Even with a serpent’s head, one would consider this a not so clever decision.
Not to ntion the other Magic Creatures and obstacles in the forest, even on plain ground during the day, pursuing so many Goblins would not be an easy task, especially for close-combat professions.
But the Queen, engulfed in anger, could not be judged by normal standards.
Unmatched Intimidation, impeccable Perception, lethal destructive power—
In the forest shrouded in night, the Hero moved as if in an uninhabited territory, relentlessly killing all the scattered Goblins in an extensive area.
Under such terrifying force, other nocturnal Magic Creatures did not even dare to protest.
But after completing the final kill, the exhausted Queen lost consciousness.
The Gleaming Scale Serpent, who even found it hard to keep up with the Queen and was not good at carrying, could only anxiously guard by her side after finding her.
And delving deeper, when it realized that it and the Queen had mistakenly entered the territory of other powerful Magic Creatures, it was already too late to leave.
The black scales of the Gleaming Scale Serpent bristled, ready to release their srizing brilliance.
In the forest covered with dusk, it vigilantly watched that suddenly appearing, round, deep blue Sli.
The instinct of Magic Creatures reminded it, just like the previous Queen, this was an opponent not to be trifled with.

“Hiss—”
As an inferior Magic Creature, Gleaming Scale Serpent slightly bowed its head, showing respect to the king of this forest.
Although neither in Strength nor in Charm could it ever match one ten-thousandth of the Queen, let alone protecting her with this frail body—
But at least, this desire to protect the Queen, it wouldn’t lose to anyone!
Since Strength wasn’t effective, it would carve out a path through Wisdom!
The pupils of Gleaming Scale Serpent shone with sharp intelligence, ready for its brain to operate at full speed.
Generally speaking, Slis don’t have the brain to process information, their intelligence was even inferior to Goblins, and they wouldn’t understand ssages from other Magic Creatures.
But this Sli King, evolved multiple tis, was naturally not so.
“Blurblbl—”
In its destination, under a tree where a young girl’s chest lightly rose and fell though she had lost consciousness, and a worried and vigilant large serpent whose scales blended into the night.
Watching this scene, the crown on top of the Sli King trembled slightly, as several bubbles suddenly erged from its round, deep blue body.
Not in any language, but the Magic Power inside the Sli King surged into the air, turning into Magic Elent particles containing ssages.
This ant that the Sli King had accurately received the Gleaming Scale Serpent’s respect and responded pleasantly.
The Gleaming Scale Serpent flicked its tongue, protecting the still unconscious Hero behind it while casually conversing with the Sli King.
“Hiss hiss hiss—”
As for the specifics of their conversation, let’s not worry about that for now.

The Sli King was curious.
Regarding what kind of existence it was, it had a clear understanding.
Slis as low-intelligence Magic Creatures, typically acted on instinct.
Apart from special mutations, most Slis, unlike Goblins, do not have any fixation on assaulting humans.
To their almost non-existent brain core, a passing human is no different from a passing rabbit, just a slightly larger block of protein.
And when there is no prey nearby, Slis basically live on Magic Elents, dew, grass leaves, even soil and other inorganics.
Which ans, as long as humans don’t actively approach, Slis’ lifestyle appears very simple and harmless.
Of course, they wouldn’t reject digesting those organics and proteins that actively co close.
For those humans reduced to bones or even completely digested, Slis are not so gentle Magic Creatures.
[Kingdom history: Sli disaster level (Sli King 50, 80 then R8 Sli Emperor appeared)]
D40 50=d40(30) 50=80
But even with intelligence gained, that plain and harmless nature still resided within the Sli King.
That’s why to this day, it has been living peacefully with a human village not too far away.
Even if inherently plain, once intelligence is possessed, it is hard to accept a monotonous life.
The offspring it splits out do not possess the intelligence to communicate with it.
And other Magic Creatures in the forest were only ever adversaries, now rely unilaterally preyed upon by itself.
If not for sheer boredom, it wouldn’t have erged in the dead of night to check out the commotion.
