What Yu Holea didn’t know was, that when Yu Sicong found her in an unconscious state with high fever, he was in full-on panic mode.
He had lifted her into a princess hug and walked into his private villa while instructing everyone in a loud voice,
"Bring towels. Call Doctor Hu. Get so clothes ready. Also, call the head maid to change Young Miss’s clothes."
That was the day the servants of the villa, realized how much Yu Sicong valued her.
He stayed by her side for entire 3 days and personally took care of her.
Even a slight mistake of mistreating Yu Holea would lead the servants to get fired.
Yu Sicong even neglected his own health.
He was tensed when Yu Holea didn’t regain consciousness even after 3 days and asked Doctor Hu with a crazy look,
"What happened? Why is my sister not waking up?"
Panic and fear were visible in his eyes.
Yu Sicong was truly filled with fear.
He feared that Yu Holea wouldn’t wake up and her body would turn cold just like it did, in his dream.
It was only after Doctor Hu’s constant coaxing that Yu Sicong cald down.
Yet he remained by Yu Holea’s side.
It was only on the fourth day, since his body couldn’t bear it that Yu Sicong fainted.
But before fainting he still warned everyone to take care of Yu Holea.
Even after fainting, he mumbled to Doctor Hu, that nothing should happen to his little sister.
Yu Sicong’s reaction was enough to tell everyone how much Yu Holea mattered to him.
Yu Holea didn’t have to wait for a long ti, soon so snacks appeared before her.
Looking at the vanilla cake, Yu Holea’s eyes brightened.
She looked around and when she thought that no one was watching her, she started eating the cake and chewed on it with a happy smile.
Truly Vanilla Cakes are the best.
She wasn’t a picky eater but when it ca to pastry nothing could beat Vanilla and Butterscotch cake.
Yu Sicong who was looking at Yu Holea from above smiled.
She was looking so cute...
Yu Sicong took out his phone and clicked so of Yu Holea’s pictures.
Yu Holea finished her snacks and walked back to her room.
All this ti she was completely unaware of Yu Sicong’s presence and Yu Sicong too didn’t co in front of Yu Holea.
When Yu Holea reached her room she heard Zephyr’s voice,
"Your brother is strange."
"Huh ?"
"The one who ca to et you in the afternoon."
"Yu Sicong? Why are you saying that about him?" Yu Holea was confused.
"He was staring at you. I could feel his gaze." Zephyr replied.
"You might have been mistaken." Yu Holea said in a calm voice.
If Yu Sicong was looking at her, why didn’t she know?
"I am not mistaken, but why weren’t you able to sense his presence?" Zephyr asked curiously.
Yu Holea shook her head and said,
"Because he wasn’t staring at in the first place. Okay, everything aside. Zephyr could tell how many new scrolls have been unlocked?"
Earlier she had unlocked around 2 scrolls but didn’t have any ti to absorb them.
Now that her cultivation leaped again, Yu Holea wanted to know how many more scrolls she had absorbed in order to catch up with her talisman cultivation.
"Total 4.With 5 one being locked due to lack of talismans making practice."
"And how much ti will I require to complete all 4?" Yu Holea asked automatically ignoring his second sentence.
"Around 2 years?" Zephyr said with uncertainty in his voice.
"What?" Yu Holea was shocked.
Then she heard muffled sounds and it took a second for her to realize that Zephyr was joking with her.
"Zephyr." Yu Holea called out in a slightly irritated voice.
Zephyr’s voice which was laced with mirth sounded,
"Yes. Okay. Even though you won’t require 2 years. You will at least require 2 days to absorb 1 scroll."
"8 days." Yu Holea concluded.
Then she sat down and started making her daily routine for the vacation.
When she was finished, Yu Holea heard Zehypr say,
"By the way you should look in your consciousness."
"Hmmm?" Yu Holea did as Zephyr asked her to do.
By consciousness, he ant her cultivation of space’s consciousness.
A shocking sight appeared in front of her.
A small kid in soul form was sitting beside another soul-like figure.
Zephyr answered before Yu Holea could ask anything,
"One of them is Fu Haojin."
"And the other?" Yu Holea asked.
However before Zephyr could answer her, the small child-like soul sensed as that soone was looking at him and suddenly vanished.
"Huh?" Yu Holea exclaid.
"Where did he go?" Yu Holea asked and just then she felt a tuck on her clothes.
Coming out of her consciousness, she saw the faint child-like figure in his soul form.
Yu Holea’s eyes suddenly narrowed and she asked tentatively,
"Mr....Mr. Qiao?"
The child aka Qiao Jun’s miniature version frowned when he heard Yu Holea’s way of addressing him.
On the other hand, Yu Holea wasn’t able to understand, how can Qiao Jun’s small version appeared in front of her.
Yu Holea looked at the cute Qiao Jun who even though looked like Qiao Zirui had more arrogance and looked a bit like a haughty cat.
Even though he was in his soul form, Yu Holea felt that he was very powerful.
"I am Qiao Jun. Not Mr. Qiao." Small Qiao Jun said.
Yu Holea was amused and asked,
"But didn’t you leave for a trip? Why..."
"I am his soul fragnt." Qiao Jun said in a calm tone.
Yu Holea’s lip suddenly turned upwards and she said,
"Oh so, you are not the real Qiao Jun, you are just a soul fragnt."
"No! I am the real Qiao Jun!" Small Qiao Jun said.
But Yu Holea laughed unkindly.
Irked by her laughter Qiao Jun huffed and looked away.
Yu Holea’s heart lted seeing Qiao Jun’s angry expression.
She wanted to coax him but before that, she wanted to know what was going and hence she asked him,
"Can you tell what is going on, real Qiao Jun?"
She emphasized the word ’real’ in hopes that Qiao Jun would answer her.
As expected, Qiao Jun who was angry, answered,
"I was originally left by my real body to protect you since you are so stupid. When I previously attacked that General, half of my power was lost.
Then when I defended you against that general 5 days ago, my remaining half-power faded. It faded so much that now I am currently not able to retain my original self and aged backward.
Anyways, if you have an injury tell , and I can heal you. I still have enough power to heal you."
Yu Holea’s heart ached.
Because of her, not only Qiao Jun’s soul fragnt was injured, he was even forced to beco a child.
Yet instead of being angry, he still cares about her.
Yu Holea bent down to Qiao Jun’s level and rubbed his head.
Then she thought of an important question and asked,
"You are in soul state, right? Then why I can..."
"...touch ?" Qiao Jun asked and Yu Holea nodded.
"Because we have a connection. A mind link. Only through that mind link, I am able to sense whether you are in danger or not and based on that take action."
Yu Holea asked in a soft voice,
"Why did you want to protect in the first place?"
Yu Holea was trying her best to hold back her tears while asking this question.
If he didn’t like her then why was he so concerned about her?
Did he see her as a little sister or was there sothing that she had misunderstood?
Yu Holea was starting to have doubts.
Small Qiao Jun panicked and looked around.
Then he coughed, and said,
"Because...Because...I...I...Oh yes. I don’t want my sister’s best friend and my grandmother’s savior to die because she was weak and not powerful enough to protect herself."
Yu Holea was stunned to hear Qiao Jun’s reason.
She was a bit sad after hearing that Qiao Jun only wanted to protect her because she had saved his grandma.
But then again, what more she was expecting?
If Qiao Jun really had feelings for her then even if there was so problem with the card and the ssage, what about his own voice saying that he doesn’t have any feelings for her?
God, she shouldn’t embarrass herself by keeping on hovering that fact.
Qiao Jun doesn’t like her romantically and that was fact.
Accept it and move on, right?
In fact, she should be grateful that Qiao Jun went so far to ensure her safety.
Yu Holea took a deep breath and said with a smile,
"Thank you so much for protecting . And I am fine, I don’t need any treatnt."
