"This...," Taran looked at Connor, wearing a sowhat conflicted expression on his face.
"You don't need to worry. Since I've asked you to be a witness, I'll ensure your safety. I can guarantee that this won't have any adverse effects on you," Connor reassured him, noticing his concerns.
"Mr. Connor, you saved my life, so even if you ask to go to jail, I wouldn't mind. After all, I want to seek revenge on Yamino. Right now, my main concern is that even if we present the evidence and I beco a witness, we still might not be able to bring a case against him. What should we do then?" Taran asked in a low voice.
Connor smiled faintly, understanding his doubts. He whispered, "Are you worried that my connections won't be effective?"
"I'm not questioning your abilities, Mr. Connor. It's just that I know Yamino very well. He's skilled at using his network of relationships. Over the years, he has likely gathered a lot of compromising information on others. In essence, they share mutual benefits and risks with Yamino. So, I'm genuinely concerned about whether our plan can proceed as intended," Taran explained.
"Rest assured, the person I'm going to contact can definitely help us bring a case against Yamino, and no matter what connections he tries to use, it won't work!" Connor said confidently.
Taran hesitated for a mont upon hearing Connor's assurance, and then he asked in a soft voice, "Mr. Connor, would it be possible for you to reveal who this person is that you're contacting?"
"Her surna is Winston," Connor replied softly.
"Winston?" Taran paused for a mont and quickly realized who Connor was talking about. Although he had been imprisoned in the Blood Moon Sect for many years, he had already heard of the influential figure surnad Winston before he left Yarlford. Additionally, during this period, he had gained so knowledge of the outside world, allowing him to deduce who Connor was referring to.
"Mr. Connor, if you can truly get in touch with soone like her to help us, then I think your plan is nearly perfect!" he said excitedly.
"If you think there are no issues, I will arrange a eting with you and the person I'm contacting as soon as possible. You can explain the situation to her," Connor told him.
"Alright, no problem!" He eagerly agreed, still amazed that Connor had connections with the Winston family.
"If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now!"
"Very well, I'll see you off!" Taran stood up to escort him, but he declined.
Afterward, Connor briefly inquired about Yama's recent situation, although the mories were fragnted and not particularly useful for his current situation. He left a bank card with Yama and then departed with Yolanda.
...
Once they were in the car, Connor dialed Yuna Winston's number.
Because Yamino's network of connections was truly formidable, if Connor tried to involve soone else, it was likely that the evidence in his possession would quickly be suppressed, rendering it ineffective. Moreover, in Yarlford, Connor was cautious about using excessive force. After all, there was a significant gap between Yarlford and the Winam, and if Connor took things too far, even with his imnse abilities, he might ultimately face dire consequences.
Therefore, Connor was currently focused on dealing with Yamino through legal and conventional ans.
He contacted Yuna without prior contact with Chelsea as this was a matter of urgency.
Ring...
After a prolonged ring, Yuna finally answered the call.
"Who is this?" Her voice was sowhat unclear.
"It's , Connor," he replied with a cheerful tone.
"Connor? Why are you calling so late? What's going on?" Her attitude beca sowhat warr upon recognizing his voice.
He glanced at his phone and realized that it was only a little past 10 PM, not particularly late.
"Yuna, are you going to bed so early?" he teased.
"I'm not as busy as you, and you have so much to do. I've heard you've beco quite famous in Yarlford, defeating Beau and Walter. I can't believe it's only been a few months since we last t, and now you're so accomplished..." she comnted.
"They're just spreading rumors. I'm not as skilled as they say," he replied modestly.
"Alright, why don't you tell why you called? How can I help you this ti?" she asked.
"I understand, you're a busy person. I haven't heard from Chelsea for a long ti; I suppose she's busy too," he replied.
"I don't know what she's up to. She hasn't contacted either," Yuna sighed softly before continuing, "So, why did you call ? Is there sothing you need my help with?"
Knowing her straightforward personality, he didn't beat around the bush. He explained the situation with Yamino in detail to her.
"I see. You want to help you deal with Yamino, right?" she asked in a hushed tone.
"That's the idea, but I don't need you to do anything specific. I already have both evidence and witnesses. What I need now is to find soone reliable," he clarified.
"Although I'm not in Yarlford right now, I do know a bit about Yamino. He has a formidable network of connections, and there are even more terrifying forces behind him. Dealing with him won't be easy. Finding soone capable of helping you is also a challenge," she cautioned.
