Chapter 726: Chapter 262: Road of Dusk

The coastline of the Land of Dead Dreams was nearly destroyed. From the massive pit in the center, the cracks in the earth spread in all directions, covering the entire battlefield like a spiderweb.

At the very edges, the collapse continued, countless large and small pale clods of earth detached from the ground, falling into the endless dark void, disappearing at the edge of sight.

It was truly an apocalyptic scene, causing the Dusk Fairy to reveal a complex expression.

However, the essence of this world is ultimately a dream, so the land that seems to vanish is rely an accumulation of dream ruins.

Though it appears that a small piece of land was sunk into the void, giving an irretrievable sensation, as long as the Holy City still exists, it won’t take long for this vanished land to gradually be filled back.

Still, this doesn’t prevent the Dusk Fairy from staring closely at the culprit cleaning the battlefield with a gaze that treats them as a dangerous elent.

“There isn’t anything that can serve as evidence…”

Feeling the prickling gaze on her back, the Hero awkwardly glanced around.

One of the advantages of the dream world was that even when she transford into the Holy Mother Peak, her clothes remained intact when she reverted back.

Surveying the apocalyptic wasteland-like cracked earth she had created, she squatted down and reached for a palm-sized shell fragnt, trying to conceal her embarrassnt.

But the mont her fingers touched the shell fragnt, it shattered swiftly, turning into a wisp of illusory dream dust, scattering with the wind, completely annihilated.

“…This won’t work either.” As expected, the result made the Hero sigh lightly.

Awakening from her transformation at the call of her other self, the two of them had searched all around, but to no avail.

Not to ntion pearls, they couldn’t even find several fragnts larger than the previous piece.

“You smashed the ground and even used Dawn Break, it’s normal they died without leaving a trace.”

The Depraved Hero, who had no expectations, looked speechless.

“I don’t think it’s entirely my fault…” The Hero softly defended herself.

“Stop shirking responsibility, rember, my responsibility is your responsibility, and your responsibility is still your responsibility.”

The Depraved Hero, without any self-reflection, puffed her chest out, but her gaze drifted towards the Dusk Fairy who was watching them intently.

Having found nothing in the search for spoils, and sensing that her other self seed to have so ill intentions, the Hero hesitated for a mont but decided to turn proactively towards the Dusk Fairy.

“Um, hello.” She showed a friendly smile, trying to appear polite and poised.

“…Hello.” The Dusk Fairy paused for a mont, her expression still cold, but she responded nonetheless.

Seeing her willing to respond, the Hero sighed with slight relief, and then quietly explained:

“Sorry for the earlier conduct; due to her prank, my status was a bit off.”

Saying this, she glared at the Depraved Hero, and gave an awkward smile.

“I am a Saintess Candidate selected this ti, and also a Hero.”

She slightly bowed her head, expressing respect to the Fairy before her in impeccable Church etiquette.

“Nice to et you, Holy Sword, it is an honor to see you.”

Noticing the Hero also acknowledging the Dusk Fairy’s identity, the Depraved Hero couldn’t conceal the disappointnt on her face.

The pillar of light in the center of the Dream World, the warning of the Saintess’s Commandnts, the Fairy claiming to be ‘usable’…

Along with that small stature, holding a deep aura faintly overpowering the Great Demon…

Though she had only heard of the Eternal Holy Sword’s na from the Church’s classics and descriptions from others, piecing together all this information, it wasn’t hard for the Hero to recognize the Fairy’s identity.

But the Great Demon, which was lured, had been entirely annihilated, and now her own form recognized the other party, grabbing the Fairy with ‘I don’t know either~’ as an excuse, and attempting to try out the Holy Sword, seed to be an impossible task.

“Tsk…”

The Depraved Hero clicked her tongue lightly, her expression instantly losing interest.

But unlike her, the Fairy, whose face was previously full of coldness and alertness, brightened imdiately upon hearing the Hero’s respectful address.

“Hmm, hmm! I see! Not bad, not bad, I forgive your rudeness.”

With joy brimming around, as if saying ‘this is how it should be,’ the Dusk Fairy straightened her chest, forgetting seven or eight-tenths of the previous displeasure and frenzy.

Fairies are simple beings… although in essence, she wasn’t a true Fairy, as the Spirit of the Holy Artifact, she apparently didn’t bear any grudges.

And as the Saintess selection hadn’t officially started, she hadn’t seen many candidates yet, naturally arousing her curiosity at the mont.

“This batch’s Saintess candidate… the successor of Divine Knowledge?”

The Dusk Fairy squinted her eyes slightly, circling the Hero several tis, intensely scrutinizing this human.

“I didn’t expect to et so soon.”

Her tiny form hovered in front of the Hero, arms crossed, with a hint of contemplation in her amber eyes.

“But you’re completely different from the Divine Knowledge girl…”

Thinking of the Divine Knowledge Saintess, who never acted rashly, she shook her head, but her gaze again turned to the devastated ground below, and the cracked coastline ahead, that scene like the descent of the apocalypse…
