"Stop! Don’t move!"

"Hands on your head! Don’t make any moves!"

On the wide street at night, the roar of motorcycle gangs occasionally echoed from both sides of the road. A black car abruptly stopped in the middle of the road, completely indifferent to whether those speedsters might crash into them.

In the passenger seat, Kelly opened the car door, got out, and aid her handgun at Wu Liang, shouting loudly.

In such a special situation, it was surprising that there were still people in the city who could spot this car without knowing who they were.

Either this person was immune to that strange Forgetting effect, or he was the culprit of the Forgetting!

Kelly wouldn’t gamble her life on whether the other party was good or bad, so the best approach was to subdue him first and then interrogate him.

"Calm down, calm down, why does everyone pull out guns at the slightest provocation? Isn’t society a bit too unruly?" Wu Liang shrugged and quipped.

The traffic cop he t during the day was the sa.

As soon as sothing happened, he would imdiately draw his gun as if ready to shoot.

Even though it’s the era of Awakened now, in reality, firearms still have the sa lethal power against carbon-based life forms.

Globally, only specific organizations within countries, like Huaxia’s official expert Ghost Hunters, could reduce or immunize themselves from gunfire through Awakened Abilities.

Among ordinary citizens, you probably couldn’t find a few throughout the entire city who could achieve this.

"I’ll say it again! Don’t move! Put on the handcuffs and co with us!" Kelly interrupted Wu Liang’s next quip, pulling from her waist a pair of ink-black, extrely unusual handcuffs.

It only took Wu Liang one glance to realize the purpose of these handcuffs—

[Ability Suppression Handcuffs]

[When the target’s ntal state is hazy, the handcuffs can effectively suppress the use of their Awakened Abilities, but if the target is sober or excited, they’re just ordinary handcuffs]

I imagine this is what Special Ability Users over here use to capture those taking advantage of their Awakened Abilities to commit cris.

Since the usage requires the target’s poor ntal state as a premise, there must be soone in the car who can affect the ntal states of others, or they carry physical ans like tranquilizers.

"I co from Huaxia and received your country’s plea for help—well, I think it was a plea. I’m not sure; I didn’t see it with my own eyes. In short, this disaster might have been caused by a Nation-Destroying Level Fierce Ghost, and I’m here to help you kill it. It’s that simple."

Wu Liang didn’t plan on hiding his identity.

After all, he was here representing Huaxia’s aid and could use this identity to communicate more quickly with these foreign Awakened Special Ability Users.

Bam—

However, he didn’t expect to hear a gunshot right after speaking.

Wu Liang then wiped off his playful smile, his expression stern as he opened up his hand, revealing a still-steaming bullet evidently just shot from the gun.

"Everyone, what does this an? Didn’t I make my identity clear? If you don’t believe , you can check with your superior about the existence of the plea for assistance, right? Isn’t shooting directly a bit much?" Wu Liang said coldly.

Da-da-da—

His response was the woman in the back seat coming out with a Gatling gun and unleashing a barrage of heavy firepower!

Who knew how that petite woman with thin arms and legs could wield such a massive weapon with deadly accuracy without missing?

But they were still underestimating the situation.

Kelly, who was closer, squinted and could clearly see each Gatling bullet pounding heavily into Wu Liang’s palm.

Why the palm?

Because the opponent used a speed that Kelly couldn’t track to slap each bullet and crush it with his palm!

Crushing bullets! Damn it! Was she really not dreaming right now?

Kelly gritted her teeth and charged toward Wu Liang’s position. Her eyes quickly turned a bizarre purple-red, visible to the naked eye.

The woman with the Gatling gun in the back seat ceased her firing right as Kelly was about to reach Wu Liang.

As Wu Liang deflected the last bullet, he looked up and locked eyes with Kelly’s eerie gaze.

"Sweetheart, you don’t want to harm , do you? Could you bear to do so?"

Kelly’s voice slithered into Wu Liang’s ears like a demonic whisper, her purple-red eyes danced with an almost magical allure.

Just one look, and Wu Liang could deduce that this woman’s Awakened Ability was almost at a City-Destroying Level of power.

Moreover, her ability could be triggered completely passively, entrapping anyone who heard her voice or saw her image.

If Kelly were to unleash her full power, she could probably bring an entire street to its knees within seconds.

"Too bad, I’ve encountered a Plus version of you. He even claid to be the Son of God, but now his burial mound grasses are two ters tall."

To Kelly’s surprise, Wu Liang’s clear eyes remained unwavering.

He could even converse fluently while maintaining eye contact with her.

Lil did she know that the Plus version Wu Liang ntioned was a City-Destroying Peak Fierce Ghost—Triton—almost on the brink of Nation-Destroying Level.

As another who controlled through hearing and vision influences, Triton’s Fierce Ghost Ability was evidently more horrifying.
