The shadowy aura twisted and coiled, its form taking shape—a grotesque, snarling visage with hollow, glowing eyes.

"No," Mila whispered, her voice barely audible. "No, this isn’t possible..."

Qiao Jun stepped back, his expression grim.

"There’s your proof, Aunt Mila. That thing—" he pointed at the dark entity—"is what you’ve been nurturing. It’s not your son. It never was."

The dark spirit let out a guttural snarl, its glowing eyes locking onto Aunt Mila.

"You..." it hissed, its voice echoing with malice. "You were so easy to deceive. So desperate. So weak."

Mila stumbled back, her hands trembling.

"No! No, you’re lying! You’re lying!"

The spirit laughed, a cruel, grating sound that filled the chamber.

"Lying? Oh, no, Mila. I owe you my existence. You called here. You gave everything I needed to take his place. And now, you’ve lost him forever."

Mila dropped to her knees, her face pale as the truth crashed down on her. Tears stread down her face as she shook her head, mumbling incoherently.

"No... no... it can’t be..."

Qiao Jun crossed his arms, his voice cutting through the spirit’s taunts.

"Your obsession blinded you, Aunt Mila. You ignored the warnings. You let your grief make you reckless. And now, this is the result."

The spirit hissed and lunged toward Qiao Jun, but the holy water’s lingering glow ford a barrier, repelling it with a sizzle.

"This isn’t over," it growled, its form flickering.

"Oh, it’s very over," Qiao Jun said, his voice icy. "You’ve been exposed. And now, you’ll be dealt with."

Before the evil spirit could realize what was happening, Qiao Jun threw out 10 Exorcism talismans at Vivian.

’Vivian’ tried to dodge but the talisman was as if having eyes stuck right at her. ’Vivian’

As the exorcism talismans struck the writhing, dark entity that had overtaken Vivian’s form, they ignited in a blaze of golden light.

Black smoke erupted from Vivian’s body, the evil spirit shrieking as it was forced out, piece by piece until it dissipated entirely in a burst of radiant energy.

Vivian collapsed to the ground, unconscious but alive, her body now free of the malevolent presence.

Aunt Mila remained on her knees, her face ashen and her body trembling.

The weight of her failures and the horrifying revelation about her son had utterly broken her.

Bruno stepped forward,

"Mila," he said, his voice firm but laced with sorrow, "your ti is up. You’re under arrest for treason, abduction, and conspiracy to endanger innocent lives."

Aunt Mila didn’t resist. Her shoulders slumped as the final remnants of her defiance drained away.

She allowed herself to be cuffed, staring blankly at the floor as Bruno’s officers took her away.

Celestial Master Huo, who had been standing silently in the background, suddenly moved.

With a flick of her wrist, she attempted to cast a spell, a shimring distortion appearing around her.

But Bruno’s team was prepared.

They activated a suppression array, and in monts, the shimring spell shattered.

She scowled, realizing her escape attempt had failed.

"So, you’ve thought of everything," she muttered, her voice venomous.

Qiao Jun stepped forward, his cold, piercing gaze locking onto her. His voice was low and commanding as he asked,

"Why did you want to harm Yu Holea? What did she ever do to you?"

Celestial Master Huo’s lips curled into a mocking smile. She laughed—a sharp, unsettling sound that echoed in the chamber.

"Harm her?" she sneered.

"That girl dared to ddle in affairs beyond her comprehension. And she’ll pay for it. I’m not your biggest concern, Qiao Jun.

She’s provoked soone far more powerful than I am. A storm is coming for her."

Qiao Jun’s glare hardened, his jaw tightening.

"I don’t care who they are," he said firmly. "If anyone dares to harm Yu Holea, I’ll crush them. All of them."

Celestial Master Huo chuckled darkly, but she didn’t respond.

She rely allowed herself to be restrained, the mocking smile never leaving her face as she was led away alongside Aunt Mila.

Vivian, groaning softly as she regained consciousness, was cuffed as well.

Though her role had been more as a pawn than a conspirator, her involvent was enough to warrant arrest as an accomplice.

Within monts, the room was cleared.

Qiao Jun stood there for a long ti. Just as he was about to leave, his phone buzzed.

He glanced at the screen and saw Olivia’s na flashing.

He answered the call, his voice calm but wary. "Olivia?"

"Qiao Jun!" Olivia’s cheerful tone was a sharp contrast to the somber mood.

"Good news! Uncle Miller has been arrested too."

"Oh?" Qiao Jun asked.

"Well," Olivia began, her voice carrying a mix of excitent and satisfaction, "a few hours ago after Uncle Miller left his mansion, he made an attempt on Philip’s life.

But we were ready for him. Special Forces intervened just in ti. They don’t usually involve themselves in matters like this.

However just as you said. We had to prove that Uncle Miller was using forbidden powers to win against Philip. Once we provided evidence to the Special Forces, they agreed to step in. It was a risky move."

"But we didn’t have many options. And it worked perfectly. Uncle Miller walked right into the trap. Normally, Aunt Mila would’ve stepped in to smooth things over and get him out of trouble, but..." Qiao Jun trailed off.

"She’s in custody now," Olivia finished his sentence.

"Exactly," Qiao Jun said. "Without her influence, he has no one to bail him out. He’s done for."

Qiao Jun allowed himself a small smile, though his expression remained guarded.

"Good work, Olivia."

Olivia’s voice softened on the other end of the line, tinged with genuine gratitude.

"Qiao Jun, I just wanted to say... thank you. Without your ideas and strategies, I wouldn’t have been able to deal with all of Uncle Miller’s subordinates. They were a nightmare to handle."

Qiao Jun chuckled, his tone warm but teasing.

"Don’t give too much credit. You did most of the hard work. Besides, I owed you one after you went through all that trouble undoing the blood ritual on . That couldn’t have been easy."

"It wasn’t," Olivia admitted, her voice light with humor but carrying an undertone of weariness.

"But don’t read too much into it. I only did it because she asked to. I owe her a favor."

At the ntion of Yu Holea, Qiao Jun’s expression softened, a pang of longing gripping his chest.

He fell silent for a mont, and Olivia, perceptive as ever, caught on.

"Thinking about her again, aren’t you?" she asked gently.

Qiao Jun sighed, a wry smile tugging at his lips.

"I can’t help it."

It’s been months since he held her. Months since they’ve been able to sit down, talk, or... just be together. And it’s all because of them.

His voice darkened, his tone turning cold.

"Aunt Mila, Vivian... they turned everything upside down. They’re the reason my wifey was angry with . And now, I can’t even see her."

"Qiao Jun," Olivia said, her tone thoughtful, "she loves you. You know that, right? She’ll co around. You just need to give her ti."

"I know," Qiao Jun murmured.

"But ti doesn’t make this easier. I miss her more every day."

His hand tightened into a fist, resolve hardening in his eyes.

"I’ll make sure Aunt Mila and Vivian regret everything they’ve done. I’ll punish them so thoroughly that no one will dare to even think about hurting Yu Holea again."

Aunty Mila will be locked up for the rest of her miserable life, but that’s not enough. He’ll ask so people to take extra care of her inside the jail. She deserves nothing less.

The sa goes for Vivian.

Olivia’s voice broke through his dark musings, pulling him back.

"Just don’t lose yourself in revenge, Qiao Jun. Yu Holea wouldn’t want that. You’re doing all this to protect her, not to beco like the people we’re fighting against."

Her words struck a chord, and Qiao Jun exhaled slowly, nodding to himself.

"You’re right," he said. "But I’ll still make sure they pay. Justice isn’t negotiable."

Olivia let out a soft laugh.

"You’re as stubborn as ever. But that’s why you’ll win in the end."

Qiao Jun managed a small smile.

"Thanks, Olivia. For everything."

"Don’t ntion it," she replied.

"And hey, don’t give up. You’ll be back in Yu Holea’s arms soon enough."

The call ended, leaving Qiao Jun alone with his thoughts.

The longing for Yu Holea tugged at him like an ache he couldn’t ignore.

Her laughter, her warmth, the way she fit perfectly against him when they cuddled—it had all been too long.

He couldn’t wait to see her again, to remind her how much she ant to him.

.......

In Yu Holea’s Villa.

Yu Holea was sleeping. Her brows were furrowed as if she was in pain. Her hands were clutching the blanket and she kept on shaking her head as if she was running away from sothing.
