Chapter 751: Chapter 751
Fourth Brother Zhao chuckled coldly, “Kid, didn’t you say you already got five million? How co you’re running over here now?”
“Brother Zhao, let explain. I did get five million, but it got snatched back by them. But don’t worry, if I could get it once, I can get it again.”
At this mont, Lin Fucheng’s ntal state was close to collapsing. He never expected that even running back to his hotown, he’d still be found. To make matters worse, it seed Fourth Brother Zhao had even arrived ahead of him. He couldn’t help but wonder, how did Fourth Brother Zhao know about his hotown?
Not to ntion, this place was his very secluded grand-uncle’s house. Even Tang Tiantian wouldn’t know about it.
But asking that question now wasn’t appropriate. The most urgent task was to calm Fourth Brother Zhao down, give him so leeway, and then find another place to flee.
Unfortunately, Fourth Brother Zhao had seen all kinds of dodging tactics from gamblers.
Lin Fucheng’s tricks truly weren’t worth much, barely worth noticing.
“Stop your nonsense. Be honest—tonight, you really surprised . You damn near walked off with the five million, didn’t you? Kid, you sure play dirty, even willing to send your mother to Old Master Xu’s bed.”
“To be frank, your mother isn’t even worth much. Frankly, even I wouldn’t want her, not to ntion taking her to a club where she’d be a liability.”
“But your move was different—directly aiming at Old Master Xu. Truly a clever ploy. You almost even got adopted as his son.”
Lin Fucheng stared at Fourth Brother Zhao, utterly shocked. “How do you know all of this? Why do you know this stuff? Were you at the scene?”
“Of course I wasn’t there. If I had been, the five million would’ve been mine and no one else’s.” Fourth Brother Zhao said regretfully.
“Then how exactly did you find out? And why are you here at my grand-uncle’s house? Who told you about this place?” Lin Fucheng finally couldn’t hold back his questions.
“Kid, I’ve told you before, no matter where you run—even to the ends of the earth—I can find you.”
“Not just your grand-uncle. I’ve even checked out your ancestral ho. It’s not bad—worth about twenty to thirty thousand. Plus, your grand-uncle’s house and land combined total about eighty thousand, enough to cover part of the debt. Now, why don’t you tell how you’re going to pay the remaining two hundred thousand?”
At this point, Liu Qingxia stepped forward angrily and confronted Fourth Brother Zhao: “We never said we’d sell the ancestral ho. And where is my grand-uncle?”
“You an the old man? He’s inside, resting.”
“Since you want to see him, I’ll make sure you do.”
Soon, an old man beaten half to death was carried out.
Witnessing this scene, Liu Qingxia burst into fury, screaming, “You vile bastards! He’s already in his seventies or eighties! How can you be so cruel? Aren’t you afraid of killing him and causing a death scandal?”
Fourth Brother Zhao couldn’t stop laughing at Liu Qingxia’s words. “Seventies or eighties? That’s pri ti to hustle. Otherwise, how else could he please those fifty-sothing ladies and have fun?”
Hearing such a mocking remark, Liu Qingxia’s face turned crimson with rage.
She turned to glare at her son, tears of disappointnt in her eyes. “Say sothing! Seeing your mother humiliated like this—does it sit well with you?”
“Back then, I warned you not to gamble. I begged you to stop, but you wouldn’t listen. Now look at what’s happened—not only are we broke, but you’ve dragged into this ss too.”
Listening to his mother’s tirade, Lin Fucheng grew impatient.
“What good is talking about this now? Didn’t you tell before that it’s normal for n to fool around outside and there’s no need to stick to one’s wife?”
“I told you to have fun, not to gamble like crazy!”
The mother and son started quarreling outright, blaming and accusing each other.
Over on the haystack, Zhang Yang listened to their argunt, utterly speechless.
Sure enough, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. So this is where it starts—with her.
Tang Tiantian, on the other hand, had no words left to say. She had treated this mother-in-law so well.
Yet what she got in return was this—a truly unfair outco for her.
anwhile, the drama continued to unfold, and Fourth Brother Zhao was starting to get impatient.
“Why don’t the two of you just fight it out? Whoever wins tonight gets a pass from .”
Lin Fucheng looked montarily tempted by the proposition.
Fortunately, at that mont, Liu Qingxia didn’t fall for the bait. She snarled at Fourth Brother Zhao, “Aren’t we just short a few million? Give us three days, and I’ll pay it back.”
“What, have you got your eyes on another old man now?” Fourth Brother Zhao mocked.
“That’s none of your business. You’ll get your money—that’s all you need to worry about.”
Fourth Brother Zhao smirked coldly. “Not impossible. But since everyone’s here today, I won’t let this be a wasted trip.”
“The interest still has to be paid. Apart from the ancestral ho and the house here, you’ll have to entertain my brothers a little.”
Enraged, Liu Qingxia glared at Fourth Brother Zhao. “What are you planning to do? I warn you—don’t you dare cross the line.”
“The boys just want a change of taste, that’s all. It’ll be fun to see what it’s like to enjoy a woman Old Master Xu has already played with.”
“Let’s see how captivating you are—whether you’re worth those five million.”
Hearing this, ten or so n began approaching with wicked smiles on their faces.
Lin Fucheng finally showed a shred of conscience and quickly stepped in front of Liu Qingxia.
“Brother Zhao, let’s talk this through. There’s no need to go this far. I swear we’ll figure out a way to get the money—you have my word.”
“Maybe I’d have believed you if this were before. But now? You think you can pull off the sa tricks again? Everyone in the upper society circle knows about the two of you now.”
“You’ve both beco infamous—this lifeti, forget ever getting five million again.”
Lin Fucheng’s face went pale, but then, as if struck by an idea, he suggested to Fourth Brother Zhao, “I still have one more option. You’ve seen my wife—Zhang Yang dotes on her like no other.”
“I can get money from him—don’t just talk five million; even ten million is possible.”
On the haystack, Zhang Yang and Tang Tiantian exchanged a glance upon hearing this.
Tang Tiantian’s expression was full of apology—once again, she nearly beca a pawn to hurt Zhang Yang.
Zhang Yang joked, “I think you’re worth a billion.”
Xu Caii joined in on the fun, asking, “What about ? What am I worth, huh?”
“You’re worth one hundred yuan.”
“What?” Xu Caii looked wounded, her face full of grievance.
Zhang Yang grinned and added, “That one hundred yuan—you’d still need to give .”
“So I’m a loss-making deal, huh? Fine, I’ll take the loss. Who cares? I really have one hundred yuan—it’s a fair price.” Xu Caii happily hugged Zhang Yang, unabashedly kissing him in front of Tang Tiantian.
