553 The night
Li Hua took a breath of relief after seeing Qiu Qizhen. She knew that if there was soone who could stop Lóng Wei now, then that was Qiu Qizhen.
Hei Chengxi’s eyes glistened to see Qizhen after such a long ti. Tears had ford on them and he lowered his eyes in his respect. Qiu Qizhen walked up to Lóng Wei and placed his hands on Lóng Wei’s shoulders.
“Calm down,” Qiu Qizhen asserted.
Lóng Wei held his father’s arm and yanked it away. “I should correct the mistake that you made twenty years ago. Did I not tell you the reasons why you were never suitable to be the King?” Lóng Wei asked Qizhen.
“You are unable to understand the difference between good and bad,” Lóng Wei answered Qizhen.
He took a step back and then turned to go inside the room, where the spies were kept as hostages.
“Your Highness,” Li Hua held his hand and they looked into each other’s eyes. She shook her head, urging him to stop.
“Li Hua, those spies were one of those unknown black masked n, who ca to your house that day. Do you really want to let them live? If Yuze were alive, he would have asked to kill those spies. Do you know why? Because they killed many people all their lives. The survivors left from such victimized families would like to see the killers be dead than being alive,” Lóng Wei explained to her.
Li Hua let go of his arm when Qizhen told him that those spies could be executed later.

Lóng Wei glared at him and went ahead. No one could stop Lóng Wei. Li Hua turned to look at Qizhen and bowed to him.
“Please forgive Prince Lóng Wei. We should trust him. Whatever he does is right,” Li Hua stated.
Qizhen nodded, but as a father, he was still worried for Lóng Wei.
Xiwan was waiting for Lóng Wei in the room. Soon, Lóng Wei arrived at the room where the five spies were tied to the pillars. They were beaten so much that their entire faces, and clothes were covered in blood.
“Rember all the last monts of your lives. If there is any ssage that you want to pass on to your families, then you all can tell . The last thing that I can do for all of you is convey this ssage to your family mbers,” Lóng Wei stated.
“Why di-did Prince Lóng Wei n-not forgive ? H-he has promised that he would let live,” Lin Shicheng said with much difficulty.
“I never promised that,” Lóng Wei said. “You should not have betrayed Qiu Zedong.” He chuckled and took step towards him. Lóng Wei threw the scabbard on the floor.
“You all should not have killed so many innocent people,” Lóng Wei said and he cut all of their throats one after the other. Within a few seconds, the five spies died. “Send their corpses to their families,” he ordered one of the soldiers.
“Where is Qiu Zedong?” Lóng Wei asked as he turned to look at Xiwan.
“Please follow , Your Highness,” Xiwan said and they walked out of the room.
After crossing a corridor, they reached the open yard where in the center, Qiu Zedong was tied with a pole. However, not a single scratch could be seen on his face or hands. Those were Lóng Wei’s orders not to do anything to Qiu Zedong.
“Bring Li Hua and the others here,” Lóng Wei commanded Xiwan, who left. Lóng Wei descended the two stairs to enter the yard.
Qiu Zedong heard the footsteps and raised his head. He then looked at Lóng Wei’s hand which was covered in blood.
“Lóng Wei, why did you do this? You betrayed !” Qiu Zedong questioned with a frown on his forehead.
“Do you rember the night when I ca to you after taking the life of my mother?” Lóng Wei asked.
When Qiu Zedong did not answer, Lóng Wei chuckled. “I told you to give a death sentence. Instead, you decided to keep alive. When I found out what you did to my mother, I decided to turn a blind eye to it. However, when you took Yuze’s life, I knew I would never be able to forgive you. I let you play with my life and modify it in accordance with your will, but you did not stop. Why?” Lóng Wei roared at the end which made Li Hua along with the others halt in their way at the corridor.
Lóng Wei rushed to Qiu Zedong and grabbed him with the collar of the overcoat. “Why did you kill, Yuze?” He shrieked at him.
Li Hua was troubled to see that side of Lóng Wei and she clenched her fists.
“Because he betrayed ,” Qiu Zedong asserted. “How could he dream of making you the next King?” He muttered.
“Yuze thought he was smarter than . I want to make you weaker since Yuze was the one, who turned you this stronger,” Qiu Zedong reasoned.
Lóng Wei let go of Qiu Zedong’s overcoat and hit his head using the hilt of the sword. Qiu Zedong felt severe pain in the left temple of his forehead before getting unconscious.
“We will take him to the palace. I want him to confess all his cris in front of everyone in the palace,” Lóng Wei announced his decision. Qizhen looked at Hei Chengxi and gestured to him to follow what Lóng Wei had said.
“Your Highness, in the palace, the princes will rebel against you. We have yet to take over the palace,” Huang Xi said and quickly walked to him.
“I have taken care of that. Make sure to give him the pill which will keep him unconscious for the next two hours,” Lóng Wei said and turned to gaze at every one of them.
Li Hua was worried thinking about what would happen in the palace. A storm would definitely co into the palace which would affect many lives.
