little Gold fought against the ethereal projections summoned by Mousie.

The hotel in the small town was very basic, with no dedicated training room. If Charles wanted to train his mystical beasts, he had no choice but to bring them to the nearby forest.

Charles didn't want Max and the others to work this hard every day, but there was no alternative. He had to find every possible way to increase their strength.

During this ti, Charles occasionally took out his phone, browsing through various pieces of information.

What he mostly looked at were updates regarding Celestial City and the Lnfinity Lsles forest. Everything was developing exactly as he had imagined. The anger of the countless ordinary citizens and Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths was sothing no one could easily withstand.

At this point, the officials in Celestial City were probably in complete chaos.

Thinking this, a subtle smile appeared at the corner of Charles's lips. He had known this would be the outco.

This could be considered a small gift from Charles to the officials in Celestial City, and he hoped they would appreciate it.

If the officials in Celestial City reacted quickly, they would probably release an official statent tonight or tomorrow morning, announcing that they would cooperate with the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters to explore the Lnfinity Lsles forest.

In reality, only a very small number of spots would be given to the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters, to make them fight for the opportunities and divert their attention.

Charles had already anticipated what would happen next. He had expected this outco.

There was no way around it; the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters were not united as one force. When a few spots were offered, so would believe they had a chance to secure one and would no longer want to keep resisting.

This would shift the conflict from the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters to the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters fighting among themselves for the spots.

The real issue was that there was no proper faction to step forward and lead the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters in continuing the fight for what rightfully belonged to them.

Factions like the Beast Master Guild, the Alchemist Guild, the Forging Masters Guild, and the academies or factions of various countries couldn't openly challenge the powerful forces of the Haunted Marsh.

The power gap was simply too vast, and there were still too few Level 9 Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths.

The Haunted Marsh was the core area of the entire Ethereal Grove, the place with the most geniuses and the strongest forces.

As Charles pondered these thoughts, he suddenly beca aware of a gaze quietly watching him.

Without hesitation, Charles activated his Divine Domain, enhancing his perception.

Soon, he pinpointed the source of the gaze.

Not far behind Charles, several Beast Masters with angry expressions were glaring at him intensely.

Charles imdiately called Max and the others to halt their training and co over to his side.

One of the Beast Masters spoke up,

"Are you the one who stirred up the crowd and caused chaos in the tavern?"

Upon hearing this, Charles imdiately realized that these people weren't here with good intentions. Their attitude was hostile, filled with anger, and it looked like they had co to cause trouble.

Charles calmly responded,

"I don't agree with your words. What do you an by stirring up the crowd and causing chaos?"

"You're Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh, right?"

The first speaker clearly froze for a mont, as though surprised that Charles had imdiately guessed their identities. Beside him, a fat man holding a massive hamr impatiently said,

"Enough, don't waste ti talking to him. Let's teach this guy a lesson. It's because of him that we lost a few spots."

"I could have gained a lot from this, but because of him, I lost everything!"

Charles couldn't help but want to laugh. What did they an by losing spots because of him? This was The Abyssal Depths!

Charles spoke directly,

"This is The Abyssal Depths, not the Haunted Marsh. Are you upset because you couldn't steal soone else's things and now feel like you've lost a lot?"

Those words imdiately made the faces of the Beast Masters twist with anger. The fat man holding the massive hamr, especially, was about to swing his hamr and charge at Charles.

Charles drew out his Black Gold Long Knife and silently watched the fat man approach.

Just then, another one of the group spoke up,

"Enough, Fatty. You're a Level 6 Beast Master, fighting him wouldn't be fair. Let Luke handle it."

The fat man holding the hamr paused, then, reluctantly, stepped back.

A young man, no older than twenty, stepped forward, holding a Supre Spear. He pointed the spear's tip at Charles and loudly declared,

"I'm Luke, a Level 5 Beast Master, just like you. Let teach you a lesson!"

Charles didn't feel like wasting words. Even if this was a genius Beast Master from the Haunted Marsh, a Level 5 Beast Master wasn't soone he'd worry about.

Even now, with only four mystical beasts contracted, Charles was confident that a single Level 5 Beast Master wouldn't be able to defeat him. A genius from the Haunted Marsh certainly wouldn't be able to either!

Without any hesitation, Charles swung his Black Gold Long Knife, and the four elental Black Gold Knife Glows slashed through the night like ghosts, heading rapidly toward the opponent!

Luke, the Level 5 Beast Master, suddenly changed his expression. Though he hadn't yet directly faced the Black Gold Knife Glow, he could vaguely sense the power contained within it.

Luke's face grew serious as he stared intently at the direction the Black Gold Knife Glow was coming from. He crossed his Supre Spear in front of his chest, trying to defend.

"Boom!"

A wave of air blasted around, sending clouds of dust into the air. Luke was forced to stumble backward for a solid three to four ters, his feet leaving deep gouges in the ground.

The onlookers were shocked. Although Luke was the lowest-level Beast Master among them, he shouldn't have been knocked back so easily by a Level 5 Beast Master from The Abyssal Depths.

Aren't The Abyssal Depths Beast Masters supposed to be weak?

The Beast Master fighting Luke seed completely different from the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters they had imagined!

As the others were taken aback, Charles's figure suddenly vanished from sight. He had used his Darkness Cloak to blend into the shadows, silently moving behind Luke, locking onto him with his Black Gold Long Knife.

Normally, an ordinary Beast Master would have no way of detecting Charles's movents, but these were all genius Beast Masters from the Haunted Marsh. The mont Charles disappeared, they imdiately sensed what Charles might do next.

Only Luke, who was still focused on the dust cloud that had risen earlier, failed to realize the danger that was rapidly approaching. He was fixated on the dust, as if worrying Charles would suddenly erge from the swirling cloud.

Unable to hold back any longer, the fat man who had initially planned to attack Charles grabbed his massive hamr, rushing toward Luke while shouting,

"Luke, watch your back!"

Without hesitation, Luke spun around to block, and the Black Gold Long Knife struck fiercely against his Supre Spear, the imnse force pressing him lower and lower.

It felt like a mountain had fallen on him. His legs buckled under the pressure, and eventually, he sank to his knees before Charles.

Charles sneered coldly but didn't speak. However, the look on his face seed to say, With this little strength, how could you even think of teaching a lesson?

Luke tried to resist, but he could only grit his teeth, struggling to hold his body up, refusing to collapse to the ground. He had seriously underestimated his opponent.

At that mont, the fat man holding the massive hamr had already arrived behind Charles. Without any hesitation, he swung the hamr down toward Charles's head.

Charles, who had already activated Divine Domain, would, of course, not miss this.

Just as the hamr was about to strike, Charles decisively abandoned his effort to keep pressing down on Luke. He suddenly accelerated, moving out of the fat man's attack range before the hamr could land on him.

The moonlight tonight was bright, and the wind was strong—perfect for using the Quick Travel skill.

Quick Travel: Increases speed and evasion, allowing the user to move or charge toward a target at incredible speed, as elusive as the wind. It quickly shifts positions during battle, dodging enemy attacks. The effectiveness of speed and evasion is enhanced by moonlight and natural wind. The stronger the moonlight, the greater the wind, the higher the increase!

Charles moved so fast that the fat man could barely react. After Charles left, the fat man was too late to pull his hamr back, and he could only watch as the hamr crashed down onto Luke, who couldn't dodge in ti.

"Bang!"

"Pfft!"

Luke spat out a mouthful of blood, which sprayed all over the fat man's face. Then, he collapsed to the ground, powerless.

At this point, Charles had already moved to a distance. Watching the scene unfold, he planted the Black Gold Long Knife into the ground and slowly raised both of his hands.

"Clap, clap, clap." The sound of applause echoed.

Charles smiled and said,

"As expected of a genius Beast Master from the Haunted Marsh, even your own teammates don't get spared from your ruthless attacks. It's a sha, though—your attack wasn't very powerful. You almost killed him."

The fat man imdiately beca furious, and his companions behind him couldn't hold back any longer.

Just then, a strange sound suddenly erged from the surroundings, like soone was pushing a wheelchair, slowly approaching.

Instinctively, Charles turned toward the source of the sound. He saw a man with no limbs, pale-faced, holding a remote control in his teeth, slowly appearing before him.

In an instant, a dangerous feeling surged in Charles's heart.

It was the person Rex had ntioned!
