"The thirty-ninth life! Hahaha! I want to see how many more tricks you have to resurrect!"

Wu Liang once again used the ability of the Hanged Ghost to ambush Ghost Valley, instantly hanging him in mid-air, then laughed out loud at the sky, not pausing his verbal attacks for a mont.

The two battled under the watchful eyes of all the city’s citizens for a full half hour.

By now, Wu Liang’s body was covered in blood, solidified then soaked again, repeating this cycle. In this state, his whole body’s color gradually shifted from bright red to a darker, almost blackish red.

His shirt had long been torn to shreds and vanished, his clenched fists were a mass of flesh and blood with glimpses of white bone, and his chest was full of various wounds, indistinguishable whether they were his own blood or his enemies’.

Even his once fluffy, slightly curled hair was drooping against his head like crystal.

"Haha... monster... you’re the real monster! You’re just wearing human skin, but in essence, you’re a real Fierce Ghost!"

Though Ghost Valley could recover each ti to a perfect state upon resurrection, the inventory of Supernatural Objects and his ntal endurance couldn’t withstand such high-pressure combat any longer, and his voice began to tremble.

However, as soon as he finished speaking, a mist exploded from Wu Liang, and his figure instantly vanished before his eyes.

"You’re out of Artificial Ghosts, aren’t you? My minions have transford!" The voice ca from all directions, making it impossible to discern where Wu Liang actually was.

Though after such a long battle, most of the Fierce Ghost Minions were already weakened, there was one thing Ghost Valley absolutely hadn’t anticipated.

He summoned and used so many Supernatural Objects and Artificial Ghosts, but Wu Liang’s Fierce Ghost Minions were not only fighting; they were continuously feeding and digesting!

Now the Fierce Ghost abilities they provided had all upgraded and evolved!

Even though the number of fusions was used up long before, Wu Liang’s normal combat strength was now equivalent to the City-Destroying Level!

"The fortieth ti!"

As the words fell, Ghost Valley’s entire body was unexpectedly strangled and pierced by the mist. The Mist Ghost’s ability could now beco tangible!

This ti, the situation finally changed.

Ghost Valley’s body didn’t recover imdiately but lay on the ground looking like a corpse for nearly half a minute before he sat up with difficulty.

Wu Liang had reason to suspect this was his last chance for resurrection!

"It’s quite the destiny, isn’t it? I didn’t expect we’d et under such circumstances. Pleasure to et you."

In his revived state, Ghost Valley unexpectedly uttered such an inexplicable line.

That familiar and ostentatious tone made Wu Liang instantly realize this guy’s identity!

He sarcastically retorted, "You’re such a bastard; you even intruded consciously on your own companions’ bodies. The Bionic Man of my old man, you made that too, right? Pioneer!"

This feeling was exactly like the ti in the Capital City when he was chased in a trap by Wu Liang until he fled in embarrassnt!

But there was one thing Wu Liang couldn’t understand: he was sure he had forced the other to give up all his consciousness avatars!

As if seeing through the confusion in his eyes, Pioneer, using Ghost Valley’s voice, shook his head and said, "This isn’t my consciousness intrusion but the work of the forr Pioneer, which only manifests when Ghost Valley’s consciousness is at its weakest. I didn’t expect it would bring out first."

"The forr was playing a very big ga..."

"Here it goes again. Do you three have your brains spinning in the washing machine together?"

Wu Liang cracked his neck and interrupted.

Whether from Ghost Valley or Wu Xiaoyao Bionic Man, he’d heard plenty of stories that he had no recollection of experiencing, and now Pioneer was trying to brainwash him with more nonsensical talk.

But the strange thing was that even when interrupted, Pioneer remained expressionless.

There was no sign of the anger from being hunted in the Capital City, not even caring about the harsh words he had uttered then.

He simply said calmly, "Whether you believe it or not, the past you see as nonexistent is a fact, only you haven’t experienced it yourself."

"The Master’s death cannot be resurrected."

"’Now’ and ’Future’ have been dislocated from the ’Past’ since five years ago from Celestial Pool..."

Just as Pioneer was muttering those ethereal words, he suddenly stopped abruptly.

Then his breathing beca abruptly rapid, his expression gradually turned hideously, and his once-calm eyes filled with murderous intent.

He began to grind his teeth, clutching his temples, and said, "Heh... it’s you again, boy, ruining my plans!"

"I won’t give you the chance to read my mories again! Want clues? Delusional!"

Having said that, Pioneer unexpectedly drew an ordinary-looking blade from space once more.

Just as Wu Liang was bracing for another vicious battle, the opponent unexpectedly stabbed the blade directly into his own forehead, the speed catching him completely off guard.

Ghost Valley’s face wore a manic expression as he fell over stiffly to the ground.

Pioneer had actually controlled him to commit suicide!

This ti, he didn’t stand up again.

"Damn... what’s even going on?"

Wu Liang cursed and prepared to go check the other guy’s condition but suddenly felt dizzy as he took a step.

The next mont, he collapsed to the ground, feeling utterly powerless.

The prolonged battle had, despite the upgrades and evolutions the Fierce Ghost Minions received, pushed his own physical body to the limit long ago.

The thought of victory barely surfaced in his mind, and the tense muscles finally couldn’t retain combat status anymore.

As the adrenaline faded, physical pain and ntal fatigue surged over him like a tide, and Wu Liang found his vision starting to darken.

"Cough cough... damn it, was this Pioneer a schizophrenic or sothing? Saying things without logical sequence... Why do I keep encountering lunatics..."

Clearly, the one speaking viciously at the end was the Pioneer Wu Liang’s consciousness pursuit had almost caught in the Capital City; the drastic change in tone and attitude made Wu Liang even suspect whether the guy was truly ntally ill.

Unfortunately, the opponent overlooked one thing!

Though Ghost Valley died abruptly, preventing mory access, everything in Wu Xiaoyao Bionic Man’s brain was already known to Nightmare!

Wu Liang coughed, struggling to prop himself up on his arm, and finally rolled onto his back to look at the sky.

The sky full of helicopters and the clear blue sky where the clouds had scattered were mirrored in his eyes.

Especially that sky, it was truly beautiful.

Just like his ho’s ceiling.

Despite his eyelids growing heavy and his consciousness increasingly blurred, he couldn’t help but break into a smile, increasingly bold until he laughed aloud.

Putting aside the earlier oddity, at least Ghost Valley was truly finished.

His crazy plan to turn Chengyang City into a Fierce Ghost realm was totally ruined!

No matter what mysteries Pioneer had left behind, at least for now — he won!

"Hahaha... I won... this ti I won..." murmured Wu Liang unconsciously as he completely lost consciousness and closed his eyes, passing out.

And the rumors in the city and Wu Liang’s seemingly reckless actions, after He Zhan’s explanation, finally made most citizens realize.

All the citizens of Chengyang City, upon witnessing Ghost Valley’s silhouette fall and never rise again in the live news broadcast, had already begun cheering and waving!

In this era of supernatural resurgence, surviving was indeed sothing most worth celebrating!

They looked at the blurry image of Wu Liang lying motionless in the cara, and the fear in their eyes gradually dissipated, leaving only admiration and aspiration.

This young man saved the entire Chengyang City!

Just as He Zhan said—

The Shadow has beco a true hero!
