Once upon a ti, in the boundless sky, only a full moon hung alone.
It gazed upon the earth, casting its cold, ethereal radiance eternally.
And on that land shrouded in darkness, the weak humankind struggled for survival under the reign of Magic Creatures.
The Earth People never truly understood the moon’s true nature, yet they always held it in awe, fear, and even worshipped it on bended knees.
The moon was not only a distant presence in the high heavens; it was also the source of the disturbed Magic Tide, stirring Arcane Surge and the devastation of disasters.
Whenever the Moon Phase reached its fullness, the order of heaven and earth quietly collapsed.
The tides of Magic Power beca violent, Magic Creatures stirred, and ravaged the land. Even the spirits of humankind often fell into confusion and madness.
Under the illumination of Moonlight, it seed that all clear things would beco murky, and all pure beings would be tainted.
Thus, people called that ominous and sole divine moon...
——Chaos Moon.

Sitting coldly on the ancient and icy Jade Throne at the center of Moon City, the Moon Priest looked calm as water, like a sculpture, devoid of any warmth.
"I" had a soft chair behind as well, but I dared not take a seat.
In the silent hall, only the two of us were present, the surrounding Moonlight creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere, seemingly isolating us from all external disturbances.
My mind, weary from the emptiness of Magic Power, drifted montarily into a daze.
Only those unhealed scrapes on my body reminded that the recent madness and death were not illusions.
re monts ago, death was inches away from , claiming many of those around .
"Chaos Moon...?"
My voice carried a touch of hoarseness, my gaze somberly fixed on the Priest.
"You specifically brought to the heart of this demon, just to indoctrinate with your mythical legends?"
The contents that the Priest ntioned, I had never heard from the scribe.
Had I not perceived the true face of Moon City, had I not experienced the deadly battle just now, had I not witnessed the conclusion where my companions were left without a trace... perhaps I would have been interested to listen.
But now...
"This is so amusing, should I clap for you?"
I couldn’t control my expression, letting out a cold laugh.
The Priest’s Magic Power was unfathomable; even in my full status, I would probably not be her match in a one-on-one fight, let alone now while I’m severely injured, my Magic Power nearly depleted.
Moreover, this is the center of Moon City, her territory. Perhaps with a re flick of her fingers, I would directly turn to dust.
But precisely because of this, I’m too lazy to disguise my emotions.
Emotionally, I no longer have such strength; rationally, if she really would attack for such negligible malice, she could easily have finished off on the way here.
So, I just made a sarcastic remark, then coldly looked at her without saying another word nor making any unnecessary movent.
I stood there quietly, waiting for her to continue speaking.
"Our myths... might indeed be like that to you."
Sure enough, the Moon Priest did not get angry but calmly shook her head instead.
"In the language of your Earth people, ’myth’ refers to stories that are elusive and hard to verify.
"The Sun dancer, the Angel’s Royal City, the Fallen Angel’s phoenix, and... many of these mythical stories may symbolize powerful beings from ancient tis, but for those of you living in the present, they’re just records that have long passed, existing only on yellowed pages."
"Isn’t it like that?" I retorted.
"I said, indeed it is so for you, for the Earth people."
The Moon Priest slowly stood up, her pure white robes gently swayed. She bowed slightly, her gaze eting mine, that pair of Moon White pupils indistinguishable from other Moon people seed to hide deep and profound unknowns.
"But we are different."
Her voice was deep and tiless, seeming to penetrate the hall and spanning over long ti.
"Our myths continue to this day."

The Hero blinked in surprise to find the reflection of himself clearly apparent in the Moon Priest’s eyes.
Though the Ancestor also had ink-black hair and erald eyes, and her appearance was quite similar to his, he must admit that his physique and looks were indeed more mature (if only slightly).
Thus, the Hero was sure that the Priest was watching him, not the Ancestor.
On the other hand, the gloomy-looking girl next to him, who couldn’t hide her curiosity while watching him, wasn’t she the Ancestor he saw in the mirror earlier?
"You are the first to embed the imprint deeply here and successfully activate us."
A faint smile appeared on the Moon Priest’s face, her tone gentle and serene. She slightly nodded to the Hero, her words carrying praise.
"Indeed an exceptional Magician."
"Magician... really is a Magician."
The Ancestor’s initially somber expression also gradually brightened, a complex emotion flickering in her eyes.
She walked around the Hero twice, observing her descendant from top to bottom with an expression hard to describe.
"You dress rather well... so saying, my descendants have prospered?"
