FWOOM!!!!

Two wormholes opened on each of the poles of the dwarf planet as two individuals floated through them, landing within ten seconds on exactly opposite ends of the dwarf planet.

The feed, showing all of this from different angles, was at the mont the most-watched event in the entire Conclave, as more than ninety-nine percent of everyone had currently tuned in to watch it happen in real ti. The remaining one percent were children who were not yet conscious enough to even register what they were seeing, the military on high alert in case sothing happened during the match, or those traveling at FTL in space with no connection to VR, making them unaware of the situation.

There was only a minute left on the tir, but with each second ticking down, the tension felt by humans increased severalfold. The Xor’Vak citizens, on the other hand, were full of confidence in their leader, the Grand Xor’Vak, due to the history that trailed him.

As for the rest of the Conclave, the current fight was a mixed reaction for them. So were worried for the emperor, so wanted him to be killed, and many felt sothing in between. But they still watched with anticipation while feeling a slight worry because no matter how this incident ended, they were among the pieces on the chopping block, and neither of the two sides spelled a good life for them.

“You are really arrogant to choose a dwarf planet as the location of the battle,” the Grand Xor’Vak spoke as his humanoid form started expanding, returning to his draconic form, which was more than a kiloter in length. His voice was carried by powerful mana that forcefully transported it to Aron, who was standing still and not doing anything dramatic.

He didn’t look like soone who was fighting a battle that had a civilization’s freedom on the line at all; he looked no different from a soldier going to deal with a low-level skirmish, wearing what looked like standard military armor with a sword strapped to his back.

The Grand Xor’Vak, on the other hand, looked to be taking it even more casually, as he didn’t even bring clothes or armor, trusting fully in his scales as both his clothing and protection.

“I didn’t. Our resources were spent stabilizing the captured territories, leaving us very thin on machines to construct another colosseum of a respectable size,” Aron said as he started jumping up and down, as if warming himself up.

His eyes focused on a screen to his left, which showed the tir. The mont it hit zero, the restrictions would be lifted, and they would be allowed to use their abilities. Things like transformation and getting ready were allowed, but it was limited to physical actions; preparing spells ahead of ti was not.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

The mont the tir hit zero, and the restrictions were removed, things happened so rapidly that no one could see exactly what happened.

Thankfully, the live stream restarted from the beginning and slowed everything down monts before the tir hit zero, focusing on Aron, who at the mont looked as if he was in suspended animation due to how much the video was slowed down. The mont the tir hit zero, Aron, who had seed frozen, instantly moved as if the video speed had increased. But the playback speed hadn’t changed; his speed had simply increased now that he could use mana.

Aron imdiately took to the air, covering a hundred kiloters instantly. Before the viewers could wonder why, a massive object erupted from the ground where Aron had been, closing its jaws with enough force to send a shockwave through the area. The cara imdiately zood out with the two individuals still highlighted until the screen was filled with the dwarf planet. A straight line was drawn from the north pole all the way to the south pole, showing how the Grand Xor’Vak had covered a distance of more than a thousand kiloters in a single second.

But the zood-out scene didn’t remain so for long. It zood back in, now showing the Grand Xor’Vak’s mouth opening before sending out fire like a laser in Aron’s direction, covering the distance in less than a second.

As the laser-like fire was fired, the cara angle imdiately changed to chase it, with the speed slowed down even further to catch an attack moving faster than the two individuals’ speed, while keeping Aron, who was on the receiving end, in full focus. The viewers were nearly having heart attacks as they watched it approach Aron, who wasn’t moving at all, as if he hadn’t even perceived it coming toward him.

At the peak of the humans’ worry and fear, with so of them even closing their eyes, the light imdiately changed direction a few ters before reaching Aron, turning ninety degrees before changing direction again by another ninety degrees, returning from where it had co. Aron’s body still looked as if it were in suspended animation, as the control of the things in his surroundings through his mind was so fast that his physical body had yet to catch up, making him look as if he were unaware of the attack that had just been returned to sender.

The returned attack imdiately hit the Grand Xor’Vak’s massive body, but instead of dealing any damage, it only caused a few ripples across the scales before it was instantly absorbed back into him.

“You want to harm with my own attack? You are really arrogant,” the Grand Xor’Vak spoke through mana as he looked at Aron. Although he sounded confident, he didn’t shift his eyes from Aron for even a second.

“You really brought into a perfect and advantageous environnt.” The mont he said these words, Aron looked as if he was hit by a supersonic bullet. One mont he was standing there, and the next, he wasn’t. The only clue to what happened was...
