Steven’s eyes were filled with guilt.
Alex rarely ntioned his mother, but in monts like this, he felt defeated.
He put down the plate and gently lifted Emma up.
"Let’s go have a big al, okay?"

Suddenly, she had an idea.
"Daddy, can I choose the restaurant myself?"
He nodded. "Of course."
After picking a restaurant, Emma secretly ssaged Alex using her watch.

Alex read the ssage and quickly replied, [Okay.]
Afterward, he looked at Cecilia. "Mom, I want to eat delicious food."
Cecilia realized she hadn’t spent much ti with Emma recently due to Rick’s surgery. Thus, she naturally agreed since she was free today.

Indie Restaurant was the city’s most famous romantic restaurant, with an environnt and atmosphere that made patrons thoroughly enjoy their ti there.
The two kids hadn’t forgotten their most important mission—to have their parents marry each other!
Before marriage, dating was a must.
In the evening, Steven took Emma to the restaurant.
The decor was romantic, with soft lighting, delicate candles, and even roses on the table.
Emma walked in excitedly, scanning the place as she pulled Steven’s hand.
"Daddy, let’s sit over there!" she eagerly pointed to a table beside the window.
Steven nodded and followed her. However, as they sat down, his eyes went to the table across them.
Cecilia was sitting there, her eyebrows furrowed as she focused on reading a docunt. She had a glass of water in front of her, clearly waiting for soone.
Steven’s heart sank, his eyebrows furrowing.
He didn’t expect her to be in this area, let alone in this restaurant.
His first thought was that she was tracking him.
This woman was really cunning. In the past, he would’ve rented the entire restaurant to avoid any unwanted attention.
However, ’Alex’ wanted to feel the normal vibe of a restaurant, so he had no other choice. He could only observe her moves from afar to prevent any surprises.
After Alex ca out of the bathroom, the lights suddenly dimd. He knew the food was about to be served, so he quickly returned to his seat.
The restaurant was dimly lit, mainly to create a faint sense of mystery. Due to that, Steven didn’t notice another little figure over at Cecilia’s table.
During the al, Emma ate her food eagerly. This was her usual habit whenever she received good als.
Steven watched her eat with gleaming eyes, feeling guilty all over again.
’My cooking must’ve been really terrible for him to act this way.’
Thinking this, he peeled a few more prawns and put them on Emma’s plate.
Realizing ti was almost up, Alex quickly ssaged Emma.
[Ready?]
Emma wiped her mouth and replied.
[Start!]
Alex tapped the plate gently, and a violinist soon erged from the dark.
The violinist stood in position and began a lodious performance.
After listening to just a couple of bars, Emma recognized that this was one of Cecilia’s songs.
She was ecstatic, turning around and blurting to Cecilia, "Mommy, this is the song!"
Next to Cecilia, Alex was surprised.
