Cecilia didn’t reply but instead opened her phone and showed Elena the stock page. It showed that her investnt of three million yesterday had already gone up to three hundred and ten thousand today! In one night, it had increased by a full one hundred thousand!
Elena opened her mouth wide in astonishnt. anwhile, Mary was also just as shocked as she looked over. "This... this is impossible!"
Cecilia took back her phone and thought for a mont before speaking, "The governnt can’t monopolize the beauty industry, much less by the Anderson family. In Star City, the only possible monopoly you could achieve would be in a collaboration with the Lawrence family. Their business spans globally and excels in every aspect, but Mrs. Brut hasn’t announced any partnership with the Lawrence family. This only ans one thing."
Mary was puzzled. "What thing?"

As she said that, Cecilia realized she was actually praising Steven in front of outsiders. But honestly speaking, he truly was exceptionally capable in the business world.

Cecilia made a questioning face. Since when was she close to Steven? Moreover, she didn’t even know him that well...

It wasn’t because she was Elena and Jas’ adopted daughter, but because of the calculating look she had toward the couple. A seasoned businessman like Steven could discern that gaze at a glance.
However, he still held respect for Elena. Moreover, she was related by blood to Cecilia, which was why he ultimately chose to give Mary the benefit of the doubt.
Mary took the elevator straight to the top-floor executive office, astonished at the height of the office when she entered.
