White Bride_2 However, the little girl sitting on the side seed to be having a tough ti, barely taking a few sips before putting down her spoon and leaving to rest with her guard.
As the night deepened and the twin moons rose, the Hero also laid down on the simple single bed in the inn.
Staring at the frosted moonlight outside the window, she felt as if she were in a different world.
Just the day before yesterday, she was lying in a soft, big bed; yesterday she was slaying Goblins, and then, all of a sudden, she embarked on a journey back to the countryside.
The city where she had lived for fourteen years was now completely out of sight.
Now, she was alone in this unfamiliar inn, sleeping with almost all her luggage as her only company.
“So it is…
I have no ho anymore.”
With this belated realization, the Hero covered her head with a not-so-clean blanket, no longer wanting to gaze at the enchanting moonlight.
The first day on the road, thus, passed uneventfully.

On the second day, before dawn, with the sky only slightly brightened, the coachman couldn’t wait to rouse everyone.
“Gentlen and ladies!
Get up, get up!
We have a whole day’s journey ahead of us, or we’ll have to camp out tonight!”
The Hero opened her eyes, almost without a trace of reluctance, and got up straight away.
Although her transformation was into a snake, she herself didn’t have difficulties getting up early, no symptoms of hypotension.
Even before she beca a Hero, her Constitution was much stronger than the children of her age, even more so after she beca a Hero.
She was able to adapt quickly even to sleeping outdoors without a roof, in the wind and rain.
Such minor troubles and the early rise, of course, couldn’t bother her.
Her excessively healthy body, envied by her close friends more than once, might be the only gift she ever received from her parents.
“Ugh…”
But the little girl on the other side was not so robust, being led onto the carriage by the guard with discomfort written all over her face.
“Is she alright?”
Thinking about how she didn’t eat much yesterday and rested early, the Hero asked with so concern, and the coachman also cast a worried glance.
After all, if a passenger falls ill while he’s still pressing on, he’s sure to receive a complaint.
“Thanks for your concern, but our little miss here will just have to endure it.”
One of the guards thanked the Hero, then spoke so what helplessly.
“I’m alright, let’s keep going…” the little girl also said in a feeble tone.
Since the little girl and the guard were insistent, the Hero had no choice but to interfere no further and boarded the carriage.
The coachman cracked his whip, and the Chocobo sprinted out from the inn, and everything seed just like the day before, without any difference.

The Chocobo’s quick steps, the coachman’s occasional yawns, the swaying carriage, the slightly vibrating seats.
Outside the carriage window, the sky was scattered with clouds but not gloomy, and the light was bright enough to see far but not dazzling.
The weather was suitable for travel, just like yesterday’s journey.
The Hero hugged her backpack and dozed off; the guards sat impeccably straight, while the little girl, wrapped in a blanket, leaned uncomfortably against the carriage, her eyes tightly shut.
By tomorrow, she’ll probably have to say goodbye to this little girl, whose na she doesn’t even know.
