"The authorities are looking for ?" Juan couldn't help but look puzzled when he heard this.
"Yes, the authorities have already been here once but left when they couldn't find you. They're probably heading to your ho now. You should find a place to hide. Yamino's situation is really serious this ti," Mr. Copper explained urgently.
"What about you, Mr. Copper? What will you do?" Juan asked after a mont of hesitation.
"You don't need to worry about . This matter has nothing to do with , and I'm just a vice president. I doubt the authorities will bother with ," Mr. Copper replied.
"Alright, thank you, Mr. Copper. If the Yamino family can make it through this, I'll definitely show my gratitude," Juan said earnestly.
"Mr. Yamino once did a great favor, and what I'm doing is to repay that debt. You should leave now!" Mr. Copper insisted with an earnest tone.
After a brief hesitation, Juan didn't say more and turned to run out of the company.
On the other side, Yamino had also seen the news. He never expected to beco a wanted fugitive, with authorities searching for him all over the world. Even more surprising was that Asya, who had always been his ally, was now not answering his calls.
After making nurous calls with no response, he gave up on contacting Asya. He sat on the couch, his face filled with despair. He understood that Asya's refusal to answer his calls ant that he had likely believed the news reports.
The relationship between Asya and Yamino's father-in-law was extraordinary. If it weren't for Tatum, he would never have achieved his current status. However, the leaked information would reveal that Yamino had been using Asya all these years. He knew Asya's character well enough to understand that Asya wouldn't easily forgive him, and it was possible that he might even be targeted for elimination.
Originally, Yamino believed he had the upper hand, especially with the plan to have Connor taken out by Rockefeller's people. But now, with his past deeds exposed, he was in a dangerous situation. Neither Connor nor the authorities intended to let him off the hook.
Yamino found himself in a state of isolation and despair.
"It must be Taran. Taran actually joined forces with Connor!" he exclaid angrily.
He realized that only Taran could have been aware of the incident involving Tatum's death. Most of those who knew about it had been eliminated by Yamino over the years, leaving only Taran. Yamino couldn't have imagined that after all these years, Taran would reappear and target him so directly.
"Connor, I won't rest until I've settled the score with you if I can make it through this! I'll never forgive you!" Yamino gritted his teeth.
However, he also knew that the evidence against him was overwhelming. Even though he suspected Taran's involvent, he couldn't prove it. Yamino had once believed that if he could just wait for Rockefeller's people to eliminate Connor, everything would be resolved. Now, he had lost that opportunity.
"Ring, ring..."
At that mont, his phone rang. He picked it up and saw that it was a call from Juan. He quickly answered.
"Dad, it's a disaster. Our company is in trouble. The authorities have sealed off the company and our house. What's going on with you?" Juan said, sounding very distressed.
"The authorities acted so fast?" Yamino was montarily surprised.
"Yes, and I heard you're now wanted by the police. Dad, is it true that you killed my grandpa and mom?" Juan asked sowhat naively.
"Are you out of your mind?" Yamino shouted, his expression one of disbelief. "Others might suspect , but you, too? I've watched over your mother's well-being from the beginning. How could I have killed her? All of this is a setup by Connor. He's trying to fra , don't you understand?"
"Dad, don't be angry. I didn't an anything by it. I was just asking..." Juan hastily explained.
Yamino took a deep breath and continued in a low voice, "I don't have the energy to explain these things to you right now. We need to leave Yarlford imdiately. If we stay here, we'll likely be discovered in no ti."
