In the original novel, Yu i and Yu Holea’s birthday was celebrated together but because of Yu Holea’s lack of mannerism, Yu Holea was isolated while Yu i was surrounded like a star.
Not to ntion this scene was the beginning of the novel, where the female lead, Yu i face slaps, the vicious real daughter, Yu Holea, when Yu Holea shows off the gifts she received from her biological brother.
As the guests gathered around for the cake-cutting ceremony, Yu Holea couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions.
She rembered the humiliation and isolation the host, faced in the original novel, and it brought back painful mories.
Surprisingly she felt as if she had experienced all of this.
Soon the guest started singing a birthday song.
When the cake-cutting was going on, Mrs. Yu and Mr. Yu ca to Yu i’s side but since there were too many people in front of her, Yu Holea wasn’t able to see them.
Yu Holea strained her eyes, trying to catch a glimpse of her parents in the crowd.
She felt a glimr of hope that maybe they hadn’t forgotten about her birthday after all.
But no matter how hard she looked, she couldn’t see them anywhere near her.
Her heart sank, and she felt tears welling up in her eyes.
Hu! Look up! You can’t cry!
And Yu Holea was successful in stopping her tears...
