The person outside the door was surprised by his greeting, but then he smiled and patted Alex on the head.

"Little Emma, don’t you recognize ?"

Alex looked at the stranger outside the door, utterly confused.

Cecilia had just finished drying her hair. Hearing the commotion, she walked over and her expression softened quite a bit.

"Emma, this is Uncle Bruce."

‘Bruce? Who is that?’

Alex stared at the man in front of him, hatred welling inside him.

He was a tall man wearing a custom-made suit. His short hair was of light natural curl, neatly tucked behind his ears.

His deep brown eyes seed to resemble that of Westerners, which expressed a peculiar lancholy. His skin was so pale it almost shone, and he slled a bit like sandalwood.

Most importantly, he seed to be close with Cecilia.

This was mainly because they were doing a cheek-to-cheek greeting, with Alex trapped right in the middle.

How annoying!

Alex turned around with a sour look, walking back to his room.

Cecilia was confused. Wasn’t Emma quite fond of Bruce when they were abroad? Why was she like this today?

Bruce smiled awkwardly.

"No worries, she’s just a kid. Maybe she sees as a stranger since it has been a while."

Cecilia nodded and then asked curiously, "By the way, why are you back here?"

Bruce was Cecilia’s friend from abroad, a famous pianist of mixed Chinese-French descent.

He was the one who discovered her musical talent, helping her successfully enter the music industry.

However, he had never returned to the country; at least, that was the case for Cecilia.

After all, she had never seen him co back in the four years she was abroad. Moreover, he had always dodged the question whenever she asked him about it.

Thus, finding him here was quite a surprise for her.

Bruce shrugged and replied calmly, "I got tired of staying abroad, so I ca back to let loose and see if you’re done with your mission."

He was the only one besides Emma who knew she was back to find her son this ti.

Cecilia’s eyes dimd as she shook her head. Seeing this, Bruce patted her shoulder to comfort her.

"It’s okay. This ti, I can help you look."

"Okay."

Seeing her down in the dumps, he took out his phone and played a video.

"Miss Riane, you’re really popular everywhere."

Cecilia watched the video—it was her singing the rock song.

It already had over a billion views, with its popularity still skyrocketing.

She smiled wryly and replied, "Stop teasing ."

While they were chatting, Steven and Zane were already on the elevator to the last floor.

Zane looked at the disappearing location on his phone, hesitating to speak out his thoughts.

"Mr. Lawrence, the location tracker ends here, and there’s only one room left to check. But..."

Steven turned slightly and asked, "What’s the matter?"

Zane frowned. "But that’s Miss Morrison’s room."

Steven jolted, recalling her singing in the studio, especially the butterfly tattoo on her collarbone.

Was she actually Riane?

As the elevator doors opened and Steven stepped out, he didn’t expect to see Cecilia and Bruce happily conversing.

A strange fury seed to boil within Steven.

She never smiled at him like that...

Seeing this, Zane began feeling upset for Steven.

"Miss Morrison is really awkward. She tried by all ans to get close to you, but she was so friendly and close to so other n. If only she could be soft and smile like that to you, maybe you would’ve..."

Steven coldly said, "Stop talking nonsense. Let’s go over."

Zane wisely shut his mouth and followed Steven toward Cecilia.

The closer they got, the more Zane could feel the air around Steven growing colder as well.

Tsk... a showdown was bound to occur.

Cecilia and Bruce were completely oblivious to the growing shadow approaching behind them.

Bruce said, "By the way, has that Lawrence-sothing person who’s been looking for you figured out your identity?"

Cecilia sneered dismissively. "Steven? He’s just a psycho. He needs his head checked!"

Suddenly, a cold voice ca from behind them.

"Sure. When will you bring to check? Miss Riane."
