Chapter 314: D112.GOTCHA!

The sergeant gave the order, and the soldiers stopped in their tracks, taking a brief rest in front of the watchtower. So removed their heavy equipnt and leaned against the wall or sat on the ground to rest. Others took out simple rations and water bottles to restore their strength. So soldiers ran into the watchtower for a quick relief.

The military mages, still unwilling to give up, gathered to quietly discuss the matter of the curse.

On the vehicle, the Snow Woman showed no intention of getting off.

Although the Snow Woman clan had physiological needs similar to normal humans and gained nutrition through eating, being in the sa compartnt with the Hero, the occasional body contact alone was enough to make the Snow Woman feel so full that her abdon was slightly bloated, thus there was no need to get off the vehicle.

“Do you want to get off and rest?”

Upon hearing her inquiry, the Hero withdrew her gaze from the window and shook her head.

Ever since her constitution had risen to a legendary level, even without entering the Beast Spirit state, her body could transform into magic power and water. In a way, compared to ordinary humans, she had beco more akin to an elental creature, so a bit of travel fatigue did not affect her status.

Although her combat style was usually lee, no matter what, the Beast Spirit Mage was still a type of sorcerer. With the awakening of various abilities, powerful sorcerers often underwent so mysterious changes.

In legends, powerful Dragon Vein Mages could transform themselves into dragons, and theoretically, Beast Spirit Mages could achieve similar feats.

Despite never having thought she could possess a transformation form akin to or even more powerful than a dragon, the Elf Rabbit’s gift made this possibility a reality.

Seeing that the Hero had no intention of getting off, the Snow Woman showed a gentle smile and softly asked,

“Then what does Miss Hero plan to do first when returning to the border?”

“I—” The Hero was about to answer when she suddenly fell into deep thought.

Her pupils slightly widened, her expression turning from serious to relaxed, a sweet and llow scent emanating from her hair.

Do what…

What to do?

What am I doing?

Where do I plan to start?

Eliminate all the goblins at the border?

Is this first or later?

I plan to eliminate all goblins first.

But before eliminating all the goblins, there are prior things to do.

So, what is first, and what is later?

The Hero pondered deeply, entangled in her own thoughts.

There was such a profound question for the current Hero:

If forbidden knowledge had its own life and spirituality, could an unprecedented curse also be regarded as a kind of knowledge?

Knowledge is not rely theories on paper; it is the application in practice, a real and intangible entity.

The hands-on experiences that veteran craftsn could only pass down, unable to be written; the bursts of inspiration that spellcasters experienced in an instant, unable to be replicated; even so rare natural phenona—knowledge was everywhere.

It resided in all things, formless, only converted into words and symbols by humankind for mutual understanding.

And the curse on destiny from the death of the Corrupted Phoenix was indeed a brand-new piece of knowledge never recognized by anyone before.

And so, when the Hero’s eyes gradually lost focus, imrsed in thought, the shadows beneath her seat in the compartnt silently began to wriggle.

This unique knowledge, unknown to the world, accompanied by the honey-like sweet scent emanating from her, spread an alluring fragrance, attracting a special hunter…

This hunting knowledge was—

2. From Grandpa’s place

A potent ntal influence, a strong stimulus to certain magical creatures—if it could be analyzed and transford into a magic technique that could be practically applied, it would undoubtedly be a significant piece in the history of magic.

However, as her grandfather had once told the Hero, hunting knowledge wasn’t a researcher or discoverer; it was purely a custodian—a plunderer.

For things beyond human comprehension, even if hunting knowledge seized them, it couldn’t be disseminated and would ultimately beco a re curse, even backfiring on the hunting knowledge itself.

Even though hunting knowledge was a conceptual elental creature, its status was ultimately not as high as the immortal Phoenix.

Hunting knowledge wriggled in the shadows, hesitating, unsure whether to target the seemingly empty-headed girl as an object of interest.

anwhile, the Snow Woman’s nose twitched slightly, also catching the sudden, intensified sweet scent in the enclosed compartnt.

It was a soothing, light-hearted, pure sweetness that made one involuntarily smile, like bubbles rising in specially crafted honey water, perating with fresh, humid vapor.

However, the Snow Woman’s expression did not beco joyous; it was only relaxed for a mont before her brows furrowed.

Having cared for the Hero for almost a day, she didn’t need further confirmation to realize what had happened.

“Has the curse activated again? It’s too frequent…” She took a light breath and looked at the Hero with a worried and pained expression, ready to make sure she didn’t leave her sight for a mont.

Although the Hero appeared sowhat playfully innocent in this state, the Snow Woman knew in her heart that it was all due to the curse’s influence. Whenever she thought of this, she felt that smiling was so difficult, and the smile that usually surfaced naturally when facing the Hero stiffened.
