"Pu... Lawyer?"

Jean Ellison almost called out his na. Of course, she recognized Samual Pryce. Although it had been five years, his appearance hadn’t changed, nor had his physique.

Jules Ellison frowned, scrutinizing the man from head to toe.

Another lawyer? He looked sowhat familiar, as if she had seen him sowhere.

Samual Pryce was montarily stunned, thinking he had opened the wrong door.

Clearly not, he hadn’t used a code or brought keys; he had unlocked the door with his fingerprint.

He quickly scanned the living room’s setting—indeed, it was Justin Holden’s ho, no mistake about it.

Why are there so many won in Justin Holden’s house... what’s the occasion today?

Usually, there’s not even a shadow, it’s empty and desolate, and suddenly there are more people. He was a bit unused to it.

"Ahem."

He took two steps forward and closed the door behind him.

Clearing his throat, he explained, "I’m here to fetch so docunts. My colleagues at the law firm are waiting for them. Please continue, don’t mind ."

"Jean Ellison, you really are sothing, knowing how to use n to your advantage."

"Did you know I wouldn’t give up easily, so you quickly hooked up with a new lawyer from the start?"

"Already moved in together, quite fast, aren’t you?"

Jules Ellison snorted, her tone displeased, her eyes full of contempt as she sized up the man and woman before her.

Complicit and shaless.

Samual Pryce walked into the study before she spoke, not hearing any sound behind him.

He went in and closed the door properly.

Taking out the phone from his pocket, his fingers quickly tapped on the screen—he needed to ask Justin Holden exactly what was going on.

Weren’t they not to be in contact once the lawsuit was won?

How did he end up bringing these two won ho?

Justin Holden must be planning to secretly keep them, having both wife and child in one fell swoop.

He’d probably gone mad because of the pressure from family to get married.

In the living room, Jean Ellison also couldn’t make sense of the situation—why Samual Pryce suddenly appeared here, and he even unlocked it with his fingerprint.

Could he be the landlord ntioned by the agency?

Seeing her unresponsive, Jules Ellison’s face turned red with anger, and she tightly clenched the extravagant handbag encrusted with diamond shards.

The sharp edges of the diamonds hurt her hand, but she seed numb to it, gripping even tighter.

See, she had guessed it right.

"I indeed rented this place, paid for it with my own money. I wasn’t aware of the second trial, and even if I coincidentally rented a lawyer’s house, it is just a coincidence."

Jean Ellison furrowed her brows, still perplexed.

She rembered Justin Holden saying that Samual Pryce was married to Wendy Wallace, and they had a great relationship.

Why would he co out to share a place with soone?

Suddenly, her hand was held by a small hand, and as she looked down, it was Jesse.

Jesse tilted his head up, his big round eyes gazing at her, the pupils black and glistening.

"Mom, who was that uncle just now?"

Jean Ellison stroked his hair gently and said softly, "He’s Uncle Holden’s good friend, you should call him Uncle Pryce."

Jesse nodded obediently.

Jules Ellison watched her behavior, thinking it was all an act, pretending to be gentle and kind in front of the child, trying to keep Jesse by her side forever.

Only she could provide Jesse with the best life, offer things that others couldn’t.

She could ensure Jesse attended international schools forever, could arrange foreign citizenship, could allow her to have everything she wanted—things Jean Ellison couldn’t provide, so why compete for the child?

Suddenly, Jules Ellison’s phone rang, her face turning pale, seemingly knowing who was calling.

She took out her phone from her bag, glancing at the three-character note, "Old Mrs."

It was Ian Jennings’ mother, ever-present, always watching her closely. Not long after she left the house, a servant went to inform the old lady.

She didn’t dare answer the call in front of Jean Ellison; she had to maintain face, couldn’t lose the image of the wealthy lady.

Glaring once at Jean Ellison, she rushed out on high heels, fearing she’d miss the call and even more fearful the old lady would reprimand her, and Jean Ellison would hear and ridicule her.

Jesse pursed his lips, watching his aunt leave, then looked up at his mom and said, "It’s grandma. Aunt is really afraid of grandma."

Jean Ellison was a bit taken aback, concerned as she glanced toward the half-opened door.

She rembered Jules Ellison got married ten years ago; the wedding cost over a billion, unprecedented in grandeur.

Her parents even said Jules Ellison was lucky to marry Ian Jennings; with no siblings in the family, becoming a favored daughter-in-law of the Jennings family elders, surely she’d live a happy life after marriage.

Why would Jules Ellison be afraid of her mother-in-law?

The dia had always praised their mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship, saying they were more like a mother and daughter.

The Jennings family’s old lady didn’t just choose a daughter-in-law but found a daughter for herself, realizing the dream of having a daughter. She generously gifted her with treasure jewelry, showing no stinginess.

"Isn’t grandma nice to Aunt?"

She squatted down, looking at Jesse at eye level.

Jesse thought for a mont, then softly said, "Grandma doesn’t like Aunt, doesn’t like Jesse. Daddy listens to grandma a lot, Aunt always cries secretly."

"We can visit Aunt together soti, okay?"

Jean Ellison roughly guessed what was going on; adults could piece together the brief words of children to understand.

"Okay."

Jesse smiled sweetly, even though he didn’t like the old ho, if he returned with mom, he was willing.

Elsewhere, in a more valuable property.

Justin Holden handed his car keys to the butler at the door for parking, striding into the hall and drawing countless gazes.

Wide shoulders, narrow waist, six foot three inches tall, impossibly long legs.

The black suit made him look even taller and more upright, exuding a refined, elite integrity.

His phone rang several tis; he stepped into the elevator, unhurriedly taking out his phone.

"Jean Ellison and that child are at your house."

"When did you bring them back from the hospital? Does Zoe Holden know about this?"

He’s already moved in with another woman, and Zoe Holden was still thinking of pairing him with Miss Sutton. Was she planning to let him have multiple wives?

Samual Pryce was utterly baffled, having no clue what was going on.

Justin Holden didn’t reply to his ssages, standing in the elevator, staring intently at the few lines of text on the phone screen, his fingers tightened.

His brows were furrowed, his face cold, the black pupils churning with turbulence.

He should have expected...

His slender fingers quickly pressed the elevator buttons, making it ascend and descend again.

"Cancel the cleaning of my apartnt, but still cover the expenses."

This ssage was sent to the butler.
