Her voice!
Suddenly a chilly voice sounded next to her ears,
"What a tasty human...hahaha!"
Zhou Susu realized that she wasn’t able to move or speak at all.
What was happening?
Zhou Susu sat there stiffly, from behind she looked as if she was completely fine, only if soone saw her face that they would know how scared she was.
A crackling voice sounded and Zhou Susu scread in pain,
"Ah"
Her voice was filled with agony as her fingers were getting slowly twisted by an invisible force.
Soon all her fingers were twisted backward.
Zhou Susu’s eyes were filled with tears.
She suddenly thought of the talisman.
Till the ti the talismans were with her, no one attacked her.
But now...
If only she could retrieve those talismans.
The external force suddenly threw Zhou Susu with a force.
Zhou Susu’s body flew and crashed into the wall of her small bedroom with a sickening thud.
Pain shot through her body as she struggled to catch her breath.
She felt utterly helpless, trapped in a nightmarish situation she couldn’t comprehend.
The invisible force seed to have a malevolent intelligence as if it were toying with her.
It pushed her body against the wall, making it difficult for her to move.
Her heart raced as fear and panic consud her.
In her desperate struggle, Zhou Susu’s gaze fell upon the dustbin where she had thrown the talismans earlier.

As if offended by her words, the invisible force said in a hoarse voice,

And a powerful force suddenly slamd Zhou Susu into the wall near the dustbin.
Even though Zhou Susu felt pain all over, her eyes brightened.
She suddenly stretched her hand and instantly took out the talisman.
When the invisible force knew that Zhou Susu was trying to trick it, it was angry but left quietly.
Zhou Susu held the talismans like a shield and looked around vigilantly.
"Where are you?"
She asked in a loud voice but no one responded her.
After asking the sa question repeatedly for 4 minutes straight, she finally relaxed her guard and her eyes were filled with tears.
Fear engulfed her heart and she thanked Yu Holea from the bottom of her heart when she realized that she was safe because of the talisman.
Just then she saw a person standing at the window and her legs started trembling.
Before she could scream she heard her cousin’s voice,
"Sh! Don’t scream! It’s !"
Zhou Susu paused and asked with uncertainty,
"Kun?"
She hesitated for a mont, unsure if her ears were playing tricks on her.
But as she focused her flashlight on the figure, the face that ca into view was undeniably that of her cousin, Zhou Kun.
Relief surged through her like a tidal wave.
Tears of joy filled her eyes as she stared at Zhou Kun in disbelief, a mixture of shock and elation overcoming her.
She had thought he was lost, perhaps even gone forever, but here he was, standing before her.
With a shaky voice, Zhou Susu managed to utter,
"Zhou Kun, is that really you?"
Zhou Kun’s familiar grin spread across his face as he stepped closer to the light.
He looked slightly disheveled, but his presence was a beacon of comfort amid her turmoil.
"Yeah, it’s , Susu," he replied, his voice carrying a mix of exhaustion and excitent.
Unable to contain her emotions any longer, Zhou Susu rushed forward to embrace him but Zhou Kun stepped back.
Zhou Susu almost fell out of her window but she hurriedly stepped back.
Shocked Zhou Susu asked,
"Why the hell you backed away..."
But she paused when she said.
Of course, she knew why Zhou Kun avoided her.
Her cousin never liked to have physical contact with anyone including her, except for the monts when he wanted to protect her.
And hence she was more sure that Zhou Kun in front of her is Zhou Kun she knows.
Hence she changed the subject and asked,
"Where were you and how did you get here?"
"I got lost in the forest, Susu. It was like a maze, and I had no idea where I was going. But sohow, I managed to find my way out. It was a struggle, but I was determined to co back to you."
Zhou Susu beca emotional and said,
"It’s good! It’s good!"
Then she rembered Zhou Kun’s parents and said,
"Kun you should go back to your ho, your parents are looking for you."
"Oh ok..."
However, before he could finish Zhou Kun held his dizzy head and placed his hand on the wall to support himself.
Zhou Susu was instantly concerned and said,
"Kun, are you okay?"
Zhou Kun shook his head and said,
"Nothing I am feeling a little weak."
Zhou Susu instantly said,
"Brother you wait I will drop you."
As she said this she stood up to get changed when she suddenly rembered Yu Holea’s instruction and hesitated.
She paused and said suddenly,
"Brother you will be hungry right?"
Zhou Kun shook his head and said,
"No, I am fine..."
However Zhou Susu interrupted him and said,
"We have braised pork for our dinner."
Zhou Kun froze and said,
"Since you insist then, bring it."
Zhou Susu stiffened but she went to the kitchen and took out the at reserved for her father.
When she turned around she was almost given a heart attack, when she saw her mother standing in front of her.
Patting her heart, she interrupted her mother and said,
"I am not taking this for myself, Brother Kun has returned and wanted to eat sothing."
Zhou Susu’s mother frowned and said,
"But doesn’t he..."
Zhou Susu didn’t let her finish and said,
"Mother he wants to eat at."
Saying so she left and went to room.
Zhou Susu’s mother, Zhang Oujin, followed behind her to stop but she saw Zhou Kun in the room and instantly put on a flattering smile,

Zhou Kun ignored Zhang Oujin and looked at the bowl of at intently.
When Zhou Susu passed the bowl of at to Zhou Kun, Zhou Kun instantly started gobbling down the at.
His manner of eating beca disordered and he started eating at as if he was hungry for more than 3 days.
Zhang Oujin tried to remind him,
"Kun, slow down, the food won’t run away."
However, Zhou Kun still buried his head in the bowl of at and ate the at with his hands.
So pieces of at fell on the ground while so were stuck on his face.
Zhou Susu’s face turned pale when she saw Zhou Kun’s strange manner of eating.
A conversation played in her mind,
"When a ghost attains a certain amount of cultivation and becos powerful, they could shapeshift into the person they have seen."

Suddenly all the lights were switched off.
Zhou Susu hurriedly opened the flashlight of her phone, only to see ’Zhou Kun’ sitting on the bed with his head lowered
His aura was filled with a murderous intent and what was more strange was the shadow that was forming behind him.
Instead of a normal human being shadow a twisted and distorted figure lood behind Zhou Kun.
Its shape was grotesque, and its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light.
Zhou Susu’s heart raced as she realized that this was no longer her cousin before her, but sothing far more sinister.
Yu Holea’s figure flashed past her mind and she secretly typed a ssage to her.
