"Yes, we are part of the new set," Temur answered.

"Good! You guys look as if you are strong! I've been fighting a lot of our set fellow Climbers. It's good that I will also get to fight you guys. Let's do that before I leave for my new job!"

Jael groaned, and Temur grimaced; he was thinking, 'Is she a powerful mage? Why does a short girl like her, who barely reaches his shoulder, react like this? Co to think of it, how did she break the door like that?

Lola's grin widened, and she raised her hand. "My Codex!"

It shimred blue before it changed to a solid black, her Codex was made of black Iron and it was taller than Temur. "Is that a hamr?"

Jael understood him. The hamr is several tis her height with a head that looks so ridiculously big he wonders how she's able to carry it.

But she carried it just fine, even switching it from hand to hand. "She's all yours, Temur, the great warrior!"

"You've got to be kidding m.....!!"

Lola laughed and swung casually as if she was swatting a fly. Temur hadn't changed his weapon from a shield, and he took it with him. He flinched and grunted and he was sent flying back, his hand flared with pain and his back as he was ramd into the wall.

But none stung like his pride. "Seems I have underestimated your strength."

But not only her strength because she's suddenly in front of him with her weapon drawn back. "Look at !"

She brought it down, hamring a stubborn nail. Bang! "Huh?" She frowned because she was expecting to hear a crushing sound as bones break but it sounded like tal hitting tal.

Then suddenly, she found herself jumping back; her face showed confusion and surprise as all attention fastened on her opponent; she wasn't grinning anymore.

Because what she thought was a cub was a Tiger. "What is that?" The aura pressure that she felt! It's strong!

"I would love to play with you but I don't have ti." Temur, Litha, and Jael might not look powerful, but that is simply because the opponents they've been fighting are even more powerful, at the top of the Iron rank.

But soone like this girl? Sure, she's powerful, but not on Temur's level. His eyes shone a bright red as his aura bellowed around him; the dust from the earlier attack was still in the air, and it made him look even more imposing.

Lola stepped back even further, her cheek cold from sweat. "You are strong. Of course, my hand doesn't want to move because of that fact, but that just makes it even more worth it!"

She flew towards him, covering the distance between them with that big hamr of hers, she brought it down on him with all the strength in her body.

Temur raised his hand and his weapon changed into a tal glove that covered it, then he put his aura above it. The hamr ca down with a loud bang! The floor cracked around him, but he stood there like a statue with his hand raised.

Lola's face widens because she at least expects the hand to break, not this!

Temur slapped her hamr away and he watched his hand where the black tal was smoking. He clenched his fist, it throbbed. "You have a very powerful strength in that small body of yours. But try this!"

Lola knew he was coming towards her, but he was too fast for her to react on ti; all she saw was a flash of red and sothing ramd into her stomach. Ribs snapped like cheap plastics, and her world turned upside down; darkness clouded her eyes, and she fainted.

"Why don't you kill her?" Jael asked as he watched Temur lay the girl in the side, out of the way. Her big hamr varnished when she passed out.

Temur straightened. "Because she's an idiot, and she hasn't been touched by the Tower's corruption."

Jael found himself agreeing. Co to think of it, if it wasn't for the Chaos Cult, they also would be just as naive or perhaps a bit cautious with the previous test, but still, he knew they would just be out there training and doing nothing but look forward to the next test.

Then he frowned. "Untouched but she's working for Kaidos? I think she might just be as rotten."

Temur looked at her and shrugged.

They continued passed the door and finally reached the workroom of the Blood Necromancer, Kaelith. One of his workrooms.

"I knew you would be the one," Kaidos said casually from his place; he was sitting on a tal chair, one of the many chairs that weren't filled with books or test glasses.

The workroom is big with low light and big shelves housing glass jugs and pots with things inside that Jael didn't want to know. Bodies and skeletons were shoved in corners.

Behind Kaidos are two more people who are under Kaidos's contract. But that wasn't what held their attention; it was an orb that floated in the center of the room and the voice that ca out of it. "You guys are always late, no matter what!"

"Litha?" Jael and Temur asked, trying to keep the hope from their voices.

"Yes, it's ," they could practically see the eye roll. "What took you so long? I'm dying of boredom here."

Kaidos laughed. "I've not t a more stupid people in my life; you can voluntarily into a Necromancer's domain? Aren't you getting too bold?"

"Temur will be kept busy while we take care of you, Kaidos. I swear it, this will be your grave." Temur said it calmly as if it was sothing as trivia as cooking.

Kaidos glared and pointed at them. "Kill him."

The two under his command jerked upright, they ran forward but didn't get to fight.

Jael raised his hand. "How about you slow down?"
