Yu i’s intuition told her that Jiang Wei wasn’t genuinely smiling.
There was a hidden agenda behind her words and actions.
Despite her polite deanor, Yu i couldn’t shake off the uneasiness in her heart,

As Ji Hui made the shocking revelation, the atmosphere in the hall turned tense.
Gasps and whispers filled the air as the guests processed the unexpected accusation against Yu Holea.
Yu i’s face paled, and she looked at Ji Hui in disbelief.
"Ji Hui, what are you saying? That’s not true!" Yu i exclaid, her voice tinged with panic.
However, her panic was clearly telling everyone that Ji Hui was telling the truth.
Ji Hui, however, remained unfazed and continued her accusations.
"I’m sorry, Yu i, but it’s the truth." Ji Hui said, her voice dripping with superiority.
Yu Holea calmly looked at Ji Hui.
How could she forget about Ji Hui?
Ji Hui is the second female lead.
In the original novel, Ji Hui always defended the female lead whenever the villain aka Yu Hole tried to throw dirty water on Yu i.
In the novel Ji Hui never bothered to fight with Yu Holea.
Only when Yu Holea provoked Yu i, then only Ji Hui used to retaliate.
Ji Hui’s character in the novel was that of an aloof cat who would attack when poked her.
But why was the scene so different?
In the original plotline, at this ti, Ji Hui only showed up after this birthday incident.

Yu Holea was a little absent-minded and wasn’t much affected by Ji Hui’s accusation but that doesn’t an that she won’t defend herself and hence she asked lightly,

"Miss Yu, I really don’t understand which part of my speech forced you to cry but after all that you did to , the one who should be crying definitely can’t be you."
Her sentence was quite ambiguous.
It wasn’t like Yu Holea doesn’t learn.
She understood Yu i’s speech pattern.
Doesn’t she always look as if she is innocent and doesn’t know anything and whatever she says is the truth because her words are always ambiguous?
Yu i’s face turned a little pale but her eye turned sharp.
Suddenly she said with a determined face,
