Qiao Jun rolled his eyes.

Did his ex-best friend truly think he would let him go? How naive!

But before that, he must ensure that Rong Xue gives up completely.

Suddenly he thought of a woman who loved Rong Xue the most, and an evil smirk appeared on his face.

Without hesitation, he sent a ssage to her. Just then he received a ssage from his subordinates.

Aunt Mila’s cris were confird and in the end, she was going to be executed for using black magic and trying to swap out souls.

Even the celestial master she had hired was sentenced for the next 100 years.

As for Vivian, her punishnt was relatively light. She was sentenced to 4 years.

Uncle Miller too was given a life sentence in jail.

Qiao Jun calmly looked at the line where it was ntioned that based on Vivian’s behavior her punishnt may vary.

Thinking of the small girl who used to follow him around and call him second cousin, Qiao Jun felt uncomfortable.

He always saw Vivian as his sister.

A question appeared in his mind. What if his cousin hadn’t died? Then maybe Aunt Mila would have never fallen to the point where she would commit such a grave mistake.

She might have never taught Vivian that she(Vivian) loved Qiao Jun.

Qiao Jun’s eyes moistened slightly.

He didn’t feel guilt for sending his relatives to jail but he didn’t feel thrilled too. The reality of life can be sotis crushing too.

Does he miss his beautiful and vibrant aunt and cute cousin who used to follow him around?

Yes.

But the people had changed and the people he loved were just mory now.

Qiao Jun’s heart was heavy. Just then Yu Holea’s voice sounded,

"What happened?"

Qiao Jun turned to Yu Holea and seeing her awake, he hugged her and said softly,

"Nothing."

He loved his Lea the most and couldn’t see her suffer.

Yu Holea was drowsy, but when she heard Qiao Jun’s slightly vulnerable voice, her drowsiness vanished instantly.

Thinking Qiao Jun was still thinking about Rong Xue’s words, she hugged him and patted his back,

"Don’t think much. Just go back to sleep."

"Hmm." Qiao Jun nodded.

...................

The next day.

Yu Holea woke up and got the news from her subordinate. The revenge plan was set in motion.

A smirk appeared on Yu Holea’s face and she said in a soft voice,

"Dear sister, let’s see whether you will still have ti to sche after this news."

The internet buzzed with a breaking story that shook the public and the corporate world alike. The headline read:

"Mr. Yu’s Shocking Secret: Yu i Confird as Illegitimate Daughter!"

Social dia platforms exploded with reactions as news outlets reported on the scandal.

A leaked docunt, corroborated by an unnad but credible source, revealed the decades-old secret.

The timing of the leak seed deliberate, and its implications were seismic.

On a popular online forum, users debated the revelation heatedly:

"I knew sothing was off! Why else would Mr. Yu always favor Yu i over his actual daughter, Yu Holea? Disgusting."

"I feel bad for Yu Holea. Imagine being sidelined by your own father for an illegitimate sibling. What a betrayal."

"Honestly, I underestimated Mr. Yu. He acted like he was fair and professional, but it’s clear where his loyalties lie."

"Humans are so fake. The mask always slips eventually."

"Why is everyone acting shocked? This kind of thing happens all the ti in rich families. Secrets, lies, favoritism—it’s all part of the package."

In the office of Yu Corporation, employees whispered nervously among themselves, careful not to be overheard.

"Did you see the news? I can’t believe it," one junior employee said, scrolling through her phone.

"Who would’ve thought Yu i was illegitimate? No wonder Mr. Yu gave her so much leverage in the company," her colleague replied.

A third employee joined in, shaking his head. "This is going to tarnish the company’s reputation. Investors hate scandals like this."

Mr. Yu sat in his private study, his face pale as he watched the headlines scroll across his computer screen.

His phone rang incessantly—calls from board mbers, reporters, and even family friends demanding explanations.

He ignored them all, his hands trembling as he clicked on the leaked docunt.

"How could this have gotten out?" he muttered to himself, slamming his fist on the desk.

A knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. It was Yu i, her face flushed with anxiety.

"Father, what do we do? Everyone is talking about it," she said, her voice cracking.

She had already known that she was Mr. Yu’s illegitimate child but thought no one would ever know of her secret.

Now that everyone knew about her secret, Yu i wanted to smash everything around her.

Mr. Yu rubbed his temples, his head pounding from the relentless pressure of the scandal.

"I don’t know how this got out," he muttered, his voice low and strained.

Yu i stood before him, fidgeting nervously, her lips pressed into a tight line. She bit her lower lip, hesitation evident in her posture before she finally spoke.

"Father... what if it was Yu Holea?" she suggested cautiously, her voice trembling just enough to sound unsure.

Mr. Yu’s head snapped up, his eyes narrowing.

"Yu Holea? Why would she—" He stopped mid-sentence, realization dawning on him. His jaw tightened, and he slamd his hand on the desk.

"How would she even know about this?" he demanded, his tone sharp.

Yu i flinched but quickly composed herself, her mind racing. She took a few seconds before answering, trying to appear as though she was carefully piecing it together.

"It must be Qiao Jun," she said finally, her voice growing firr.

"Qiao Jun!" Mr. Yu growled, his teeth grinding audibly.

"That little snake," he hissed. "He must be the one pulling the strings behind the scenes."

Yu i watched her father’s reaction carefully, a flicker of satisfaction in her eyes.

But she quickly masked it with a worried expression, stepping closer to him.

"Father, we can’t let them ruin us like this," she said urgently.

"We need to act. If they’re willing to play dirty, we have to strike back."

Mr. Yu leaned back in his chair, glaring at the screen in front of him.

"And what do you propose we do, Yu i? This ss is already out there. The damage is done."

Yu i’s eyes sparkled with a dangerous glint as an idea ford in her mind.

She stepped closer, lowering her voice as if sharing a secret.

"We can redirect the bla," she said, her tone calculated.

"We’ll make it look like Qiao Jun orchestrated this to gain leverage over the family. We can plant evidence—fake emails, transactions—anything that ties him to the leak.

If the public sees him as a manipulator, they’ll turn against him."

Mr. Yu stared at her, his expression a mix of disbelief and intrigue.

"And how exactly do you plan to execute this?" he asked skeptically.

Yu i smiled faintly, her confidence growing.

"Leave that to . I’ll make sure the story spreads subtly, through unofficial channels. By the ti anyone questions it, the narrative will already be set.

Qiao Jun will be the villain, and we’ll erge as victims of his scheming."

Mr. Yu remained silent for a mont, his fingers tapping against the desk as he considered her proposal. Finally, he nodded.

"Do it," he said firmly. "But make sure there’s no way it can be traced back to us. If this blows up in our faces, we’re finished."

Yu i’s smile widened, though she kept it restrained.

"Don’t worry, Father. I’ll handle everything. By the ti I’m done, Qiao Jun won’t even know what hit him."

As she left the study, her mind was already working overti, plotting the details of her plan. She would not let Yu Holea or Qiao Jun take everything away from her.

If they wanted to play dirty, she would show them how vicious she could be.

Just then Mr. Yu called Yu i back and said,

"Yu Holea used to get involved with thugs too right? Try to get evidence of that too and hire so thug to ruin Yu Holea’s innocence.

We will later paint it as she is a wild person and loves to play around. Then shift the narrative and tell everyone that she had seduced Qiao Jun even before she turned 18 and now she is directing Qiao Jun to spread rumors about us."

Yu i froze montarily, her father’s words sinking in.

For a mont she almost wanted to clap and tell her father that he was indeed her father.

"That’s... clever, Father," she said, her voice steady despite the storm of thoughts in her mind.

"It would completely destroy her credibility. I’ll make the arrangents."

Mr. Yu leaned forward, his piercing gaze locking onto hers.

"Be thorough. Leave no loose ends. Yu Holea and Qiao Jun have been a thorn in our side for too long. It’s ti they learn who they’re dealing with."
