"LUNAR, get ready to leave for Venezuela," Silas said, and LUNAR nodded.
"Before you go, we need to get you so clothes, and I also need a car. Also, it's almost ti to pick Alex up from school," Silas said, as he checked the ti on his phone and booked an Uber ride.
Silas didn't want to buy a new car, but it couldn't be helped, as where the cars were parked was at least a 6-7 hour drive from Oakland—a distance he didn't want to travel.
While they waited for their Uber ride to arrive, the two repairn fixing the broken door and windows were finally done with their work.
With a satisfied smile, Silas paid them with the money that Lucas had sent.
Lucas' action of sending hired goons to his ho made Silas realize that he had to put in place so security asures, or the sa incident would definitely repeat itself, or sothing even worse might happen to a mber of his family.
What if it had been professional assassins or other Phenonals that were sent after him?
What if soone targeted Alex at his school, abducted him, and used his life to threaten him? Or what if sothing happened to Kim? Would he be able to bear the guilt when he knew very well that he was the cause of it?
That was a question that didn't need to be asked, as Silas would fall into the deepest part of the abyss, laden with the burden of intense guilt and rage.
But the problem now was what to do?
Silas thought about it deeply for a mont and felt that the only currently plausible solution was to buy a new house in a new location for Kim and Alex. The house wouldn't be in Oakland but in another city or state entirely.
'I will have to start working on that soon. The earlier, the better for ,' Silas thought to himself.
A few minutes later, a horn was heard outside, indicating that the Uber had arrived.
Silas stood up when he heard the horn and left the house, followed by LUNAR.
"Erald Bay Galleria," Silas said to the driver, giving him the address, as he and LUNAR got into the car.
"W-What did you say?" the shocked Uber driver asked.
He found it extrely hard to believe that soone as beautiful as LUNAR and as handso as Silas could exist.
'How?!' he muttered to himself.
It couldn't be helped. Due to his high charisma stat, Silas' appearance could only be described as extraordinary.
LUNAR's MAU form appearance could be described as otherworldly. She was a perfect example of what is called a jade beauty, except that her body was that of an android.
Silas saw the driver's reaction and understood.
'Tsk. This appearance thing. Before, I was very ugly, and people literally almost ran from . Now, I'm so handso that I make them unable to focus,' Silas thought to himself with a smug smile.
Of course, he was being narcissistic, but he was mostly right.
Silas saw that the driver was still looking at him and LUNAR, and he decided to help him co back to reality.
He didn't have all the ti in the world to entertain him as he had to quickly go and pick Alex up from school.
"Erald Bay Galleria," Silas repeated to the driver, subtly controlling the air current to amplify and carry his voice deep into the driver's ear.
It seed to be effective, as the driver was brought out of his reverie and started driving, with a face red from embarrassnt.
The driver felt like finding a place to dig a hole and bury himself. He didn't understand how he could have lost himself just because of his two clients' appearances.
He thought of this and discreetly brought up his head to look at their reflection in the mirror.
"Ain't my fault. Their looks are just that extraordinary," he muttered to himself with a nod, and turned his full attention back to the road.
It took them a few minutes to get to their destination.
Erald Bay Galleria, the biggest shopping mall in Oakland, was the place that Silas ca to for his shopping spree with Alex.
After paying the Uber driver, Silas and LUNAR stepped out of the car and walked into the mall.
Their entrance into the mall attracted the attention of other custors, and they were now being stared at, but Silas paid no attention to them as he wasted no ti and took LUNAR to the female section and told her to choose whatever she wanted.
After dropping LUNAR at the store, Silas left and made his way to the car dealership to get himself a new car.
The car dealership he was going to was the sa one he got the Corvette from.
Silas was imdiately recognized by the female salesperson when he walked into the store, and she approached him with a professional smile on her face.
Even though his appearance had changed and improved greatly, she was able to quickly recognize him, as she's a person who always commits the appearances of important custors to mory, and Silas' action of buying the Corvette placed him on that list.
Silas already knew the reason for her approaching him. He knew that she wanted to start taking him around the shop, showing and introducing the different cars they had in store, but Silas wasn't in the mood for it, nor did he have the ti.
"A Camaro. Get the relevant papers and docunts ready, and add it to the cost. Let know when you're done," Silas said to the sales lady as he gave her his bank card, and went to take his seat.
The lady saw this and knew that she wouldn't be getting the opportunity to introduce their shop's latest addition.
Imdiately, she walked towards the door that she entered the previous ti and disappeared into the room behind it.
A few minutes later, she ca out with so docunts in her hands and walked towards where Silas was seated.
"Everything is ready, sir," she said and handed the docunts to him, then went to the reception table to swipe his card for paynt.
Silas received the docunts and quickly flipped through them, reading and absorbing their contents. With his high intelligence stat, reading and understanding the docunts' contents was very easy.
After he was done, he picked up the pen that was placed in the docunt and signed in the designated places.
After he was done signing, he stood up and returned the docunts to the lady, and she gave him the car's key.
Silas received the key and walked towards his ride, which was quietly waiting for him at the side of the shop.
Silas got in, started the engine imdiately, and drove off to the mall to pick LUNAR up.
He would have admired the car if it was the previous him, but the current Silas had seen and driven high-end luxury cars that now felt like toys to him. This was one of the reasons why he didn't want to hear the lady's introduction.
Yes, that's how it feels to be rich! No, that's how it feels to be wealthy!
