Alex read through the book for a good while before putting it down to relax his eyes. As he glanced up, he saw Steven striding toward him.

Startled, he quickly stepped forward to et him.

He had completely forgotten that he was still in a dress, so he approached Steven, who had a surprised look on his face.

"Dad, let’s go."

On the other hand, Steven’s face grew darker and darker. He clenched his fists and gritted out, "Ethan, just you wait!"

Recently, Steven had been so busy that Ethan was put in charge of Alex’s daily needs. Ethan had been ntioning sothing about a niece or a daughter, and now he had resorted to this—putting Alex in a dress!

Although Alex had worn so strange outfits before, Steven had assud that, as he was a boy, he just couldn’t style his clothes nicely. But now, it seed like those tis back then were also part of Ethan’s doing.

Alex looked down at his dress, realizing the trouble he had just caused. However, seeing as Steven had already co up with an excuse for him, he chose to remain silent.

‘Uncle, I’m sorry.’

At the racetrack, Ethan suddenly sneezed three tis in a row.

‘Who’s talking bad about ?’

Steven took off his suit jacket, wrapped it around Alex, and picked him up to leave the school.

If other parents saw him dressed in such a way, they would surely talk bad about him—Alex would be the one getting hurt by it.

Just as they reached the entrance, Niki walked in and saw Alex, who was wrapped up tightly with only his little face showing.

‘Wait a minute...’

‘Are kidnappers this brazen now?’

‘Stealing kids in broad daylight with caras everywhere?’

‘I’ll show this kidnapper what he’s going against!’

With that in mind, she took on a Taekwondo stance and lunged forward with a powerful kick, one strong enough to leave a car damaged.

"Kidnapper, your life is over!”

Alex’s eyes widened in shock as he hurriedly shouted, "Auntie, look closely! I’m not the person you’re looking for!"

She quickly stopped, her foot hovering in mid-air.

‘What’s going on? What does this an?’

‘He’s not Emma, but that’s definitely her face. Moreover, this little dress was the one I had picked out for her this morning.’

Steven frowned, clearly bewildered by Niki’s strange actions.

"What do you want with my son?"

‘Son?’

Niki’s eyes widened. Alex was winking at her, and she followed his gaze to see Emma looking anxious.

Then, she hurriedly put her foot down.

So he was the son Cecilia had been looking for all this ti!

Her face lit up with happiness before she lowered her head.

"My apologies, I mistook you for soone else."

Steven ignored her, carrying Alex away.

Only then did Emma co out and explain everything that had happened to Niki.

At the Foster family’s residence.

Larry and Olive had just returned ho when they sensed sothing wasn’t right.

As they stepped through the door, they saw Larry’s father, Cole, sitting on the couch with a dark expression.

Ecstatic to see his father, Larry ran up to him.

"Dad, you’re here~"

However, Cole coldly pushed him away and took out a belt, lashing it onto Larry’s calf.
