Publicly announcing the truth could have destroyed their futures. I chose to handle the matter privately, thinking it was in everyone’s best interests. In hindsight, perhaps that was a mistake."

The room grew tense.

So reporters scribbled notes, while others scrutinized Mr. Yu’s deanor for cracks in his story.

A final reporter stood, speaking loudly enough to catch everyone’s attention.

"Mr. Yu, the Yu Family is one of the wealthiest and most powerful in the region.

Isn’t it convenient that all of this is coming to light after Old Mrs. Yu’s death when she cannot corroborate or refute your claims?"

Mr. Yu narrowed his eyes slightly, his tone sharp but asured.

"That is an unfair insinuation. My mother was a noblewoman who valued family above all else. She wanted nothing more than harmony in this household.

Her death was a tragedy, and I refuse to let baseless accusations tarnish her mory. The timing of these revelations is unfortunate, but unavoidable."

The room erupted into murmurs. Mr. Yu took a calculated pause, letting his words linger before continuing.

"I understand that so of you may doubt my intentions. That is your right as a journalist. But my decisions are guided by love for my family and the legacy of the Yu na.

I have provided evidence to support my claims and will answer further questions at a later press conference."

With that, Mr. Yu stood up and left.

Yu Holea glanced at the video with a smirk on her face.

In the entire interview, Mr. Yu focused on justifying his second announcent rather than remorsing for his mother.

Yu Holea wondered whether Old Madam Yu’s soul would rest in peace if she saw how the two people whom she treated the best in the entire world behaved after her death.

But then again...she might not have that chance considering her soul was absorbed by the devil Yu i was worshipping.

Yes, she knew everything.

Thanks to Qiao Jun she got to see the entire scene, while her subordinates gave her an overview of what Mr. Yu and Yu i were going to do.

Due to Mr. Yu’s interview, the netizens started to berate Yu Holea.

Since Yu Holes didn’t actually harm Old Madam Yu, the police weren’t involved, but the netizens with a strong sense of justice started to boycott Yu Holea.

Mr. Yu and Yu i chose their words very carefully. They showed Old Mrs. Yu’s death was caused by Yu Holea but indirectly.

The netizens were provoked by it and started to write hate speech.

Water Army: "God, thank god she was switched at birth. Her grandmother died due to excessive anger. God knows how her parents would have died if she truly stayed with them for 15 years."

Water Army: "I used to be her fan, but now I hate her!"

Water Army: "I initially thought that she had suffered injustice by suffering for 15 years but now I think it is good that she was swapped."

CandleNight: "Hey! Is it just ...but I seem to see all the hate comntators’ IDs as water army?"

Marchingtonight: "Trust , brother I can see it too."

CakeIsNotCool: "Is it possible that they are all water army hired by the Yu Family and soone is exposing their true na?"

The netizens realized this anomaly too and were stunned.

They started to check out all the other trending news and were surprised to see the sa scenario.

Curious they checked the profiles of the comntators and realized that those hate comntators were indeed a water army.

So of the sharp and curious lon eaters hurriedly dug up information on the water army and soon the trending hashtags were changed.

#TheYuFamilyHiredWaterArmyToRuinYuHolea’sNa

#WaterArmyExposed

#TheConsipiracyBehindMr.Yu’sInterview

The sudden change in the trending searches dumbfounded Yu Holea. Suddenly she got a call from Qiao Jun.

Smugness was dripping in his tone as he asked,

"Did you see the trending searches?"

"I did...Wait you were the one who exposed those water army?" Yu Holea asked curiously.

Qiao Jun chuckled on the other end of the line, his tone dripping with satisfaction.

"Of course, I was. Did you think I’d sit back and let them sar your na without consequences?

The Yu family may think they’re untouchable, but even the tallest tree can be felled with the right tools."

Yu Holea leaned back in her chair, a small smile tugging at her lips.

"I have to admit, I didn’t expect you to act so quickly. I thought you’d let handle it."

"You underestimate how much I despise people who manipulate public opinion with lies," Qiao Jun replied.

"Their arrogance makes them sloppy. It wasn’t hard to trace the water army back to the Yu family’s PR team."

Yu Holea’s smile widened, though her tone remained cautious.

"That’s impressive, but won’t this provoke them to escalate things? Mr. Yu and Yu i aren’t the type to back down easily."

"Let them escalate," Qiao Jun said smoothly.

"The more they do, the more mistakes they’ll make. Their desperation will be their downfall. Besides, I’ve already set the stage for their next blunder."

Her curiosity piqued, Yu Holea sat up straighter.

"What do you an?"

"You’ll see soon enough," Qiao Jun replied cryptically.

"For now, just sit back and watch the show. The truth has a way of surfacing, and the Yu family is about to drown in it."

Yu Holea hurriedly interrupted, her voice was filled with warning,

"Hey! Hey! Don’t take things too far! Don’t ruin the trap I had planned for the past 3 years!"

Qiao Jun chuckled,

"Don’t worry, I won’t go too far. After all, he is my father-in-law, it is only natural to give a small gift to him as a son-in-law."

Yu Holea rolled her eyes, "Who said you that you are the son-in-law? You haven’t even beco my boyfriend yet."

Qiao Jun said in a soft and coaxing voice, "Holea, baby, I am sorry~ I promise to not repeat my mistake again! If I dare to...I will be a puppy in the future!"

"I don’t belive any man whose na starts with J." Yu Holea muttered.

Qiao Jun sensing the topic was going in a dangerous zone hurriedly asked,

"Are you going out today? Can I accompany you?"

Thinking about a particularly bad boy cat, Yu Holea’s heart lted, but she still wasn’t done with Qiao Jun’s punishnt, so in a calm voice she said,

"Anyways, I am going for a photoshoot today. I don’t want any human but I will appreciate it if a cat can accompany ."

Qiao Jun’s heart bubbled with jealous. How he wished, he was a cat and could accompany her...wait!

His eyes shone as if understanding the implication behind Yu Holea’s words and suddenly asked,

"Wifey, you an I can accompany you as long as I am in my cat form?"

Yu Holea didn’t agree or disagree, instead, she pretended as if she was in a hurry, "I will talk with you later." And with that, she hung up.

In a good mood she entered the shower.

anwhile, at the Yu Corporation...

Yu i stord into Mr. Yu’s office, her carefully constructed façade of grief crumbling in private.

"Father! Have you seen the new trending hashtags? They’re calling us out for hiring a water army!"

Mr. Yu, seated behind his massive oak desk, looked up from his tablet, his expression grim. "Yes, I’ve seen it. This wasn’t part of the plan."

"Of course, it wasn’t!" Yu i snapped, her frustration bubbling over. "How did they even find out? We were so careful!"

Mr. Yu set the tablet down, rubbing his temples.

"Soone must have leaked the information. It’s possible we have a mole in the PR team. Or worse, soone from the outside—soone with resources—is targeting us."

Yu i’s eyes narrowed.

Around Yu Holea, other than Qiao Jun there was hardly any powerful person...so...

"It has to be Qiao Jun. He’s the only one who would go this far for Yu Holea. That man has always been a thorn in our side."

Mr. Yu leaned back in his chair, his gaze calculating.

"If it’s Qiao Jun, then we need to shift our strategy. He’s too powerful to confront directly, but we can use his involvent to our advantage. The public won’t take kindly to a man ddling in a family’s private matters."

Yu i nodded, her mind already racing with ideas.

"If we fra him as the mastermind behind this ’exposure,’ we can paint him as manipulative—soone who’s using his influence to twist the narrative for personal gain."

Since Qiao Jun can’t beco hers then...he can just be ruined...

Mr. Yu smirked, a glint of approval in his eyes.

"Exactly. We’ll need to act fast, though. The longer this scandal drags on, the more damage it does to our reputation."

Yu i straightened, determination hardening her features.

"Leave it to . I’ll make sure the public sees Qiao Jun for what we want them to see."
