Surviving a great disaster_4 40: D15.

Surviving a great disaster_4 The Hero, the Little Girl, and her Guards settled back into the carriage.

Under the coachman’s sowhat weary shouts, the two Chocobos finally started moving again.

In the carriage, the Hero and the Little Girl had beco thoroughly familiar with each other.

The Hero switched places with the Guard, sitting next to the Little Girl, continuing their enjoyable chat.

“What did that White Snake tell you?”

“She said she was just passing by and stopped to rest.”

“Did she ntion where she was heading?”

“She said she had important matters to attend to, but didn’t tell what they were.”

“What Spells do you know?”

“Cough, actually not that many…”

“You’re an Adventurer, so what Magic Creatures have you killed?

Where have you adventured?”

“I’ve seen crabs half the height of a man, and giant statues; that was a desolate battlefield.

But probably not as desolate as the Border.”

“Ohh…” the Little Girl exclaid in amazent.

“And how do you say ‘hello’ in Snake Language?”

“Ssss—”

“I can’t hear any difference.”

“How does it feel to be studying in the Capital?”

“Let tell you, when I was at the Royal Capital Academy…”

The Hero, in reality, might not be as knowledgeable as the Little Girl born in the Border.

However, both were just enjoying the pleasure of their conversation.

The Little Girl first asked tirelessly, then started recounting the many impressive experiences of her short life.

The Hero didn’t bring up any unpleasant tales about Goblins.

Instead, he tried to rember those landscapes he had seen on his adventures and shared them with his companion.

It felt like a return to the old tis.

Although the Hero and the Little Girl seed like they couldn’t run out of things to talk about, feeling ti passed much faster than the day before…

But the Chocobos, whose pace had greatly slowed compared to earlier, couldn’t keep up with their perception, barely managing to run half the day until the skies grew dark, and still, no sign of a station was visible.

“Are we pushing them too hard?”

The Hero snapped back from their enjoyable conversation when she saw it was already dark outside, but they hadn’t actually traveled far.

But seeing the Chocobos almost foaming at the mouth, the Hero still worried.

If they kept running like this, perhaps it was ti for her second Transformation Form.

“Don’t worry, miss, they’re just pretending,” the coachman said expressionlessly as he patted the Chocobos’ backs, eliciting their displeasure imdiately.

“But with this darkness, we really can’t go any further, we’ll need to camp out, sorry for the trouble, gentlen.”

The Guards had no objections.

Without needing the Hero’s help, they naturally prepared everyone’s tents.

After thanking the Guards, the Hero entered her own tent, lay back on the ground, and looked up at the tent top illuminated by the Magic Stone Lamp.

She had made a new friend.

She learned that Magic Creatures also have intelligent and benevolent individuals.

A very, very wonderful day.

Though she was kicked out of her ho and had left the city, not everything that happened was bad.

If she hadn’t started her journey, she wouldn’t have encountered the White Snake or t the girl from the Border.

She even felt a bit…

happy in her heart.

It seems that even when she thought she lost so much and had nothing left, her life could still move forward, and she could still discover new treasures.

My dear friend, how wonderful it would be if I could share all this with you.

The Hero slightly curved her mouth upwards, then closed her eyes.

She knew that even in dreams, she and her close friend could no longer et.

But she hoped to continue moving forward, embracing this longing.

The death of the Goblin, and her own life…

Perhaps, this was the best gift she could give to her departed friend.
