Bright Sunny Day_4 121: D42.

Bright Sunny Day_4 The Hero shook her head, indicating polite refusal.

She couldn’t speak now, and although she could communicate with the quirky Cruising Bishop through letters, it seed sowhat disrespectful to do so with several distinguished strangers.

She thought it best not to et them.

As she was pondering how to express her apologies, the Cruising Bishop handed her a notebook and a feather pen, along with a money pouch that appeared quite substantial.

“This humble gift represents the sentints of myself and the town’s church.

Please accept it.”

[The Hero received the items: Church Notebook (Thick) LV1, Enchanted Feather Pen (Great Writing) LV3]

Seeing that it wasn’t anything too extravagant and was indeed sothing she needed, the Hero gladly accepted.

“Thank you, but since I’ve been away for so many days, my grandpa at ho will be worried about , so I’ll be heading back.”

She wrote in the notebook.

However, the Hero didn’t seem to notice that the Cruising Bishop had completely placed her above the Mayor and the Guild Leader.

He even felt sorry for those few people.

“Is that so, what a sha, unable to communicate with the Hero of the Holy Sword.

“But this closeness to family, oh, truly worthy of the Hero of the Holy Sword, so pure and touching.”

The Cruising Bishop dramatically wiped the corner of his eye.

“Anyway, I understand.

I will convey your greetings on your behalf.

“Furthermore, I actually anticipated that you might be eager to leave, so I had reminded the Mayor beforehand, and this is the reward for subduing the Goblins, which the Mayor entrusted to pass on to you.”

Then the Cruising Bishop handed over another pouch, surprising the Hero.

[Due to conquering the Goblin Lake Town Dungeon, the Hero received a reward (× Map Level 25)]

D25 5 = d25(6) 5 = 11*25 = 275

[The Hero received money: 275]

[Current assets: 1398]

She didn’t want any money for goblin-slaying—though the Hero wanted to refuse, under the Cruising Bishop’s persuasion, she accepted it.

“Even if you might not need this money, earning compensation after completing a task is proof of a civilized society functioning well.

If you refuse the reward this ti, future people may think that killing Goblins is a task without reward.

Surely you wouldn’t want to see that happen, right?”

One had to admit, the Cruising Bishop’s words made much sense.

“After all, you are the Hero of the Holy Sword, and I’m sure the people of this town also wish to see you receive the reward you deserve.”

“I haven’t even drawn the Holy Sword, so you don’t need to refer to like that.” After putting away the pouch, the Hero couldn’t help but write.

“And besides, why does the Bishop have such respect for ?

I haven’t done anything particularly noteworthy, have I?”

“This is erroneous.

Sotis, a person is esteed not for what remarkable feats they have accomplished but because their way of life and spirit itself are extraordinary and precious.

“Just like gold and earth, while the latter has its value, as mundane as I am, I always favor the forr.”

The Cruising Bishop smiled faintly and bowed slightly.

“I, too, will soon depart for the next pilgrimage land, hoping that the day we et again won’t be too far off, dear Hero.”

After bidding farewell to the Cruising Bishop, the Hero and the Little Girl strolled to the Chocobo Station.

Four Guards and a coachman, whom they hadn’t seen for a long ti, were already there waiting.

The two Chocobos, which had previously brawled over the task of carrying eggs, now stood in unison before the carriage.

Incidentally, having received a thick notebook and a seemingly enchanted feather pen from the Cruising Bishop, the Hero wanted to write sothing on paper but found that her thoughts didn’t flow as smoothly into words as before.

Partings always evoke sadness.

But neither the Hero nor the Little Girl was soone who hesitated.

At that ti, not even a professional, after resolving for revenge, the Hero walked out of the town gate without even a weapon.

And the Little Girl, too, embarked on a distant journey with just four Guards for her father’s birthday celebration, despite her tender age.

“Goodbye, Sister Hero!” After a short silence, the Little Girl raised her head, flashing a wide smile.

The Hero also curved her lips.

“Yes, goodbye.”

She wrote her farewell words in the notebook, tore out the page, and handed it to the Little Girl, watching her carefully fold and keep it.

Then the Hero helped the Little Girl into the carriage, bidding farewell to each of the four Guards.

“Alright, is everyone seated?

Let’s get going!”

The coachman, accustod to such scenarios, shouted as he hastened the reins, while the Hero lightly patted the two Chocobos that were reluctant to take their eyes off her, setting them into motion.

Under the clear sky, the Chocobos gradually accelerated, beginning to sprint.

The Guards and the Little Girl all leaned out of the carriage window, watching the Hero, who waved at them from afar as she grew distant.

The Hero stood still, waving at the friends who continued to watch her until their figures disappeared beyond the horizon.

The Little Girl retracted her head back inside the carriage, and the Hero turned around, stepping forward.

Farewell—until we et again.

I am waiting, eagerly anticipating the arrival of that day.
