Yu i felt a strange thrill run through her at the thought of this man, a cold and seemingly indifferent force, now standing in her domain.

She recalled the rumors of Yu Holea breaking down in public after the engagent was annulled.

But Qiao Jun had remained unshaken, untouched by the emotional storm around him.

His calmness, in contrast to Yu Holea’s devastation, had made the news a sensation.

As her mind whirred with possibilities, a thought took root in her mind. What if I could have him?

Yu i’s lips curled into a subtle smile.

She knew Qiao Jun was far more influential—and richer—than Leng Huan. Leng Huan, with all his wealth, was still only a stepping stone but Qiao Jun... was soone who could give her everything she wanted and more.

Yu i took a slow step forward, her movents fluid and graceful as she allowed her charm to seep into her deanor.

She tilted her head slightly, her eyes locking with his, her voice soft and coy.

"Mr. Qiao," she said, letting the words hang in the air, "we’ve never t before, but I’m sure we could discuss so... business. After all, we have a lot in common, don’t we?"

She paused, allowing her words to linger, making sure he caught the double aning behind her invitation.

Yu i’s eyes traced the sharp angles of his face, her smile growing ever so slightly. She wasn’t in a hurry. She knew how to play the ga.

Qiao Jun stood motionless for a mont, his icy blue gaze never leaving hers.

There was an unreadable expression in his eyes, but Yu i could see a flicker of sothing there—amusent? Disinterest? It was hard to tell.

"Business, huh?" he finally replied, his voice smooth, though there was a hint of sothing colder behind it.

"I’m afraid I’m not interested in that. I’m just here to collect the debts owed to ."

"What type of debts is Mr. Qiao talking about?" Yu i asked as she slowly kneeled, letting her cleavage show.

Qiao Jun averted his gaze calmly and said in a cold voice,

"You are going to harm my lover, of course, I will collect debts from you."

Yu i paused, she raised an eyebrow and asked with confusion,

"What?"

"You are planning to fra my fiance by making her offend a big shot, aren’t you Miss i?" Qiao Jun asked with conviction in his tone.

Yu i froze the confident smirk on her face faltering as Qiao Jun’s icy words pierced through the air.

"You’ve already broken off the engagent with Yu Holea," she blurted out, her voice uncharacteristically shaky.

"Why do you care what happens to her?"

Qiao Jun chuckled, the sound low and mocking.

He crossed his arms, his sharp features illuminated under the dim light of the room, making him look even more imposing.

"Why do I care?" he repeated, his tone almost amused. His piercing blue eyes locked onto hers with a dangerous intensity.

"Because I love her."

Yu i’s lips parted in disbelief. Her mind reeled.

Love? The word seed alien when applied to soone as cold and composed as Qiao Jun.

She scoffed, shaking her head. "You expect to believe that?" she said, regaining so of her composure.

"If you loved her, why would you break off the engagent in the first place? Doesn’t add up, Mr. Qiao."

Qiao Jun’s gaze didn’t waver. "I don’t have to explain myself to you," he said flatly, his voice void of any emotion.

Yu i’s shock quickly turned to defiance. She straightened her posture and let out a low chuckle, her eyes narrowing.

"Oh, I see what this is," she said, her voice dripping with mockery.

"You’re just using Yu Holea as a shield. You don’t love her. In fact..." Her smile turned coy as she leaned slightly closer.

"You’re here because you want . Admit it."

A flicker of disgust passed over Qiao Jun’s face. He stepped back slightly, his cold expression hardening.

"I don’t waste ti entertaining delusions," he said, his tone sharp and dismissive.

Then, turning to his bodyguards, he issued a single, chilling command. "Teach her a lesson."

Yu i’s eyes widened as the n began to advance toward her.

Instinctively, she backed away, raising her hands defensively.

"Don’t do anything funny," she warned, her voice rising in panic. "I swear, I’ll—"

But Qiao Jun simply chuckled, the sound devoid of humor.

His re presence seed to sap the confidence from her as he motioned to his n to continue.

The first bodyguard lunged at her, but Yu i, her fear giving way to desperation, summoned a surge of dark energy into her palm.

With a cry of rage, she hurled a crackling black energy ball at the approaching man, sending him flying back into the wall with a thud.

The remaining bodyguards paused montarily, startled by the display of power.

Yu i smirked, her confidence returning to full force as she raised another swirling orb of black energy.

"Is this the best you’ve got, Qiao Jun?" she sneered, her voice dripping with mockery.

"No wonder Yu Holea needs soone like you to protect her. She’s too weak to stand on her own. What a pathetic excuse for a woman."

Qiao Jun’s face remained impassive, but there was a flicker of sothing dark in his eyes—disdain, perhaps, or anger.

He said nothing, rely gesturing for his bodyguards to continue.

The n hesitated for a mont before regrouping and advancing on Yu i again.

She fought back fiercely, hurling energy attacks at them, her laughter echoing through the room as she taunted them.

But her overconfidence proved to be her downfall.

One of the bodyguards managed to evade her attack and struck her square in the side, sending her sprawling to the ground.

Before she could recover, another delivered a sharp kick to her abdon, knocking the wind out of her.

Yu i gasped, the pain radiating through her body.

Her earlier bravado crumbled as she looked up at Qiao Jun, her lip trembling. "Wait," she said, her voice trembling. "Stop. Let’s talk."

Qiao Jun remained silent, watching her struggle with an unreadable expression.

"I-I get it, okay?" she stamred, desperation creeping into her tone.

"You’re angry. I get it. But this... this is unnecessary." Her eyes darted between the bodyguards and Qiao Jun, calculating her next move.

Then, with a seductive smirk that didn’t quite reach her eyes, she pushed herself up slightly, leaning on her elbows.

"You know," she began, her voice turning low and sultry, "if you want sothing from , there are... better ways to get it."

Her aning was unmistakable. She batted her lashes, her gaze eting his in what she hoped was an enticing challenge.

For a mont, there was silence. Then, Qiao Jun laughed—a cold, cruel sound that sent chills down her spine.

"Pathetic," he said, his tone dripping with disdain.

"You think you can barter your way out of this with your body?" He stepped forward, his presence towering over her as he addressed his n. "Make sure she learns her place."

Yu i’s eyes widened in horror as the bodyguards closed in on her once more.

This ti, the blows ca harder, more relentless.

She tried to fight back, summoning another energy ball, but her strength was waning.

The pain overwheld her, and her screams echoed through the room.

Qiao Jun stood by the door, his arms crossed, watching impassively as his n carried out his orders.

There was no satisfaction in his gaze, only cold resolve.

"Next ti you think about harming Yu Holea," he said quietly, almost to himself, "rember this."

Yu i’s flashed with hatred but she didn’t dare to open her mouth and pretended as if she had fainted.

Qiao Jun continued,

"I know you can hear . Let make it clear, if you dare to continue with your plan, I will personally destroy your career in the entertainnt industry, and make your Yu family go bankrupt, even your father won’t be able to save himself."

Yu i’s eyes flew open and she glared at Qiao Jun,

"Why the f*ck are you suddenly being so an?"

It wasn’t her first ti ssing with Yu Holea. But it was Qiao Jun’s first ti harming her.

"Second ti." Qiao Jun corrected her,

"I have hard you a second ti. The first ti I had hired a truck man and almost had you sent to the gates of hell. Oh and let tell you whatever you do to Lea, I will return it a hundred folds."

Yu i gnashed her teeth and muttered,

"Crazy! Crazy! Qiao Jun, you shouldn’t intervene in the matter between and Yu Holea otherwise you will have to pay for it too.

I was in a coma for 3 years because of the car accident plotted by you, but don’t forget you were in a coma for 3 years too."

Qiao Jun chuckled,

"That? Don’t worry, now even if I kill you, I won’t face any retribution. The only reason I didn’t kill you because my darling wanted to play with you for a while."
