Yu i’s body trembled as the dark energy around her fluctuated wildly, as if the entity controlling her had sensed the danger.
But Yu Holea remained calm.
"You think that thing behind you actually cares about you?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
"You’re nothing but a vessel. The mont you lose control, it will consu you."
"Shut up!" Yu i scread, but there was a flicker of fear in her eyes.
The dark entity indeed had the power to take over her soul if she failed her task.
But she still has 4 years to complete her task!
The dark entity let out a guttural laugh through Yu i’s lips, its voice layered with sothing unearthly.
"You understand nothing, little girl," it sneered. "This vessel is mine now. And soon, you will be, too."
With that, the shadows around Yu i exploded outward, dark tendrils shooting toward Yu Holea with terrifying speed.
But Yu Holea was faster.
With a flick of her fingers, golden chains materialized around her, intercepting the tendrils in midair.
A brilliant light burst from their collision, shaking the very ground beneath them.
Yu i shrieked as the chains wrapped around her wrists, burning through the darkness like fire against paper.
"Let go of !" she screeched, struggling violently, but the golden light only grew stronger.
"You’re not fighting , Yu i," Yu Holea said, stepping closer, her voice softer now. "You’re fighting yourself."
Yu i’s breath hitched.
"No..." she whispered, shaking her head frantically. "No, you’re lying!"
"You still have a choice," Yu Holea continued, her voice unwavering. "Reject it. Take back control before it’s too late."
The dark entity inside Yu i hissed angrily, its form writhing as the golden light seeped into its essence.
"She is mine!" it howled. "She called for ! She gave herself willingly!"
Yu i’s body shook violently, her expression contorting as if she was fighting an internal battle.
For a brief mont, her eyes cleared—her real eyes, filled with raw, desperate emotion.
"Help ..." she whispered.
Yu Holea didn’t hesitate.
She raised her hand, and the golden chains tightened, sending a wave of purifying light through Yu i’s body.
The entity let out a bloodcurdling scream as the shadows were ripped away from Yu i’s form, dispersing into the night like smoke.
Yu i collapsed to her knees, gasping for breath.

"The dark contract is taking a toll on you. Don’t worry; you will not die." Yu Holea reassured, "You have killed Old Madam Yu; if you don’t get punished accordingly, it will be a pity."
Yu i’s breath hitched, her mind racing in panic. She knows...?
Her fingers dug into her arms as the burning pain intensified, the black markings twisting like living serpents across her skin.
The weight of her past sins pressed down on her like an unmovable mountain.
"You... You’re lying!" Yu i spat, her voice hoarse. "I-I never—"
Yu Holea tilted her head, a cold glint in her eyes. "You never what?" she asked, her voice quiet but sharp.

"My subordinates have already collected the evidence of all the misdeed you have committed in the past half year."
Yu i was in a coma for 3 years.
When she woke up, the first thing she did was to kill 20 people, as the Dark entity behind Yu i asked for sothing as interest.
The luck of those 20 people was average, and hence, no one paid attention to the matter, but Yu Holea’s subordinates who were paying attention to Yu i tried to find as much evidence as they could.
But since the 20 people were orphans and hardly had any presence, it was difficult to collect evidence.

"Ah," Yu Holea mused, "and yet, you didn’t stop after the first ti, did you? No, Yu i, you enjoyed it."
The crowd recoiled, horror painted on their faces.
A noblewoman gasped. "She’s a monster!"
A man clenched his fists. "She should be executed!"
Yu i trembled.
She couldn’t let it end like this.
Her gaze darted around wildly, looking for a way out.
There was only one option left.
With all her remaining strength, Yu i lunged at Yu Holea, her nails sharpening into claws as she aid for her throat.
But Yu Holea didn’t even flinch.
The golden chains that had bound Yu i before reappeared instantly, wrapping around her limbs like venomous vines.
Yu i scread as the chains burned into her skin, forcing her to the ground.
"It’s over," Yu Holea said, her voice final.
Yu i panted, her body shuddering in pain.
"You... You don’t understand... I still have ti... I still have four years!"
"Four years? But the entity who gave you ti has already been defeated." Yu Holea chuckled. "I have called the special forces, and you will be dealt with."
Without the entity’s protection, without her power, the consequences of her deeds were finally coming for her.
Just as the golden chains constricted tighter around Yu i, sealing her fate, a sudden wave of ominous, suffocating energy engulfed the area.
Then, it struck.
A massive pulse of dark energy surged outward, swallowing the entire courtyard.

The guests, less fortunate, crumpled instantly to the ground.
