Chapter 439: Chapter 439: The Genius of Quan State, Ranked Behind Quan State City _1

Then, he bellowed loudly, "What is a genius? A genius is a natural-born warrior! No natural-born warrior can hide behind ordinary people, living comfortably in their comfort zone! Therefore, a genius who doesn’t dare to step onto the battlefield can never beco a true genius, nor can they beco a true person of Chu State! That being the case, as people of Quan State, they should fight for Quan State City! I don’t necessarily demand they die in battle, but given the circumstances, their arrival is destined to be our most advantageous weapon!..."

Jin Botao roared, furious.

Because, if Jin Botao rembered correctly, it was on the Oceania Battlefield that the boy Wang Zhan had suddenly risen to prominence! Although Wang Zhan had already beco a huge dark horse in his third year of high school, suddenly ranking among the top four in the Federation, in the final analysis, his true abilities, temperant, and his increasingly mature way of handling matters had all rapidly transford and matured after the battle in the Oceania Wilderness Area. To this day, he has beco a true, upstanding man! Therefore, in Jin Botao’s mind, if one had to speak of geniuses, only those like Wang Zhan, capable of rapid growth on the battlefield, were true geniuses. What’s more, even if these children of Quan State had indeed embarked on the Martial Arts Path at thirteen or fourteen and beco Martial Students, so what? If they couldn’t even adapt to this battle before them, fighting alongside their elders, a war where support was readily available, then what was the point of such geniuses! They would just be useless losers, only good for wasting food! If it weren’t for this battle, Quan State would have had many more opportunities. But since war had co, they had an obligation to shoulder their responsibilities! This was undeniable! Of course, the reason Jin Botao had made such a cold, ruthless, and tyrannical—even bloody—decision was entirely because the current situation was becoming increasingly precarious, leaving him no ti to wait. At the sa ti, his fury had begun to consu his rationality. Yet, beneath that flickering reason lay boundless despair! Because these people before him might still harbor hope for tily rescue from the Federation. But as the leader of all Quan State people, Jin Botao had to see and acknowledge one fact: unless the Federal Governnt directly bypassed the upper and lower councils and dispatched a large number of airship fortresses to aid Quan State, Quan State was dood! Especially since Jin Botao also knew full well that the one person who held this authority was currently not in the Federation, but on the Star War Battlefield. There, that person was fighting a bloody battle against those primitive, bloodthirsty beasts, never retreating a single step, all for the sake of the Human Race’s future victory one day! Therefore, this was already an almost complete dead end. No one could save Quan State; even if soone wanted to, ti had run out. Of course, except for themselves! The people of Quan State could still choose to save themselves. That was why Jin Botao was buckling under such imnse pressure, making it impossible for him to maintain his usual calm and composure. But Jin Botao also knew this truth. It was sothing only he was qualified to know, and only he had to keep it a secret, never revealing it to any other person from Quan State. Because this was yet another of the world’s truths and fates—utterly unacceptable, yet utterly unavoidable! Otherwise, once people learned that no matter how desperately they fought, they would still face an imminently fatal and irrediable situation, all the warriors would collapse! All the people of Quan State would collapse! All living people whose hearts still beat with fervent life would collapse! Collapse, collapse, collapse... They would all collapse! Faced with such a massive Beast Clan group, Quan State... had no future! As the saying goes, when a nest is overturned, no egg is left unbroken! How could Jin Botao fail to understand this? The current Quan State still appeared strong, with plentiful ammunition and high morale! But it was obvious that this was rely the beginning! And yet, right from this very small start, Quan State had already undoubtedly fallen to a disadvantage. Therefore, regarding Quan State’s situation, if one looked at it from a bird’s-eye view, as if on a map, one would imdiately see that these people of Quan State, already pushed to the brink, were clearly nothing more than trapped beasts putting up a final, desperate struggle! On the one hand, it was because Quan State’s reserve strength clearly couldn’t keep up with the growth of the enemy Beast Clan group. One should know that among all the forces present, the five major powers of Quan State—including the regular defense forces of the Martial Managent Bureau, the Internal Affairs Departnt, the United Front Departnt, the Security Bureau, and the State Council, and so on—nearly all conscriptable forces had already been mobilized by Jin Botao without exception, all for this critical city defense battle! However, in the end, Jin Botao discovered that this was rely a drop in the bucket, utterly insufficient and completely useless for the situation in Quan State City. On the other hand, the blood rain from above—which, amidst periodic roars, continuously showered down from mid-air, clinging to people, growing ever stickier without ever coagulating, instead rapidly cooling and making everyone thoroughly uncomfortable—served as definitive proof to everyone of a fact they had almost forgotten: The power of the beasts was not a one-ti expendable force; it was in a constant state of replenishnt! Quan State’s strength, however, though seemingly formidable, was already in a process of continuous decline. This was Quan State’s greatest deficiency! Therefore, if people were to analyze the battle situation based on the most basic kill reports from Quan State’s sixteen cannon towers, they would likely imdiately discover that even if the flying beasts of the Earth Federation were nurous, they should never have reached such numbers that, in a re instant, at least two to three hundred thousand flying beasts had been annihilated, yet the enemy still showed no signs of retreating. In fact, their numbers were still increasing at an almost constant rate, to the point where their flesh and blood could cover the entire top of Quan State City’s walls. This alone was enough to prove how overwhelmingly aggressive the enemy was; even if Quan State fought valiantly, it could only be slowly subrged in the tide of beasts. So, in a situation where the enemy had reinforcents and they had none, how could Quan State possibly have any path of retreat! The only future awaiting all the people of Quan State was that: behind them and before them were only those greedy, brutal beasts—like wolves and tigers—that constantly ravaged the lands of the Human Race. Above their heads and beneath their feet were also their own people—those who had once struggled under sharp fangs, only to pitifully beco scorched earth in the end, leaving behind nothing but lost souls! Therefore, this ti, they truly had no way out. Or perhaps, it could be said their only path of retreat lay within their line of sight, in the distance before everyone, upon the bodies of the Beast Clan group before them!!

FIGHT! FIGHT!! FIGHT!!!

And so, Jin Botao, thoughts churning in his mind, concealed this truth without the slightest hesitation. He only wanted people to see the expression on his face: one of indifference, ruthlessness, overbearing power, and extre agitation. Only this way did it fit his established image in their minds—aside from being an old fox—that of a battle-hardened ruffian! Only this way could the people before him firmly see his determination and steadfastly believe that he could definitely lead Quan State to win this great war! For this reason, Jin Botao didn’t care at all if anyone saw through his thoughts, because before he departed, he left only one sentence for these employees and representatives of the various factions.

"So, my decision is final! If anyone refuses to obey my command, then you can voluntarily enter solitary confinent! Or, I can find a suitable position for you on the front battlefield!"

Then, in front of everyone, Jin Botao imdiately ducked into the cannon tower behind him. Without another glance at those delicate-skinned clerks before him, he resolutely turned and entered, not looking back.

"Now, I’m going to kill enemies! When those children arrive at the city wall, bring them onto the battlefield for . And tell them for : this is war, this is a trial!

Surviving is the only proof of whether they can beco geniuses! If they don’t survive, let them die! Of course, if you can’t bear it, you can make your own arrangents, but I insist on seeing them on the battlefield..."

Imdiately, another roar followed, like an old soldier berating new recruits who had just arrived at the Military Camp. Jin Botao stood without ceremony inside the cannon tower, which was filled with the sll of gunpowder smoke yet insulated from the sounds both inside and out, and shouted sternly, "Anyone who wants to rest, co on, give this old fellow a cannon tower too!!..."

Behind him, all the employees and representatives from the various factions looked at each other in dismay. Only then did they finally recall what their own superiors had told them repeatedly in the past: "Do not provoke that old fox. When he’s anable, he’ll naturally be a fox constantly haggling over benefits with you. But once he’s enraged, you’ll find that what stands before you is, in essence, a ravenous wolf that devours people without batting an eye..."

Undoubtedly, the current Jin Botao was already approaching the state of a ravenous wolf; he had begun to act tyrannically and unreasonably!
