Inside the tavern of this small town, aside from Soren, many others must have witnessed the incident involving the Level 6 Beast Master at the door, the one who had torn two other Beast Masters in half. Since the appearance of this Level 6 Beast Master, the once lively tavern had suddenly fallen silent, leaving only the intense music playing lonely in the background.

Soon, the tall, muscular Level 6 Beast Master, whose body glead with a tallic sheen, slowly walked to the bar and sat right next to Charles. He carefully took out a gold coin, with a sowhat reluctant expression, and placed it on the table. He then turned to Soren and said,

"Make the strongest drink you have! One gold coin should be enough. If it's more than enough, just give the change."

Soren glanced at the drink selection nearby, then looked back at the gold coin on the table. His facial muscles twitched.

The strongest drink in the tavern couldn't be bought with just one gold coin.

Soren wasn't going to explain the situation, so he reached out to take the coin. Just then, Charles tapped the bar with his hand and said calmly,

"I'll have one too. His drink is on ."

As soon as Charles finished speaking, the muscular Level 6 Beast Master swiftly snatched the gold coin back, his speed almost a blur. He turned to Charles, a wide grin spreading across his face as he said,

"Alright! Thanks, buddy. I'm Rex, and you?"

Charles smiled and replied,

"Charles."

This ti, Charles didn't feel the need to use a fake na. To his surprise, after Charles said his na, the man nad Rex looked him over closely, mumbling under his breath,

"Not that Charles from Genosha, is it? Just the sa na."

Then, Rex turned to Charles and explained,

"A few days ago, there was that genius competition between Kingston and Genosha. I watched it. There was a kid nad Charles I thought highly of, but his strength was too low."

"Ugh, if he was also a Level 6 Beast Master, I'd definitely challenge him to a good match!"

Charles laughed casually. It seed his na was becoming more widely known. He just wondered which faction this Rex, the Level 6 Beast Master, ca from. Was he part of the powerful forces from the Haunted Marsh?

Just as Soren brought over the strongest drink in the tavern, a young man, who looked a bit timid, slowly stepped out of the crowd. When he reached Rex, he couldn't help but swallow nervously, clearly intimidated.

Before the young man could speak, Rex directly grabbed his drink and downed it in one gulp! The spicy liquor slid down his throat, and Rex's expression brightened with pleasure. He savored the taste, casually comnting,

"Not bad, not bad, but it's a bit too little."

Upon hearing Rex's words, Charles noticed that Rex was staring intently at the remaining glass of strong liquor that was ant for him. Without thinking much, Charles pushed his glass toward Rex and said,

"I've had enough for now. If I keep drinking, I might miss the true flavor of the liquor, and that'd be a waste."

Without hesitation, Rex took the glass that had originally been Charles's and brought it in front of him. Then, looking at Charles, he smiled and said,

"Brother Charles, you're a good man! Really good!"

Charles smiled in return. To him, Rex seed like a good person—at least, he was straightforward with his thoughts and didn't act arrogantly. Compared to the other self-important genius Beast Masters he'd t before, Rex was a breath of fresh air.

If Charles wanted to, he could buy all the drinks in the tavern for Rex to enjoy. However, that wouldn't be very appropriate, especially since it was their first eting. It was better to keep things moderate, leaving so room.

At that mont, the young man who had been nervously standing in the background cautiously spoke up,

"Gentlen, are you here because of the situation in the Lnfinity Lsles Forest?"

Rex waved his hand dismissively and replied,

"Obviously."

Charles simply nodded in acknowledgnt.

The young man took a deep breath and said earnestly,

"If that's the case, perhaps you two could consider joining us. The entire Lnfinity Lsles Forest is currently sealed off, and as ordinary Beast Masters, we have no way of entering."

"Only by uniting can we..."

Before he could finish, Rex impatiently interrupted,

"Enough. What can you possibly do? Are you planning to force your way in?"

The young man was montarily stunned, unsure of how to respond. He glanced back at the crowd behind him.

Among the crowd, a man wearing a baseball cap with the brim pulled low, concealing his face, walked forward. It was clear that this man was the central figure among the Beast Masters in the tavern.

The man with the cap imdiately introduced himself,

"Good day, gentlen. My na is Leonard. I'd like to invite you both to join us and work together to find a way into the forest."

While speaking, Leonard's attention was almost entirely on Rex, barely acknowledging Charles standing beside him.

It was clear that, in Leonard's eyes, Rex—who had used nothing but his physical strength to tear two Level 6 Beast Masters in half without using any tools or summoning a mystical beast—was far more valuable and worth recruiting. As for Charles, he appeared to Leonard to be nothing more than an ordinary Beast Master who didn't seem particularly strong.

Leonard wasn't about to waste too much ti on soone like Charles, as even if he were to join them, he wouldn't be much help. In fact, he might even hinder their progress.

With confidence, Leonard continued,

"Don't worry. After days of research, we've found the weak points in the forest's blockade. All we need is a few more people, and we'll definitely be able to break through and get into the forest!"

Hearing Leonard's words, Rex was slightly intrigued. However, he still asked,

"You've investigated so thoroughly. Then let ask you this—do you know what's inside the blocked-off forest?"

Leonard paused for a mont, unsure, then answered,

"It seems to be related to divine beasts. Even if there are no divine beasts, there are bound to be treasures, rare forging materials, and alchemy materials!"

Charles, who was listening nearby, had already lost interest. In his opinion, trying to break through the powerful forces' blockade in the Haunted Marsh using sheer brute strength was highly unrealistic.

He had initially thought Leonard might have so extraordinary ideas.

But now that Charles was no longer interested, he wasn't willing to listen to Leonard's continued boasting about how perfect his plan was, and how if Rex joined, it would surely work—leading them to a treasure trove of rare materials and artifacts waiting in the forest.

Rex kept nodding, as if he was genuinely moved by Leonard's words. Just when Leonard thought Rex would surely join them, Rex suddenly spoke up,

"The plan sounds good, but is your strength really that impressive? How about we have a fight and see?"

"I feel like you're also a Level 6 Beast Master, so you shouldn't be too weak, right?"

A stiff smile appeared on Leonard's face, and he answered,

"Don't worry, brother Rex. My strength may not be as strong as yours, but among Level 6 Beast Masters, I'm still decent."

Upon hearing Leonard's words, Rex, just like Charles, lost interest. He sighed and said,

"Since your strength isn't on par with mine, why should I follow your plan? And frankly, it doesn't seem very reliable."

Charles hadn't expected that Rex, who seed to have little intelligence and was all muscle, would also consider Leonard's plan to be highly untrustworthy. It was truly an unexpected turn of events.

Faced with the reality of Rex's words, Leonard was suddenly filled with a lot of frustration. He struggled to keep his emotions in check, unsure whether it was to avoid the awkwardness or to shift the attention, but he turned his gaze toward Charles.

Leonard maintained his usual expression and addressed Charles, saying,

"Friend, you heard what I said just now. If you want to join us, that's fine, but we need to first determine your strength. You can't be too weak."

Charles waved his hand dismissively, signaling that he wasn't particularly interested in Leonard's invitation. Just monts ago, a very feasible plan had co to his mind, one that carried little risk.

Seeing Charles's indifferent attitude, Leonard finally couldn't hold back any longer. It was one thing for Rex to be strong, but for an ordinary Beast Master who seed to have appeared out of nowhere to also disregard him like this—Leonard was seething with frustration!
