John couldn't help but ask Augustine when he saw him walk in, "What's the situation with the Soul Eater? Has he surrendered?"
"No," Augustine replied, shaking his head in frustration.
"How is that possible? All four of us are here now, and he still hasn't surrendered? Is the Soul Eater insane?" Alan said, looking surprised.
After all, from a normal person's perspective, these four were extrely formidable figures, and their reputation alone was enough to intimidate many.
"He's always been a madman. I have no idea what's going on in his mind," Augustine muttered under his breath.
"Could it be that the Soul Eater has truly reached the pinnacle of ancient martial arts?" Suddenly, Alice spoke up.
Everyone froze upon hearing her words, and their expressions seed off.
"It's impossible. Connor could never have reached the pinnacle of ancient martial arts!" Augustine imdiately shook his head.
"I find it highly unlikely as well. After all, the Soul Eater is younger than . How could he have reached the pinnacle of ancient martial arts?" John added.
"Then why hasn't he surrendered? Could it be that he still has so hidden cards?" Alice furrowed her brow, sensing that the situation might not be as simple as they thought.
"He probably still has so hidden cards," Augustine replied softly, then continued, "But I don't think we need to be overly concerned. Even if Connor has so tricks up his sleeve, he's no match for the four of us."
"Augustine, I think we should wait until the King of Shadows erges before dealing with him. It wouldn't hurt us, the four of us," Alice suggested quietly.
"No!" Augustine shook his head decisively. "I can't wait any longer. Besides, we don't know when the King of Shadows will erge. I want to kill Connor now!"
"Is it all because of a woman?" John said, very exasperated.
"Yes, it's because of a woman!" Augustine nodded.
"If it's just because of a woman, that's an easy problem to solve. Tell what kind of woman you want, and I'll find one for you. It's not worth risking everything for a woman," John said helplessly.
"You can't understand my feelings for Yelena. No woman can replace her. I must kill the Soul Eater!" Augustine clenched his teeth.
Indeed, Augustine's feelings for Yelena were extraordinary. Otherwise, he wouldn't have quietly cared for her for so long. While Augustine wasn't as angry when facing Connor previously, after learning of Connor's relationship with Yelena, he couldn't control his emotions any longer.
The other three people looked at Augustine with a sense of helplessness. They didn't know what to say.
"What do you three an? We had an agreent. You're not having second thoughts now, are you?" Augustine frowned and shouted.
"Of course not. Since you want to eliminate Connor, we will definitely help!" John quickly said.
"Augustine, when do you plan to take action?" Alice asked softly.
"Tonight!" John gritted his teeth.
Upon hearing this, everyone's expressions showed deep helplessness. However, they didn't continue to speak because they could sense that Augustine couldn't wait any longer.
On the other side, Connor and Alia were chatting in the courtyard of the mansion.
Most of the conversation revolved around Alia sharing her story, and she also inford Connor about the internal situation within the Rockefeller family.
After chatting with Alia, Connor realized that Mr. Long was indeed very formidable. The Rockefeller was currently in a state of disarray, with the Four Great Vajras constantly vying for power. Even without taking any action, their infighting had never stopped. Their family was on the brink of collapse, and it would have disintegrated within a year if not for the presence of Mr. Long.
"It's getting late. Aren't you going to rest?" Alia glanced at her phone and noticed that it was already early morning. She yawned and asked Connor softly.
"I'll wait a little longer. Guests are coming today," Connor replied calmly.
"Guests?" Alia paused for a mont and then looked surprised as she asked, "Are you saying that Augustine's people might choose to strike tonight?"
"They've already arrived," Connor said expressionlessly.
"They've already arrived?" Alia was surprised to hear this, her expression showing astonishnt. She had known about Augustine's intentions to confront Connor, but she had never expected him to act so hastily.
"Mr. Connor, how are you feeling right now?" Alia couldn't help but ask Connor with concern in her voice.
"Don't worry, I'm in good shape right now. They've given enough ti to rest," Connor replied softly.
If Connor had just arrived in England, he would have been in a very precarious situation if Augustine and his group had decided to attack him right away. At that ti, Connor was already seriously injured, and, more importantly, his body had reached its limits. Engaging in another battle would have been extrely risky.
Unfortunately for Augustine, he missed two opportunities to kill Connor. If he had known that he could have easily defeated Connor when he killed William, he might have thought differently now.
While Connor appeared confident at the mont, Alia couldn't help but worry about him. After all, this ti, four Celestial Ancient Martial Masters were taking action, and their combined strength would be formidable, even for soone at the Pinnacle Ancient Martial Arts.
